GoogleWe were told that there were hundreds that matched for our lifestyle business. We have had 1 viewing, 2 no shows so far. If we pull out of contract we have to pay £5,000. We thought it was 6 months, it is 12 months. Communication is poor. No replies to messages we sent, they called at least 3 times to ask same question about lease. We have reduced business to half price & still no interest. They seem popular for Northern area but not South where we are. People use Rightmove & they are not on it. Please read all of the small print in case you get burnt like us.

GoogleWe recently completed the purchase of our salon business with the help of Blacks Business Brokers, and despite it being a challenging process (through nobody’s fault), Blacks were brilliant throughout. Special mention goes to Amy Page, who provided fantastic customer care and communication every step of the way. Amy went above and beyond to keep things moving, ensuring we stayed on track despite the hurdles we faced. The level of service we received from Amy and her team was outstanding from start to finish. I dealt with Ian Ratcliffe who was utterly brilliant, I originally was enquiring about a different opportunity but on finding out more that particular opportunity didn't fit my needs. I let Ian know what I wanted and he found an ideal investment for my criteria and went through the entire purchase process all the way even speeding up potential solicitor / tenant delays by keeping in contact with everyone to ensure all was running smoothly. I would give 0 star if I could. Don’t trust these people. They are just scammers. I gave them my business to sell it . I paid £1800 upfront , They didn’t even arrange one viewing in 6 months. Just a rip off.

We advised on several occasions that a valid non-domestic EPC was required in order for the business to be marketed in compliance with the legal requirements relating to commercial property, and that this needed to be put in place within the required timeframe rather than after a sale had been agreed. We also believe that prospective buyers should be given clear information at the outset so that any interest is genuine and properly informed, rather than based on incomplete details that may not lead to a transaction once the full information is known. While we appreciate your frustration, we do not accept that characterisation of our business or service. We remain willing to discuss the matter directly and professionally should you wish to do so. GoogleMy business has been listed for sale with Blacks Business Brokers since May 2023. We had a bit of a slow start in terms of viewings. Then they started to come in. My listing was also passed over to Amy Page who has looked after my every concern and the negotiations after receiving two offers in the same week. I cannot thank Amy enough. Amy is super friendly and has lifted my spirit when I was struggling during the process. She also works hard behind the scenes chasing buyers/solicitors to help get a sale over the line as quickly as possible. Don’t trust this company. They told me that there is no obligation or cost involved until I sold my business and that I never needed to agree to selling but when I told them I’d rather not sell the business they ask for thousands of pounds and threatening court action.
We are sorry to read your review and disappointed that you feel this way, particularly given the amount of work undertaken on your behalf. For clarity, we carried out a significant amount of marketing, generated enquiries, and successfully secured a committed buyer for your business. This required substantial time, resources, and negotiation from our team. Unfortunately, after we had secured an agreed deal, you then chose not to proceed with the sale. While you are of course entitled to change your mind, this outcome was unfair on the buyers involved, several of whom invested their own time, energy and costs throughout the process. The buyer who wished to proceed was understandably frustrated after committing to due diligence and the agreed terms. Our terms of business, which were signed at the outset, explain the circumstances under which fees may become payable, including situations where a seller decides to withdraw after a buyer has been secured. These terms were fully explained and are standard within the industry. We appreciate that deciding not to sell a business is a personal choice, but it is important to acknowledge the extensive work completed and the impact of a late withdrawal on all parties involved. If you would like to discuss your concerns directly, we would be happy to do so and clarify any remaining points. The Blacks Business Brokers Team
