The team at Penny & Sinclair were transparent, responsive and helpful throughout the sale of my 1 bedroom property in Oxford. They were honest and upfront about the potential sale price (whilst other estate agents wildly inflated the valuation), which I appreciated. The property was marketed in Dec and I had an offer at asking price by end of February. We completed in June. All in all a very positive experience, would definitely recommend.

I’ve recently chosen Penny & Sinclair to help me find tenants for my house in Oxford and manage the tenancy. I was impressed with Nicola’s excellent communications, knowledge, expertise, efficiency and professionalism. Soon I realised that the P&S team shared with her these qualities, which made working with them all seamless and pleasant. I was delighted to experience effortless and excellent communication within the team. Thank you Nicola, Lucy, Molly, Wills, Sean, Daisy, Samantha and Emily. They all worked patiently with me to identify people who soon rented the house and are now enjoying living in it. P&S continue to provide excellent management and timely communications, information, advice and assistance. For these reasons I highly recommend Penny & Sinclair.

I wanted to commend the very impressive manner in which our agent Sean Herdman-Low at Penny & Sinclair has taken us through the process of selling our house. I have bought and sold four or five properties over the last thirty-five years and Sean has been far and away the best agent I’ve ever dealt with. I invited five of the main Summertown estate agents to come and value our house and Sean’s obvious enthusiasm for it, and my instincts, told me he would be the right person to sell it for us. From the beginning all his communication has been prompt and clear, he’s intelligent and well-informed, he’s unfailingly professional but also brings a sensitivity and caring to the process which has been very much appreciated during a sometimes stressful process. Great service all round and highly recommended.

This a review of Nafeesa Ahmed, who manages my rental flat at Penny and Sinclair (I am the renter, not the owner). There were many problems with the flat when I moved in, all of which predated Nafeesa's joining the company. These have been addressed in a timely and efficient manner. I am *very* impressed with her dedication and commitment to providing excellent service. Having rented flats many places in the US AND UK, I can say that Nafeesa Ahmed is the best property manager I have ever worked with.

Selling your family home is a big scary venture. I invited 3 local Estate Agents to value the house, then I picked the one that I thought I’d most like to work with, and that was Joe at Penny & Sinclair. He comes across as a genuinely nice guy, because he really is a genuinely nice guy. But he’s also incredibly good at his job. He understands the local market, and quickly lined up a week of viewings. No time-wasters, just genuine buyers who actually wanted our type of house. In no time at all, we had multiple buyers interested, and we accepted an offer well above the asking price. There were bumps along the way, as there are with most house sales, but he was on-it straight away, liaising effortlessly between buyer, seller, and both solicitors. I would have no hesitation in recommending Joe & his team.

GoogleI have recently concluded the process of re-letting a property through the Burford branch of Penny & Sinclair and have been very pleased with the level and quality of service I received. I have previously used another local letting agent, who were fine, but did not have the same level of personal attention and emphasis on customer service. On that note, I would particularly like to mention and thank Helen Lee, who I dealt with almost exclusively throughout. She was consistently excellent in her approach to finding the type of tenants I wanted and keeping the continuity with one person from start to finish was really valuable. She responded quickly to questions and was responsive to my suggestions. All in all, I can thoroughly recommend Penny & Sinclair Burford, and Helen in particular. Helen Lee has been nothing but diligent and reliable throughout our two tenancies and we are happy to continue on with her as long as we can. And as we went through a house sale as tenants, Robin was so great with communication and was always accessible when I needed info. I highly recommend this establishment and their steadfast team members.

GoogleWe moved into rented accommodation in August 2020, and Helen from the Burford branch of Penny & Sinclair was absolutely brilliant, every question was answered quickly and to our satisfaction. They provide a comprehensive inventory prior to moving in, and any queries we had were answered or resolved brilliantly. Once moved in that service hasn’t faltered, any issue at all, she has sorted speedily and made life very easy for us. I would highly recommend P & S Burford, and in particular Helen.

I dealt with Penny and Sinclair for two short lets for my five-month stay in Oxford. Amber Littlechild was professional and courteous and was very helpful in every step of the process. Amber met me at the flat each time to deliver and pick up the keys and was available every time I needed assistance in between. I was also refunded my security deposit in a timely way without undue waiting. I would certainly lease through them again!

Communication with them is difficult, they are micromanaging the guests which is intrusive of privacy and frustrating throughout the stay.
We're sorry to read your review, as it doesn't reflect the experience we aim to provide. We were somewhat surprised by your comments, particularly as you have chosen to book a return stay with us for 54 nights commencing in early September and have left us a five-star review on Airbnb. Throughout your stay, we responded promptly to your queries and worked hard to assist with any requests you raised. On a number of occasions, we also contacted you regarding property security after the house was left unsecured while unoccupied, with windows left wide open and the rear gate left open. As managing agents, we have a responsibility to protect both our clients' properties and guests' belongings. The additional cleaning service you requested during your stay was arranged as requested. When the associated invoice remained outstanding, we followed our normal payment process, including seeking assistance through Airbnb. Unfortunately, the subsequent communication became difficult. We always welcome constructive feedback and strive to provide a professional service while balancing the needs of both our guests and our property owners. We wish you well and look forward to welcoming you back for your upcoming stay.
