GoogleWe recently bought a house through Potter & Ford. Nikki, who showed us around, was really friendly and Richard, who we dealt with for submitting our offer and the logistics after, was also really patient with us as first time buyers and helped us understand the house buying process a little better. Overall a great experience!

GoogleI cannot speak highly enough of Potter & Ford’s service and professionalism. Richard and the team dealt with my sale in the manner I’d hope of a local experienced agent, even with the odd twist and turn thrown in! I would recommend them to anyone wishing to sell or buy in the Chesham and Amersham area.

GoogleIf I could put 0 stars I would. From the start of our first tenancy we ran into a few minor problems nothing to bad just a few misspellings of names and little details like that. Then after using them a second time they seemed to decline rapidly. We have received disgusting emails from serval people after being told repeatedly we were allowed a pet in the property to then told we could either pay £600 to keep her there or get rid of our beloved pet (as if that’s even a choice) or face eviction. I could write a whole essay on the disgusting treatment we have had to deal with. Disgusting company and horrendous staff.
Dear Annie, I'm so sorry you feel this way, we pride ourselves on trying to give our customers the best service we can and I will always try to address any negative feedback. In this instance a pet was introduced to the property after the tenancy began, this was not permitted but the landlord said they would accept with an increased deposit of £600. GoogleWe were treated to rude, ill-mannered behaviour by a female member of the letting staff at Potter and Ford. We had gone to great lengths to return the property to the level of cleanliness that greeted us 3 years ago, in many respects we surpassed it, I believe. We had arranged to meet the member of staff on site at a prescribed time to conduct a survey of the house with them. When my wife arrived she was informed, brusquely, that the survey had already been conducted, she demanded my wife surrender her key, and effectively, clear off. In the last week of our tenancy, at some inconvenience to ourselves, we agreed, at short notice to allow prospective tenants to view the house. A senior member of staff responded with grace and gratitude. You have now shot yourself in the foot entrusting this ill-equipped, ill-advised woman with the handover. Potter and Ford, you are a service industry in a small town; treat your clients with contempt at your peril.
Dear Mr Reddyhoff So sorry to hear about your experience, the lady in question is an independent inventory clerk not employed by Potter and Ford, we use a few different companies for this service, we have never received a complaint about her and generally have found her to be very reliable, thorough and friendly. We take all complaints seriously so will be speaking with her and explaining that she is representing us and our clients and we expect everyone to be treated with respect and in a friendly manner. All the team are fantastic, especially Kirsty, who was absolutely wonderful in showing me round various properties to rent, and helping me to secure a good deal on a lovely cottage. Don't bother with anyone else whether buying or renting in the Chesham area.

It feels very family orientated and like nothing is too much trouble. Other agents we viewed houses with felt like it we we're just another number but both Richard and Nikki couldn't have been more helpful on this journey which is both exciting and daunting. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and we would definitely highly recommend using them.

GooglePotter and Ford are a lovely local team. We viewed many houses during 2022, 6 were with Richard, Robert and Nikki. We bid on 3; the 3rd being the house we bought. We always found them very straightforward to deal with, happy to pick up the phone and talk something through if needs be, as well being very involved in the local community. They appear to always have a good caliber of house on their books and are fairly priced in the market. A great representative for local businesses in the town.

GooglePotter and Ford provided an excellent service in finding tenants for my flat - professional, honest, reliable and friendly. Kirsty, who has been my main contact, maintained frequent contact in a friendly, personable, honest, fair and professional manner (not exhibiting any of the corporate style of trying to impress while leaving doubts they may be hiding what is going on, which I fear occurs in the bigger chain estate agents, quite often). She was not in such a hurry to find just anyone who will pay the requested price, but took care to check out trustworthiness and was quick to inform me when she had uncertainties about a prospective tenant, allowing me to decide whether to proceed. But also she would not dismiss a prospective client for unfair reasons. While it may have meant we were not quickly successful, it has ensured I can be confident about the tenants being good, reliable and hopefully long term tenants. The rest of the team seem to be equally professional. Potter and Ford provide a superb service that I would fully recommend.

Everyone at Potter & Ford have been so kind and available during and since, and I could not recommend their honest, experienced and most importantly friendly service enough to anyone looking for an estate agent to rent or sell a property. Having dealt with so many other estate agents in the area during my long and frustrating search for a new home, I can also honestly add that Kirsty and the whole team at Potter & Ford are head and shoulders about the all others.

They have provided an excellent and professional service from the start to completion and were very helpful and accommodating with different aspects throughout the whole process and conveyancing. I would like to forward special thanks to Mr Richard French who stayed and assisted me greatly with the purchase that had many unfortunate issues. His positive approach and good advice have made it less stressful and worth it at the end. I would most definitely not hesitate to recommend this Estate Agent to anyone who is looking to buy, sell or simply rent out a property.
