GoogleThey only care about the landlord. Throughout our tenancy they always seemed nice, but when it came to an end they were disgustingly rude, condescending and aggressive towards us. We had been very reliable, good tenants and we were treated like absolute rubbish at the end; it also appeared they wanted to just add every charge possible. Their customer service was awful, they consistently patronised us and I would never ever rent with them again.

I am very sorry that you have felt this way at the end of your tenancy. I have looked into this, and firstly, it is important to realise that our client, your landlord, proposes the deductions from your deposit, not Open Doors staff. Nicky and Jalina had no intention to be rude or patronising, they do however have to ensure that the checkout report notes anything that is beyond fair wear and tear. In this instance, as you know, we did everything we could to mitigate costs to you. We let your father back into the property after the tenancy ended to redecorate the room that had been damaged by blutac, we were also able to dispose of items left in the property at the check-out (including a bed) free of any charge. I know that moving is both stressful and expensive, so of course we try hard to ensure you have every opportunity to get works done before your tenancy ends. In this instance the burn to the carpet and damage to the hard floors and stained mattress were, as you agreed, beyond fair wear and tear, and your landlord proposed a nominal fee by way of compensation. They are easily contacted, respond very quickly to any problems large or small. They also take an interest in us and seem to care, always ready for a chat.
