I would also highly recommend James Agent. Not only was the pricing clear and competitive (the one-off fee was a refreshing change from the commissions and complicated add-ons the other agents offered) but right from the start, Donald provided a friendly, informed and professional service. Nothing was too much trouble for Donald whose enthusiasm, approachability and knowledge made the process much easier than it could have been. As a result of his help and guidance we received an excellent offer within days of the house being listed. Donald kept us fully informed throughout the sale and continued to keep in touch between offer and completion with regular updates and invaluable advice and reassurances. Can't recommend Donald and James Agent highly enough.

Thank you Adam (James) for providing an excellent service. Throughout the whole process Adam gave me support and confidence 24/7, as well as keeping me up-to-date with progress and advising me on my options. Several very competitive sales packages were available and the personalised service was second to none. Adam has extensive knowledge about the housing market and used this to promote and market my house. House sold within 2 weeks with several offers on the table - excellent result. I cannot recommend Adam more highly. From the initial consultation, where Adam spent a long time looking around the house, making suggestions and giving us an accurate valuation (Adam is a qualified surveyor) to the prompt closing date and sale. Adam is very knowledgeable in this area and was always available to answer questions. One of the huge advantages is that Adam is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so anyone wanting to view can call and make an appointment at short notice: especially useful on a weekend. There is a fabulous feedback system so we could get viewers’ feedback. Adam, who is a really genuine, friendly person, was in regular contact with us and went out of his way to be helpful. His service is also incredible value for money. Look no further than James Agent!

We used James Agent as a result of a recommendation from McGill Mortgages, Melrose to sell my parents home. Adam responded very quickly and professionally to our enquiry and arranged to meet with me at the property within a day. As other reviews state Adam is very knowledgeable as a qualified surveyor and looks at the possibilities for any future development of the property with a realistic vision in terms of design and planning. It was also refreshing to receive texts of upcoming viewings and also a call from Adam after every viewing which provided excellent communication. I can honestly say that the service was seamless from start to finish and have already passed on Adams details to several friends. I would recommend paying the extra charge for viewings and let Adam manage a "stress free sale on your behalf"

We’ve just sold our house with Adam at James Agent and the process could not have been better. An excellent, personal and efficient service from start to finish. He is a complete professional, friendly to deal with, refreshingly honest and knows the local market so well, making what could have been a stressful experience really straightforward. He has a great system for keeping track of viewings and feedback and, thanks to Adam, our house quickly went to a closing date and sold at a great price. And after the sale was agreed Adam kept in contact with solicitors on both sides to keep everything running smoothly all the way to completion. I have no hesitation at all in recommending James Agent. It was the best decision we made in selling our house.

We recently sold our house with Adam and, from the off, experienced a really personal, modern service. His experience in the sector really became apparent as we went through the sale. Due to Covid-19 many people are viewing initially online and one of the main reasons we chose Adam was the addition of a full professional 3D walkthrough video of the house to the marketing suite of advertising. This helped the house stand out and generate a lot of interest quickly as viewers didn't have to piece the house together from pictures.The system used for tracking and notifying of viewings and feedback was excellent and Adam was always superb in getting back to us if we had any questions. As a local estate agent Adam really offers a superb service with a wealth of local knowledge but with modern methods and gets back to you when he says he will. We would highly recommend Adam and James Agent to anyone looking to sell their house.

We used James Agent for selling a property and we couldn’t ask for a better experience. Adam James was quick to reply to all my queries, honest, up-front and reliable. There was no fuss, and everything was dealt with efficiently, courteously and respectfully. As I didn’t live at the property that was being sold, it was a great experience to have access to an App on my phone that told me who was booked in to see the house, when their appointment was, and if they had made an offer for the house. This avoided having many phone calls regarding the house sale, which for someone with a busy working life like me, was really helpful indeed. Very highly recommended!

James Agent are a new type of estate agents, head and shoulders above the tired and complacent old high street agent/solicitors that are the norm in Scotland. Donald was very professional, friendly, and efficient. Add to that their use of modern technology means they can be contacted outside office hours, and the seller can use an app which lists viewings and delivers feedback. The fees are lower too! We sold our house within days, and were kept informed every step of the way.
