We sold our property and purchased our new home through S&W and whilst the transaction was tricky and very stressful to say the least with parts of the chain and their respective solicitors slower than we would have expected. However and thanks in no small part to Rosie we finally completed on the 4th June and i am pretty sure we would have given up had she not been so proactive to chase and keep the chain moving when all seemed lost. Rosie provided updates regularly and sometimes more than once a day to keep us informed we cant thank her enough!!

Chris came and valued our house, he was very polite friendly and knowledgeable in his approach. We felt listened to and confident that our house will sell. During the whole process, various members of the team interacted with us, Harry showed potential buyers around and liaised with us, he was very friendly and polite. Our experience with S + W has been positive from the outset. Having purchased with them we also have now sold and it went well. It took a long time to go through but this is in no way their responsibility/fault. Particular credit to Rosie T in sales progression, she absolutely toiled to keep the show on the road when some of the other solicitors created hurdles that I didn't have the time or understanding to try and solve. She definitely kept things moving and undoubtedly helped with things concluding/agreeing exchange earlier than we otherwise would have done. She was also great with timely and meaningful updates which was greatly appreciated. Thankyou Rosie! My only gripe from the overall process and giving 4 rather than 5 stars was viewings being cancelled on the day - whilst fully appreciating there is only so much within control of the agent, we had multiple viewings cancelled/no show on the day, which was incredibly frustrating at the time. It's hard to say if this was entirely the fault of the prospective viewers (possible) or if more confirmation/verification could have occurred prior to the appointments. But other than that, all good! Overall, more than happy to recommend and will use again in future when the time comes without hesitation.

I was a little anxious about the prospect of trying to sell my late parents’ property in the village. However, from our first meeting with Chris it became clear that he had done a lot of research on the area and was able to put us at ease and advise on an appropriate guide price. The speed of putting the property on the market, including photos, plans & virtual tour, was very impressive, and the first viewing took place just two weeks after that first meeting. We were kept well informed about all the viewings that followed, including feedback from each and those regular phone calls also served to provide moral support in stressful times. I had assumed that the property would be sold to somebody local, but clearly the sale was advertised far & wide, with the eventual buyer living 100 miles away, so well done S&W for reaching a wide audience. Special thanks to Caroline, who kept us well informed during the lengthy sale progression and was a useful link to the solicitors and was always able to respond quickly to any queries. Well done to the whole team, you got us there!

Excellent support for the sale of our property. We had a very challenging sale for our property as the process went on for much longer than expected and became very stressful however throughout it all the sales progression team kept us updated on a regular basis, they were always there to offer support and tried exceptionally hard to keep the chain in the sale moving along although there were many challenges. Caroline from the Poringland sales progression team was fabulous, so calm and attentive and always updating us when she said she would, she worked exceptionally hard to help negotiate us through this very frustrating sale I can’t thank her enough. Great team, I would certainly use them again for future sales.

I had such a good experience with…

I had such a good experience with Starkins team after trying to sell with another agent. I immediately felt the difference in a positive way. They are very kind but honest and determined to get the best deal they can for you. They took time to understand my separation and how emotionally challenging it is to have to sell your home when you are in a break up. They felt very safe and Ana James and Sam took very good care of me. I think starkins are fair , empathetic but professional and reliable. When selling your house you really need to be able to trust the agent and know they properly understand you and have time for you. I also liked that I got to speak to Sam weekly with updates and could call if I didn’t understand something . They are easy to talk to and easy to be around especially when taking care of viewings. They made sure my house sold at a price we needed and I would highly recommend them.
