Don’t want to sell house anymore but they advertise it anyway!

We told Starkings & Watson in writing that we had decided not to sell our house and asked them to remove the adverts. They declined, and said the property would stay advertised until our notice period ended a fortnight later. We also made clear we would not be accepting any viewings or offers, as we no longer want to sell our home, and the adverts stayed up regardless. In my view, advertising a property as for sale when the seller has confirmed in writing that it is not misleads the public, and I don't think a seller should have to argue to get their own home taken off the market. Disappointing way to treat someone at the end of an instruction. Would not recommend.

Excellent service from the whole team in the Poringland Office, from when we made initial contact with Carl who was very efficient, Chris who did the valuation and managed the sale, Jamie who secured the sale within 24 hours of when the previous buyer pulled out and Harry who was very helpful and did a lot of the viewings. The communication and access to the team was great. All the team that I had dealings with at the office did a great and professional job throughout the process. The best agents in Norfolk!

My selling process was so long and I never once felt that S&W took their foot off the pedal. Kerri gave good sensible advice throughout and once I was passed to the Sales Progression Team all my contact was with Janet. I have sold 3 houses and I dont remember another estate agency offering me the service I had with Janet. She was calm, understanding very pleasant to deal with I must also mention Chris who updated me and steered me through the final week prior to exchange which was probably the most anxious for me. The professionalism from the team was outstanding and I can honestly say if I was remaining in Norfolk I would never use a agent other than them to sell my property.
