I requested for a viewing and they made me go through all referencing phases before I could be considered to view and got no update from them only to find out the property was already let out.I’m not surprised seeing negative comments here.I don’t think they know what they are doing at all

Awful Estate Agents! Please avoid them if possible. We were selling our home with this branch and we were never communicated with. They would show up at random with people wanting to view the house, and we had no time to prepare. When I told them that we never got a call about the appointments, they said that they had talked to my husband about it, even though he was at work. When my husband called up to say that they had never called him, they said that they had confirmed it with me. They never knocked on the door when they would come, they just let themselves in. Once they let themselves in while I was in the bath. The man that was going to show the couple around just stood at the door and tried to chat with me, even after I asked him if they could come back later! He said that they would be there soon, so he was just going to do it anyway. They would get mad at us if the house was a mess when they showed up unannounced, saying that it was taking so long to sell because we were not ever prepared. How do you prepare for something that you don't know is happening?Then when it finally sold, we were told we had a week or so to leave. Then they showed up with the buyers and said that if we didn't get out the next day, he was going to give the buyers the key so they could come in and throw all the stuff we hadn't moved yet in a skip. The contracts had not even been exchanged yet and they were threatening to come around and trash our belongings! It got so bad that we had to involve our solicitors. I would not recommend!

Over the last year my Husband & I have had several dealings with different estate agents and solicitors. From those experiences I can honestly say that Erin & Abi at Goodchilds (Brownhills) were always polite, professional & excellent communicators. It must be mentioned that this has not always been the case in our experience with others we have dealt with so we must give credit, where it's due. They always kept me up-to-date with the recent developments and nothing was too much trouble. Awful communication and customer service! Tried booking a viewing! Staff member was rude and Took over 15 minutes to ‘wait for the her to finish her previous task!’ Finally was able to get our viewing confirmed.. less than 3 hours before viewing - was cancelled due to the amount of interest! Awful from the start!

Demand unnecessary information

We have enquired about rental properties through this estate agents, but they will not even consider you for a viewing unless you submit a full application including your bank details. Having gathered enormous amounts of your personal information, they don't even bother to contact you unless you are successful. Furthermore, they ask for documentation they don't even need (you do not need my passport, driving licence AND birth certificate) so it's virtually impossible to even get past the application form the amount they expect you to give them. It's a completely unreasonable amount of personal information to require just for an enquiry

Absolutely awful estate agents

Absolutely awful estate agents - please avoid at all costs. I rented with the Lincoln branch and have never had such a poor experience in all my time. They were condescending, rude and just damn right deceitful. I was complimented on uplifting the property standard and then when I moved out to move into somewhere bigger, they refused to give me my deposit over a light bulb that was out, removing the stick on tiles I had put on - despite telling me it had to go back to the original condition etc. I had to fight through the deposit scheme and the staff and manager I spoke to were so incredibly rude to me at the time. I have never been made to feel so awful. I had my reservations when moving into the property as their communication was poor and I should have re-evaluated what I was doing then. Fortunately I am qualified in housing and know my rights but they still made my life very difficult.

They’ll steal your deposit

They claimed to have protected our deposit with TDS and there aren’t any records to confirm that, asked for the deposit reference number and they don’t have it, contacted TDS and they say that they never received anything from them. It’s been over a month and now they’ve stopped taking our calls.Only thing left to do is sue them and never do business with this poor poor company…it’s a shame that professionals can be thieves too.

Still waiting after 12 weeks and find someone else is in the property….

Wow I would avoid these like the plague. My son and his fiancé brought a chain free home and thought it would be a easy sale but no it’s been over 12 weeks now and the seller has moved to another country. But we have found out that there is someone else living at the property when was told the house was empty .. So what a mess their first home but maybe it’s not going to be. They’ve been calling the estate agents and always say we will get back to you. . Very poor service
