We were updated at every opportunity and Del was so lovely and was quick to answer any and all of our questions without making us feel silly for our lack of knowledge! GoogleThis is our experience as first time buyers with the 'big' estate agency. We put an offer in on a property, at first they were great with good communication and always quick with advice and help. As first time buyers we were advised by our broker to hold off on the expenive solicitor searches until we had our mortgage offer. From then on, all we had from the agency was negativity and pressure laying techniques to change our minds on the decision, to start our searches, pay the solicitors ASAP to get the house sold. Every time we had communication from the agency we dreaded answering the phone, opening emails. Regardless we were on point with communicating back quickly. We were close to recieving an offer from the lender which the agency knew, however it was still delayed due to circumstances with the lender. We were constantly pressured to spend alot of money on the solicitor searches as we were told that 'thats the risk you take' before having the mortgage offer. We were then fed with an ultimatum from the agency that if we didn't start the solicitor searches to get the house sold ASAP then they would put the house back on the market. So we had no choice. The agency was also hassling our solicitor everyday for updates on the searches to use this against us with pressure. We then had a surveyor come out to the house, with shocking results on the report. none of these issues were disclosed at all. They were pushing to get the house sold to two first time buyers that they probably seen as clueless. They tried to use all of the pressure teqniques to get this disastrous house sold to two vulnerable first time buyers who probably would have if it wasn't for the survey which actually saved our backs. Stay away. The fact that they only respond to the negative reviews here with defense and anger speaks volumes

GoogleCan’t rate them highly enough! We called with a week to go before Christmas as we had seen our dream home and wanted to act quickly. Paul couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating arranging this even getting to ours to photograph at 7 in the morning as we had work. The house was on the market straight away with viewings the following weekend and a subsequent sale followed a few weeks after Christmas. Communication from Paul, Kate and the team in the office was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and as a ‘worrier’ I felt comfortable with the communication I received from all involved at all points of the sale. Paul and team, can’t thank you enough. GoogleUsed twice. Excellent. We have used the Big Estate Agency to sell our own house when we relocated back down south and when my father passed away we again used this agency to sell his house. The staff are very compassionate and understanding. Very helpful with any queries, great prompt contact and communication and very reasonable fees. The presentation of photos and 3rd viewing video was exceptional and we sold both properties within days of listing. They really showed both homes off to their best potential and this ensured fast sales. They really are such a great team we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again! Highly recommend

GoogleBeen ingored many times by the agency by emails and calls . I was waiting for response regarding a shop for over a week. As I been told the landlord is on holiday but some how, I just find out its was gone by the sign on the shop Let Agreed.... So I don't understand why it was hard to say on beginning the shop has gone but to waste my time.! Would not recommend at all.
Hi Kaja As discussed on the telephone yesterday, we marked the shop as 'Let Agreed' as the landlord had agreed to let the premises to you or the other person. We did not need to take any more enquiries hence the change from 'To Let' to 'Let Agreed'. Unfortunately the landlord chose the other business. I am sure that this is disappointing for you and your business. We manage many retail premises, and in normal circumstances we would keep you informed when the next one becomes available. We always act in good faith and give a fair opportunity to all applicants. As such, your 1 star review is unfair, disappointing, and damaging to our small, family business. I would therefore appreciate it if the review was removed immediately. Many thanks.

GoogleI would just like to say that the team @ the big estate agency are fantastic. I mainly delt with Kate who was very supportive with our recent purchase. We arranged for 3 visits before having our offer accepted. They recommended a solicitor to use Cross Solicitors who were also very good and moved things along. GoogleIf this review help at least one person to escape of the troubles caused by this agency to me and my family, then I know that I did my part. They are the most unprofessional agency that I ever dealed with!! They never gave us the necessary support during a Carbon Monoxide leakage caused by unlicensed employees that they have sent to fix my heating system (which poisoned me and my family), and tried to make it looks like it was our fault! They were absolutely unresponsive when we had problems, and in the end of the tenancy the manager Paul decided not refund half month of rent that the agency owned to me. All these cases are already on the court, but it generated an absolutely stressful situation. Seriously, if you are doing business with them or will do in the future, BE CAREFUL, they were good until the problems start, and then it became a nightmare!!! EDIT: The agency responded my comment, saying that they helped putting me in a hotel when my house was interdicted because of the monoxide leakage. That's True. They did it for the FIRST NIGHT! for the remaining 6 nights they've never responded my calls and emails, in the middle of the winter and close to Christmas, so I needed to pay the hotel myself, and they never gave my money back, that's why the case is now in the court. The deposit situation, that they mentioned that I won, was not against the landlord, as they said, it was against the Big State Agency, that never gave me back 15 days of rent, and then the Ombudsman suggested for them to pay me. As you all can see, many distortions of the truth, unfortunately. But I also wish them well with their business, and I hope they don't make any more customers to pass for the same situations that I passed.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
Hi Jairo. The dispute between yourself and the landlord over the deposit return was settled by the property ombudsman and we came to a satisfactory resolution for both parties. I am very proud of the way my staff conducted themselves following the carbon monoxide leak, which included us putting you and your family up in a hotel. I have no problem with you voicing your opinions, however the comments about fake reviews are incorrect and unnecessary. I think is would be appropriate for you to delete this review now. I wish you and your family the very best in your current home.
