Luigi is a Superstar!

We were recommended Luigi Lattuca from Ocean Mortgages by a family friend. I actually contacted Luigi via LinkedIn and was impressed by how quickly he replied and set up an initial meeting for us.We were first-time buyers and didn't think we would be able to buy a property in Bristol. Within a half an hour meeting with Luigi he had answered all of our queries around buying our first home, and gave us a clear plan of action.Even after arranging our mortgage, Luigi continued to support and answer any questions we had. We cannot thank him enough, and we will be recommending him to anyone that needs mortgage advice!

Very helpful move manager

Our property sold very quickly, so I can't comment too much on that side (except that Sam and the team were very friendly and helpful in all communications!). But the real star for us was our move manager Sadie. We had a long chain (5 houses), where we were in the middle, and Sadie was great at chasing all the solicitors and keeping us informed of the progress. Unfortunately we had a last minute change of dates, and Sadie was key to getting the new date agreed quickly, and as completion approached she was keeping an eye on things for us even on a day off, so truly went above and beyond! We would definitely recommend Sadie and the whole Ocean team.

Great service throughout

First of all, I was happy with the original valuation of the property, which sold at asking price. The sales process was long, and complicated by one or two factors outside anybody's control, but Jamie and Sadie were extremely helpful throughout, keeping me informed, always available to help with any queries and really going above and beyond to make the whole process run as smoothly as it could in the circumstances. Don’t expect your deposit back. Still waiting to hear back on our deposit being returned over 5 weeks after leaving the property. Agent is totally not interested and just says “we are awaiting the landlord”. Tenant Deposit Scheme states deposit should be returned within 10 days of vacating

Melissa was fabulous. There were some very slow inquiries sat with Oceans clients solicitor. Melissa continuously did everything in her power to chase up often calling as soon as she’d put the phone down to me and ringing me straight back with updates.There were a few hitches towards their end with agreeing completion date and indemnity policies etc but Melissa helped us through it all. Jemima & James @ Ocean - Amazing!

Jemima & James @ Ocean have been absolutely fantastic in the whole process of both offering and moving me into my new rental property. From the very beginning I met James who showed me around the property which I literally fell in love with immediately and expressed my interest in securing it. James was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the process and came back to me so quickly with the offer. I wanted to move in quickly and both James & Jemima did their best to meet my date requirements which was fantastic. They both went above and beyond with my additional requests. The process was pretty smooth considering I am new to the rental market. Upon handover I met Jemima for the first time. What a lovely young lady! She was so friendly, understanding and knowledgeable and explained everything on the move date. There were lots of follow up calls to check in on me and any issues have been picked up immediately for resolution. I cannot thank these guys enough for such a lovely experience. Ocean have earned their money from us

Ocean have earned their money from us - we have been selling my Mum's house for over a year and it completed last Friday on the 3rd sale. A bumpy ride at times, but house selling is a stressful process. Some personalities at Ocean easier to deal with than others, but the contacts we eventually worked with were really friendly and helpful and gave the impression they genuinely cared. A special mention to Nicola the 'Move Manager'. I was sceptical to start with, but what an asset she was. She kept everything moving along with the sale, quickly chasing up any tardiness. It was encouraging to have someone to regularly check in with, especially when not much seemed to be happening. But we got their in the end - thank you.

Financial Advisors: Mortgage and Protection

Simon and the team were very friendly, and helped with all aspects of choosing a new mortgage for our house purchase (we were selling and buying). Simon also helped us through all the options of mortgage protection (life cover and income protection) - these were clearly explained, and it made the process of choosing the various covers much more straight forward. A great experience from start to finish. Communication from everyone at Ocean was professional, timely and informative. Curtis took us smoothly through the initial marketing process before passing over to Move Manager Lauren who kept us updated throughout the sale. Using Ocean’s in-house conveyancing team made things really easy as everything was under one roof, and again Lily and the team were a pleasure to deal with - nothing like the usual narrative around solicitors. Staff helped us to navigate a few challenges elsewhere in the chain as we got nearer to exchange and completion, again keeping us updated and offering reassurance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ocean Estate Agents and Ocean Property Lawyers, and in fact have already done so which has resulted in friends listing their properties with Ocean! Our vendors’ estate agent also commented on how good Ocean were to deal with.

Louise Studley is the answer to what makes our experience of Ocean Lettings excellent: diligent in the everyday nitty-gritty of household issues. So if there was an issue of something needing fixing, she is there immediately organising the fixing of it. My mortgage was arranged by Richard Jarrett at Ocean, who was recommended by Adam Byrom and I couldn’t be happier. Richard was brilliant at a time where mortgage rates were changing almost daily, he dealt with numerous phone calls/e-mails from me per week without complaint and kept me updated constantly with prices and the best mortgage provider. He was professional, knowledgeable and polite and was brilliant throughout, got us a great mortgage at a great rate, if it wasn’t for Richard my mortgage would be at least an extra £100 a month if not more. Thank you to Richard and to Adam!
