We used ocean estate agents and solicitors for the purchase of our flat in Bristol. We would not recommend them at all. We were assured that by using ocean solicitors communication would be easier but if anything it was a hindrance as they played each other off against themselves, with us in the middle. About 80% of documents we received had errors in, including our names (several times), purchase price, amounts owed etc. We never got an update without chasing and important documents weren’t shared with us unless we asked to see them.We were given incorrect information by the estate agents upon our initial viewing, which was then repeatedly confirmed by them despite legal documents stating otherwise. This had a big impact on the buying process from our side.Our experience was one of poor communication, constant mistakes and lack of professionalism.

GoogleI had a great experience renting a flat through Ocean estate agents (Clifton). I viewed the flat through Molly Rees, who assisted me throughout the rental process. She was always very responsive, both by phone and email. As I had just moved to Bristol from Vienna (Austria), I had some unusual needs (such as being able to provide some documents in German, or to pay the first month's rent from an Austrian bank account), and both Molly and the rest of the team at Ocean estate agents helped me promptly with any questions or doubts I had. Another thing I found remarkable is that the flat I viewed in person looked just as it did in the photos and the online video (this was not the case with other listings I found online). If you are someone who has just moved to Bristol from some overseas country and are looking for a flat to rent, I would definitely recommend Molly and the Ocean estate agency team :)PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleWe have had a great experience with Ocean Lettings in Clifton! We saw our perfect flat on Rightmove and contacted them straight away to ask about putting in an offer. Everyone we spoke to was lovely and they were very helpful with our offer form and responsive whenever we rang with a question or for an update. Simon was quick to respond and friendly in his approach while supporting us with our house purchase. Service when picking up keys was not very welcoming. Asked in a very blunt way if I had the cash for appliances we were buying. Was not very friendly at this point. There was no congrats in buying the property. (Didn't feel special). At the start they were very friendly, but did not like the end when picking up the keys.
