The team at Hunters REALLY could not have done more to make the purchase of our first home go any smoother ! At times they went above and beyond to help us, and to allay any fears or worries we had throughout a very stressful process. They were always available to answer any questions, or find the answers if they themselves were unable to . Hunters Bishopsworth come highly recommended, by a very happy ( now ) home owner. Thanks Hunters .

The sale of my property went through the Hunters Branch in Bishopsworth (Bristol). I must confess that it has been a bit of a bumpy ride with some unexpected obstacles but it has been dealt with very calmly and professionally. The deadlines have been met and I cannot fault the professionalism of the team. I would like to take this opportunity to raise an issue that seems very present in the conveyancing market: When a client puts an offer on a property they should not be legally allowed to pull their offer out at the last minute. It happened to the buyer of my property as his own buyers pulled out. This put undue pressure on him and then on me as part of the chain. Withdrawing an offer should be only used as a last resort if unforeseen circumstances have been met and not as a mean to negotiate the price at the last minute.

Dishonest, incompetent and terrible attitude

Should you choose this letting agents here are a few things you can expect as routine:1) Lying about the status of properties on the market and deliberately misleading all parties on the status of such properties.2) Arranging appointments to view properties that they don't even turn up to meet you at.3) Cocky, arrogant and sarcastic customer service. They really do not care AT ALL!Literally the worst letting agent you could ever choose to instruct. As you can see from the other reviews, dishonesty, incompetence and terrible staff attitudes are a feature. There is a reason for that. Be warned.

Don’t sell with hunters

If you are selling your property please avoid hunters, they charge an extortionate fee for buyers to provide ID when purchasing a property and use a 3rd party company to complete these checks, sadly that company are really poor and their app doesn’t work meaning the whole process of confirming who you are is near impossible despite having to do so to sell your own property.

Hunters Belmont Circle

Called Hunters Belmont Circle to arrange a valuation of my home. They asked me the reason for wanting to sell and when I told them it was because we're divorcing the representative immediately turned frosty and said they charge for valuations if your selling due to divorce. Imagine you're presented with a very devastating and traumatic life event, and then the pariahs come a hunting to see if they too can make a profit out of someone else's misery. Shameful.

Why all the complications?

Tried to book a viewing online of a property in South Shields. I received multiple text messages and emails asking me to complete a further questionnaire before they could proceed. This questionnaire then appears to have prompted another questionnaire (with multiple further texts and emails), which looked like it was going to try and book me in for a property valuation of my current home. I decided instead to call and try and book a viewing. The gentleman who answered seemed thoroughly disinterested and told me viewings could only be booked for weekdays, and only during the hours of 9am to 5pm. I explained that I work during those hours (as most people do, I would suspect) and he said, 'Ok then, bye' and terminated the call. Not sure exactly how anyone is supposed to view a property with Hunters.

I would highly recommend Jake from Hunters Bishopsworth for being professional and attentive with our sale and purchase. Although he was unable to help us due to the locality of our property, he put us in touch with Adam at the Portishead branch straight away. Adam then assisted us from start to finish and provided an excellent service 🌟 Couldn't recommend more!

Extremely bad experience with Unprofessional and Rude people... Preston Road Wembley branch

Preston Road Wembley Branch I regret to say that my experience with your service has been extremely disappointing. The level of unprofessionalism displayed throughout the process was astounding. From misleading information to outright lies, it became clear that your team was not transparent or trustworthy from the start. Unfortunately, after the deal was finalized, your true nature became even more evident. The promises made prior to the transaction were not upheld, and your team showed a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. I would strongly caution anyone against working with your company. Thank you for making this an experience I will never forget, but for all the wrong reasons.

Thank you so much to Rob

Thank you so much to Rob, I believe, that’s his name for going the extra mile to get my wristwatch fixed. It had unfortunately come apart whilst they were trying to install a battery. I am eternally grateful as the watch was special to me. They were most apologetic and ensured that everything was done to get the thing up and working. So once again thank you for your excellent customer service.100%

DO NOT use allenstone!!!! They had intentionally given us a price that was over inflated but took 3 months to admit this. Even after having several meetings with them asking exactly that, they would not admit it. The contract they ask you to sign is in direct conflict with the "property Ombudsman" regulations. There is no organisation at all and communications and feedback were awful. We never got told we had viewings until a couple of hours before it was going ahead. When we finally sold and handed them the key they gave us a "congratulations" letter offering us £50 if we referred a friend to them. After such a poor service from start to finish this was like a smack in the face. EVERYONE I have spoken to in the area had a bad experience with them or knows someone that had the same. We wouldn't recommend them at all

Absolutely the worst estate agents

Absolutely the worst estate agents , I booked a flat viewing at 4:45pm on Friday evening , I was left a voice message in the morning asking if I couldn’t attend please let them know, I was attending so not necessary, I drove for 50 mins in rush hour traffic and got to the property about 4:47 pm 2 mins late, on the travel over I phoned up the company 4 times leaving messages saying I will be slightly late no answer, when I go to the property the agent wasn’t there , no phone call to my mobile at any point, I knocked on the door and the owners were there very surprised to see me 🤔🤔 I said hi I have a viewing which they replied oh we didn’t know and there has been no agent there today waiting for me, it was very awkward looking around and then I left, the whole situation was a joke how DARE YOU treat potential renters/buyers that way not even turning up and even letting the owners know, waste of my travel time and petrol money , email the agents and they replied back there was someone there but because u was 2 min late they left as there to busy to wait, CROCK of S**t no one was there confirmed bye the owners, I really hope your company goes bust and u all lose your jobs , I should of look at the reviews on here before contacting your agency as there shocking and the worst Iv ever see. For a company Shameful Sharon mcevoy rude lady stay clear

Hunters

Hunters- Wallasey branchHunters- Wallasey branch. Horrendous. Absolutely no compassion or care during Covid-19. Even though the landlord is probably taken advantage of his mortgage holidays. Had no working fire alarms since February!!! Don’t reply to emails or answer the phone. DO NOT RENT OFF THESE. House was filthy when we moved in took me 4 days to clean before stuff could be moved in- told them this and they just said rented as seen.

Avoid at all costs. The worst of the worst!

Couldn't have come across worse agents. Took two months to get the house on the market because of continuous delays with contracts, photos and communications. Extremely unresponsive overall, would sometimes have to call for weeks to get an answer or an update. The agents come to house viewings without knowing anything about the house and they lie more than any service provider I've ever dealt with. The absolute bottom of the barrel of estate agents. Avoid at all costs!

8yo living in freezing apartment for over a week

The flat has no heating and the boiler is not working, while the agent claimed that they are working fine during the viewing. The engineer said it takes 3-5 working days to get the parts to fix the boiler, my 8yo has to live in freezing cold apartment for more than a week. The agents just sent us 2 portable heaters and said we have to bear with it.

If I could give zero stars or negative

If I could give zero stars or even negative stars, I would. From renting the property, collecting the keys, discussing the lease renewal, to the recent issue with rent payments, it has been a complete disaster. When I first viewed the property, I told the agent at Hunter that my current lease was ending soon and I needed to speed up the process of getting the keys. The agent assured me it would be fine and agreed to hand over the keys on Monday. However, I spent the entire Monday chasing them from morning to evening, even going to their office, but still didn’t get the keys. When I arrived at their office, they told me some documents weren’t signed. I couldn’t believe they only realized this after I had to show up in person. The next day, I contacted them again in the morning, and once again, they weren’t ready. It wasn't until late Tuesday, right before their office closed, that I finally got the keys. A year later, when it was time to renew, Hunter told me the landlord agreed not to raise the rent, and I immediately accepted. They sent over the renewal documents, but before I could sign and return them, they called the next day saying the landlord had changed their mind and wanted to increase the rent by £200. I was shocked. How could they go back on their word? Hunter even insisted that the landlord had the right to do so because there were still two weeks before the lease renewal, otherwise, the landlord could end the tenancy. This felt like bullying, but I had no choice but to agree. Yesterday, I received the payment invoice for the renewal, but the amount listed was still the old rent. Since they issued the invoice, I paid the amount stated. Today, they realized their mistake and sent me an email asking for the remaining balance, even rushing me to pay immediately. I was at work at the time, so I couldn’t make the payment right away. Later, Hunter's agency called me, and instead of being polite, they demanded I pay as soon as possible. I told them I was working and couldn’t pay immediately, and that it was their mistake, not mine. They insisted I pay after work, but I had other commitments. I can’t believe they made the mistake but still had such a rude attitude. I will never use this company again, and I hope they go out of business to avoid further damaging the reputation of service companies in the UK.

I had Terrible Experience, Avoid at All Costs

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this estate agent. I paid a deposit for a flat, expecting everything to go ahead as agreed. Not only did they fail to give me the flat, but they also refused to return my deposit. Completely unprofessional and dishonest behaviour. I would strongly advise others to stay away, this is not how business should be done.

Poor customer service

My partner and I are looking to relocate to an area around a 5 hour drive away, we found a property with Hunters and booked a viewing. We loved the property so we asked the agent what to do next and he said email so we can get sent an application form; because we liked the property so much we emailed and called the branch to try and get ahead with our application. No answer from the branch after numerous calls over the period of an hour so we decided to go to the branch instead. After speaking to someone in branch (not part of the lettings team so they couldn't help us) they sent an email over to someone from the lettings department with our profile so they could send us an application form via email. This seems great, two emails, one from us and one internally expressing our interest in the property. However fast forward one week, with nothing from them and more attempts to contact from us, we finally get through to be told that someone that viewed on the same day as us has already completed all the applications and is set to start renting the property. No apologies or anything after explaining the situation and that we'd been trying to get in contact for a week.

It’s really weird, they just completely blank you if you try to ask to view a house… they have this weird rule of nobody is allow to view a house unless they are ready to proceed which means don’t even bother asking to view anywhere unless your house is sold, but they don’t explain that to you unless you call and hassle them about the few houses you’ve tried to ask to view.. the house we wanted to view has been up for months and months …surely the sellers want some kind of interest otherwise what the heck is the point of having your house on the market!

They couldn’t care less

Would even put this into minus stars if I could. The most awful company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Very good in getting you in at first however soon as they have their commission from you they don’t care about you. To start we had to push back as we had agreed a move in date paid for moving van. Kye who was our wonderful (not) estate agent thought it was acceptable to give us a call at 16:00 the day before to say we can’t move in this date. Extractor fan was broke in the property was promised this will be fixed at the start of our tenancy. They decided to send someone to fix this in our last 2 weeks of our agreement. The state of the flat when we moved in was beyond a joke grime on the kitchen top bathroom smelt disgusting was dirty. Carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the flat had been built. Marks all over the walls and blinds. We’re not trying to be overcharged for a cleaning service when the flat was left in 10 times better condition it was left in. Horrible company who don’t care about you after they have their commission. Also abysmal customer service constantly have to chase them for things
