To cut a long story short, I found myself far far away trying to resolve a situation where an electrician still had my house keys in his pocket but new tenants were due to move in that morning. Even though it was not directly John’s problem, he very kindly stepped in to rectify the situation. This was above and beyond the call of duty but, as always, he was professional, courteous, timely and proactive. I think I owe him a Christmas present! He honestly saved me that day and prevented a logistical nightmare. I’ve never dealt with an agent like him before because he genuinely wants to help. What a pleasure to deal with! Never thought I'd say that about any estate agent (!) but Zoe and John were friendly, professional and supportive through the turbulent year that was 2020! An estate agent is your representative before other people, and I was very happy that Zoe representing us to prospective buyers - reflecting our own values - welcoming, honest, friendly and trustworthy. Neither Zoe nor John put a foot wrong. They were thoroughly professional and always polite and helpful. I was always fully informed about what was happening. They provided a very personal service. Would highly recommend! John Hoole were the agents managing the sale of the flat we were buying and provided a very friendly and professional service throughout the process. When intially viewing the property Zoe gave us a comprehensive account, answering all of our questions (the virtual tour provided on the website was really nice too, allowing us to go back and look as much as we wanted after viewing in person, despite covid restrictions). We were kept regularly informed of any progress as soon as it happened along the way, found it very easy to get in touch with Zoe or John for any questions we had and felt that they had both our interests, and those of the vendors, very much at heart. Having initially marketed my property for sale through John Hoole Estate Agents and received an excellent standard of service throughout, circumstances dictated that the property would be rented out instead of sold. Whilst John Hoole Estate Agents are solely a sales agent, Zoe nevertheless went the extra distance by recommending suitable tenants straight away and setting up a meeting between us. I chose John Hoole to sell my home after interviewing a short list of local estate agents. I could tell from talking to John he had the knowledge and experience to be best placed to sell my home. Being well established in the area he showed he has the local knowledge needed for obtain a successful sale; which wasn't the case with more regional and national estate agents who promise unrealised valuations to secure a commission. Zoe, John's assistant, maintained the high standard shown by John and did a splendid job in getting prospective buyers interested and with progressing the sale to a successful completion. I cannot praise highly enough service Zoe and John provided during our sale. Although there were issues with a complicated chain which broke a few times they remained calm and reassuring throughout the entire progress. One thing that set them apart from my experience of other estate agents is their willingness to take time to answer questions and respond to phone calls and emails quickly. I can highly recommend John Hoole Estate Agents. Although my sale was a bit more complex and lengthy than I hoped, I was always kept informed and involved. When it required conversation with Landlords, Management Agents and Solicitors, I was supported through this and given all the help I required. As I had moved away from the area, I also required assistance in showing potential buyers, workmen and even surveyors around. Overall, I do not think that this process would of been successful with their help.

I sold my property in Carlisle Road with this company and the service I received was outstanding. So many estate agents talk the talk and then let you down once you have signed up. I would not use any online agent as I believe that is exactly what happens with a ‘cheap’ service. On the sale of your home you cannot get it wrong. Use a proper estate agent like these guys and you will have the whole thing managed smoothly from start to finish and your own expert to advise you on everything as the sale goes through. We have used John Hoole Estate Agents to sell four properties in total within the Hove area during 2015 to 2017. We were originally recommended by close friends who had used John Hoole Estate Agents in the past, and our experience has been the same as theirs. The service we have experienced on numerous occasions has been bespoke, very reasonable and they go the extra mile to ensure all parties are pleased with the purchase. I cannot fault the speed and consistency they work at, as they had referred the choice of excellent solicitors (solicitors of expert knowledge to areas within Brighton and Hove), and they had previously recommended relevant mortgage brokers for our buyers for a faster completion. As an overview we will strongly recommend JH estate agents.
