They really helped me secure the property I wanted despite there being a lot of interest and supported me when the process became long and stressful. Pleasant staff however could have done with being more assertive with our buyer who turned out to be unreliable and did not have the money to buy the property .they did find another buyer in time for us to still buy the property we wanted although lost out on the original one Overall happy but cannot give 5 for this reason

Helpful and polite service throughout the viewing. Once we found a property the signup and referencing was done online and was pretty straightforward. Have not moved in yet so cannot comment on the management of the property, response to requests for repairs and so forth just yet.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I don't even know where to begin! Awful communication between the agency and the landlord, ending up with us being told 2 very opposite and conflicting statements. The agent called Beth called my friend at 5.20pm saying that if we each didn't send over £100 by 6pm that same day we would lose the house, even though we had signed the contract. She also claimed to have called 4/5 of us about this earlier - however none of us had missed calls so this cannot have been true. Furthermore, we were all told that there was nothing to pay until June for a damage deposit of £650 each - but now we have found out that we now have to ALSO pay £468 EACH at the beginning of January which we were not aware of and can barely afford especially after christmas, and have barely any notice. We were then also told that the contract wasn't actually legally binding?? To top it all off, we have been trying to contact them about this to see if this is actually the case, via phone and email for over 2 weeks and have had no response, but they have time to spam us with advertisements for other houses not even in Brighton! They are not up-front about all the costs and are extremely awful at communicating. Needless to say I will never rent through Brand Vaughan ever again and will let people know of my experience with them.

Failed to turn up to value the property several times! Then fails to provide a valuation. After a few weeks I asked for the valuation. They sent within 30 minutes. Significantly undervalued compared to neighbours houses and another estate agent. Had wanted to use them but not now. Not impressed.

It’s been a difficult 18 months or so…

It’s been a difficult 18 months or so for everybody. What with Covid and then having the dreadful news that the house you’re settled in it’s going to be sold and you have to go and find somewhere else to live is one or is the most stressful things your ever going to do.So Brand Vaughan😔 where do I start🤔The extremely RUDE members of staff!!! Apart from one ladies. Thank you for being human The LIES to awful to imagine , but so very true. Having our Deposit taken and not returned because of some document, your told to sign because if you didnt we’d loose the house if you don’t pay Immediately!!! Then we find out that the house you're going to rent was meant to be unfurnished as “promised”and it’s now having a list of items removed. We had to chase this up numerous times over the course of 3 weeks,Only to be lied to. then at the very last minute only a few items are being removed. Yet a member of the team barefaced lied to us and said to us great news, the furniture is all being removed. Turns out that was rubbish.So on some technicality that is Tied with the Referencing company,Who when I called to challenge about this will deny all knowledge of it and say- it’s nothing to do them it’s down to brand Vaughan. And you’ve lost £400.we’ve emailed BV and asked for a break down of charges but still 5 days later haven’t had a reply.They never call to keep you updated , they only tell you what you want they think you want to here. Make sure you get all info in email , As one member of their team has an amazing Ability To be so very forgetful and denied everything she said !!! despite my partner writing it down and then throw out she’s being “you’re being aggressive and rude card.”😧And then refused to deal with my partner this was just completely unfair and extremely unprofessional. Tbh It never felt as though we were good enough, despite everything and my partner and I foster and the discrimination was disgusting. She was told no due to her job..and her income did count!?And to summarise. My partner and I my family have rented for 19 years with various agents and all of them have been a pleasure to deal with apart from these guys these guys are number one?? and a word to the wise when you do call up and express an interest in a rental or purchasing a dream home you will hear nothing but a wonderful number one they are on the voice messages it will drive you insane in my opinion and my opinion is my opinion they are by far no where near number one. Disgraceful bullies Nasty unethical lying creatures do not use this company. If by some miracle you do mange to rent from BV watch out sharks in suits!!!! I am taking this further with the property ombudsman and on the mark property regulators as the way we’ve been treated/robbed is not ok!
