Applied for an MIP with local firm thinking would get a more personal service. Tried back in early July and no response for a few days so decided service was not great! Wanted a responsive service. Then decided would have another go and sent salary slips as requested to the broker 19th July. No response at all to date! Now going to go to an online national service.

GoogleI had my property on sale with Fox & Sons Hove branch for no less than 3 years. Admittedly it probably was a niche house to sell as it had seven bedrooms. However, there were a whole series of problems that didn't help the sale. Firstly, I think the initial valuation by them was probably too high, but they may have done this so that they secured the business. Secondly the marketing was very poor. I had to rewrite the initial introduction on the sales document as it was so poor. The photographs taken did not do the house justice as was remarked on by several viewers. Then the best of the photographs that were taken were excluded from the sales document and it took them a long time to retrieve these. Thirdly, I felt the manager tried to bully me into actions I didn't want to take, and I had at least two flaming rows with him. To be fair they did do some good things like help to get me a roofer quickly when a tree blew down in my garden and the manager did put more effort into selling it when he latterly came on board. If things had stayed there I may have been tempted to give two stars. However, the thing that I have really given the one star for is what happened when a buyer was finally found. I had really semi taken the property off the market after three years with no sale, but allowed someone to come and see it and they made an offer. However, in three years you can imagine the price of houses had gone up a lot and my asking price hadn't. I initially accepted the offer but on looking at other houses, my house seemed very under priced. The manager at Fox Sons told me that these were just asking prices and the price i got was good. However, I did not trust this answer and got three more agents to value the house. Two said I should get 200,000 more and the third much more. The manager of Fox & Sons had anticipated this would be the case, as I think he knew how under priced my house was and had already asked the buyers what they could go to. The buyers could go to another 100,000, which I accepted as I was sick of the whole business after three years. However, the overall impression I have was that Fox & Sons are not professional and that they really didn't care that the price of my house was way too low as long as they got a sale; i.e. I felt they were not acting in my best interest but theirs. I wil never use them again and suggest you don't.

GoogleOfficially *the* laziest estate agents in Brighton & Hove! Well done!!! Shockingly poor service. On two separate occasions they were unable to attend a viewing and stood me up. When arranging a second viewing on a property I was informed of the 'situation' which the first agent had 'forgotten'. Blatantly encourage gazumping. Have had similarly poor experience at their Western Rd office. Proper cowboys, they just need somewhere to leave their horses and the look would be complete!

Unethical , dishonesty and unprofessional (Hastings Branch).Had an offer accepted in February 2023 with Hastings Branch. Toby Jones(Manager) was dealing with the case. For the last 6 months we have been told that the( lease holder management company) were unable to release a lease pack because there was an outstanding debt. Since then, there's been a series of excuses with the property. Miraculously, the lease pack was released soon after our second valuation which was completed on the 24/08/23. Following the 2nd valuation Toby contacted me and informed me that some else has now made a higher offer despite the property being off market according to the offer letter. In this process we lost money for legal fees ,2 sets of valuations and time. I would not recommend the Estate agency .

We tried to sell our property a couple of years ago with Fox and Sons, but then we had to postpone the sale so it was disappointing for us all. Tom from Fox and Sons in Crawley then decided to make it his life's work to sell our property 🤣 he went above and beyond to get the right buyer for us and finally it has happened so we can't thank him and his team enough. Tom never gives up and thats amazing. Abi, who is the Senior Branch Administrator at Crawley then went into archives to find previous reports which we desperately needed for the solicitors. Nothing was too much trouble for her and they still had them which was amazing. The new manager there Rebecca, has turned this company around and I couldn't recommend them more. Big pat on the back for you all 👏👏

I have to say how helpful the staff were at the Bognor Branch of Fox & Sons. They could not have been more helpful.They went out of their way to make sure my mum's sale went well, and she had tricky buyers to say the least, but all the staff were exceptional. They keep me updated with the progress and helped out with all the negotiation between all parties involved.My mum was getting very stressed with everything and they all helped to ease the pressure and situation.So I want to say on behalf of my mum and myself a BIG THANK YOU.

Crawley branchDo not go near this agency with a barge pole! From the outset promised a open day with a list of 500 people they would be phoning who would be interested (no open day happened) to over valuing and writing the contract that no matter what I sold the house at I would still pay the fee on the value they had put on it initially which was wildly over valued. Total scam and nothing but lies. The office is useless, they do not communicate at all and they have no professionalism at all. A total shambles and scam, worst mistake I’ve made choosing these cowboys to sell my house! USELESS!!

DO NOT USEI rent out a property via fox and sons and the service they have provided to me as a landlord has been terrible. They work on behalf of tenants rather than the landlord and I have had a number of issues.BEWARE of their 6 months notice period which is hidden within their terms of business and not clearly explained at the outset. So even if you raise issues and want to swap to another agency you’re stuck with them for 6 months.I’d highly suggest using another agency landlords!!

GoogleWe recently brought our first property through Fox and Sons Hove; Drew and the team were so helpful, and managed to get help get our purchase through really quickly. We had regular updates, which helped put our mind at ease as we previously had a purchase fall through with a different agent. Will definitely use again.
