We had an extraordinary experience…Leaders the best
We had an extraordinary experience renting the apartment through the Leaders agency. Our agent, Malik Miah, was exceptionally professional and transparent throughout the entire process; he provided quick and accurate answers to any questions we had. All fees and contract terms were clearly explained from the start, and the viewing was arranged promptly, with the scheduled time strictly adhered to.

Gosport Branch are beyond useless.
Gosport Branch are beyond useless.I was looking to rent a property for 6 months and Leaders are the only esteemed Estate Agency who never kept me up to date or in the loop about any properties I enquired about. There is no care for potential clients and no aid for those who are first time renting. No communication and no care. I will be sure to never go near the company in the future when buying, selling or renting.
Dear Olivia,We appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We strive for nothing less than excellent service, and we always take it very seriously when we hear of any dissatisfaction from our customers. We are sorry we did not meet your expectation in this instance.Kind regards, Customer Care Team

HEARTLESS SELFISH AND TOTALLY UNCARING
I am a tenant of leaders about thankfully to become an ex tenant. For eight long years I have endured a service that was to say the least pathetic. Failure to supply copies of the lease ,failures to renew leases on time, wrongful accusations of under payment. I had a hole in my bedroom ceiling that the landlord failed to repair for 6 months and when it was eventually repaired was left unpainted (PICTURES AVAILABLE). I have had to replace a fridge and washing machine which were part of the inventory. Despite this I foolishly kindly left behind (all in good working order) a microwave, and a small freezer. Leaders have my deposit of almost £900 but I am not holding my breath to see that. I am a 75 year old diabetic with extreme osteo- arthritis and wear hearing aids. My partner is 78 and disabled (she is a blue badge holder, for leader's information) Compassion and understanding are not in leader's dictionary. The regional director named taylor hides away. One star is too good. Still waiting for keys to be picked up to There is a leaders' board on a house 40 metres away and one would assume that leaders would visit with prospective tenants (poor things!!) so where is the difficulty in walking 40 metres to pick up some keys?Still no sign of any senior manager(?) UPDATEEventually gave in and sent the keys back to leaders BY RECORDED DELIVERY at Horsham asking for a receipt. No receipt has been sent. I am still waiting for copies of my last three leases promised by Miss Wright. My final email asking what was happening has been totally ignored. They care nothing for tenants only landlords. Avoid these ...... at all costs. the names of the leaders staff at Horsham with whom I have dealt are parker and sutton, neither have a clue.

Bedford branch - avoid at all costs, it's REALLY not worth it.
Where to start? The Bedford branch - specifically Kim (the manager), Jade, Lauren and Chloe - wasted my time, patience and fuel and all I received in return was disrespect.Initially, I requested to view a bungalow and arranged with Lauren to view on the following Saturday afternoon. After they closed, I received a text with the wrong date. I called back the next day and corrected their mistake - when I arrived on Saturday, I was waiting 40+ minutes alongside another couple for the Leaders agent to arrive. This did not happen. I had informed them I was driving over an hour to view this property so not only was my Saturday afternoon wasted, 66 miles (33 miles there and back) of fuel was gone and my patience was thoroughly tested. I left a voicemail and an email - on Monday morning I received no follow up. So I called, I spoke to Kim who deemed it appropriate to "state the facts" that her colleague was there and there was a "mix up" when I had the details written down so I know this was not true. As a goodwill gesture for what she insisted was my own mistake, she offered me to view a bungalow not yet on the market that was undergoing new carpets and a re-dec. It's worth noting that I had been explicit in saying that we had a senior dog who has mobility issues, hence needing a bungalow. I went to this viewing, using my annual leave to do so and was greeted with a severely dated and damaged property. The agent (Lauren) also apologised profusely for the "indiscretion" on Saturday and said that the colleague in question "received a thorough b*llocking for not showing" - admitting that I was in fact correct the whole time. Despite all of this, we agreed to apply to the property as with the promise of a re-dec, it ticked our boxes and we wanted somewhere for our dog to be comfortable. I was unable to get through to anyone that day so I left a voicemail. I then received no follow up the next day so I called and Jade sent over an application via email. I then asked for more information regarding the deposit as this had not been mentioned at all. Jade informed me that the landlord "would prefer" their No Deposit scheme as that would offer him "more protection since you have a dog and new carpets are being put down". I informed her that we would typically choose a traditional deposit as for 4+ years of renting (with our dog, might I add) this is all we have used, and she heavily implied that the landlord "could go ahead and put it on the market if you wanted a traditional deposit". After feeling pressured into agreeing to this scheme, we submitted our application. Throughout the weekend, we sought legal advice and was told that this scheme offered no protection for tenants and that conveniently, agents received commission when it was used. I emailed Jade and let her know that we had sought advice and would be going ahead with a traditional deposit only. Monday afternoon passed and I heard nothing, so again I called. Jade informed me that she was waiting for the landlord to get back to her and I would hear from her "by end of day". Of course I didn't, so I called again the next day and spoke to Chloe, who informed me Jade was busy and I could receive a call back from her or Jade's manager. I agreed to this and Chloe swiftly hung up before letting me finish my sentence. I then emailed Jade to advise her that I would like an update - it felt like I was being ignored for whatever reason. I then received a call from Kim, and was told in no uncertain terms that us having a dog and wanting to use a traditional deposit was causing the landlord to have second thoughts on our application as "the No Deposit scheme offers him 7 weeks protection as opposed to 5 weeks protection, and as it's a brand new house with brand new carpets, they're more than within their rights to refuse you". I asked her if she was aware that it's actually illegal to discriminate against us for our deposit choice and she said "it's his property, he can do what he wants. It's not on the market yet so he can just put it up and receive other applications." So her original goodwill gesture was now being used against us and our supposed rights as tenants were invalid because the property wasn't listed yet. She also had the decency to remark on our current tenancy when i asked for a timeframe, by saying "well as far as I'm aware you haven't given notice yet" implying that my wish for a timely response was irrelevant and how dare I? After this conversation, we had decided that the disrespectful and laughable nature of our experience with Leaders was a dodged bullet and we won't be proceeding with this property. I came on here to see if our experience was an isolated one - I'm disappointed but not shocked at all to see it's just how Leaders operates. Disgusting, disrespectful time-wasters - for your own sake, do not go near them.

STAY AWAY!!!
** I wish a 0/5 rating existed because they don't deserve a 1/5**PLEASE STAY AWAY from the LEADERS Letting Agencies altogether. What begun as an exciting process, quickly shifted into a nightmare situation.I am currently in the process of writing a formal complaint to all relevant bodies, however I am shocked they're still able to do business; with the unacceptable and disappointing service they're running. The LEADERS Agency is completely incompetent and the sole thing they know how to execute well, is feeding you lies and providing an extremely negative service. They are useless. The organisation between the agency, referencing company, and landlords, is non-existent! Communication is also appalling.DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, YOUR MONEY, AND YOUR EFFORT.Please don't bother, EVEN if you are desperate! Unless of course, you literally want to be f*cked about.

Second time renting with Leaders - I should have learned!
My move-in process was very smooth. Some of the repairs were a little delayed during my tenancy, but nothing too stressful. Then the moving out happened. This is the second time I have rented using Leaders, although the first time was the Cambridge branch several years ago. This is also the second time that getting my deposit back has been a complete headache, still pending. The person assigned the manage my check out, Lauren Morley, seems to have no clue what she is doing. Not only were there delays to the check-out report being sent to the landlord, but Lauren has been contradictory with the current status throughout. Firstly I was told that there are unlikely to be any deductions as the check-out report doesn't seem to show any flags. Then I am told that they are booking cleaners in, one day before the new tenants are scheduled to move in. The landlord was holding off with suggested deductions until viewing the property, almost 3 weeks after the check-out report was completed, but now Leaders have gone against this and are booking in cleaners - without sending me a quote (apparently they are still waiting for a quote, but they have booked the cleaners, I am not sure how that works). The landlord is still not going to the property until the day the cleaners are scheduled to go in. All of this on top of the fact that I have been told on multiple occasions that the Lauren will get back to me by end of business only to have received no response, it's just unprofessional.I have understandably had enough of being fobbed off. The attitude of the person dealing with my check out has been childish. She slammed the phone down on me, shortly after she abruptly told me that she had been out of the office and couldn't respond (there was no OOO on her email, so I don't know why she would assume I would know). She also seems to be making up the rules as she goes - she had clearly spoken to the landlord about this because I received an email saying they would release half of my deposit while waiting for the cleaning quote to come in. This does not seem like standard practice to me, and not at all what I asked for. I have since gone back and requested that she sends me the quotation, releases the remaining deposit, then we will wait and see what the receipt of the cleaning says before I confirm that they can take it out of my deposit. Clearly completely inexperienced.I will never rent from Leaders again and I have already warned my friends to avoid at all costs. I have rented from many agencies and have never had this amount of issues. I have also always received 100% of my deposit back from other agencies. Note: the Cambridge branch tried to charge me for a missing lampshade that wasn't missing! Scammers.

The Leaders team in Woodbridge are…accessible
The Leaders team in Woodbridge are always helpful and do their best to sort problems out quickly. I usually speak to Sarah Collins who can answer my questions. Recently I had a question about a statement which having phoned another department who couldn’t explain it to me, Sarah gave me a clear explanation. It’s reassuring being able to speak to a member of the team particularly Sarah on the phone whenever I need to.
Dear Seleena, We are very happy we could provide you with a positive customer experience.Kind regardsCustomer Care Team

A pleasure to work with
I have had my rental flat estate managed with Leaders Lewisham for twenty years. During that whole time I have been in regular contact with my property inspector, Kerry Turner. She is very experienced in her role, an empathetic communicator and is always upbeat on the phone. She explains things clearly and promptly, and has made this branch a pleasure to work with.

Leaders Letting agents Fallowfield the…
Leaders Letting agents Fallowfield the most disorganised unprofessional and downright ignorant people I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Not only do they lie their activities are bordering on illegal. They are holding back £2000 of deposit refunds on the 4 students who had the misfortune to assume they were decent. They failed to read the electricity meters in a timely way and now the account is in dispute to the sum of £1700. Rachel Brigwiod their Property Manager is completely clueless and pleads ignorance on every question raised. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS !!!!

Rogue Leaders
it were possible to leave minus stars then that is what i would award leaders because their customer service is truly shocking. Taking it from the top, the initial process of renting through them was made more difficult by their staff failing to scan important documents and relentless demands to visit the Redhill branch during the height of the pandemic, with documents that they had forgotten to request at the beginning, despite us living within 10 minutes walk from the Reigate Office, which would have been more convenient. Whilst viewing the property we were both told that the property would be redecorated and the ghastly wooden panelling would be painted, which turned out to be nothing more than a blatant lie. We only took the property on the assumption that the renovations would be carried out and were furious that we were being charged a premium rate for a substandard property. The rear garden was covered in such a dense covering of weeds that you could barely see the ground, despite much of the garden being concrete it was still covered in foot high weeds sprouting from the crumbling concrete. Deposited around the garden we discovered broken glass bottles, general rubbish and what appeared to be broken asbestos roof tiles from a shed or garage. The garden had recorded as being in a poor state on the check in inventory. The kitchen had clearly not been cleaned since the wooden cupboards a vile brown residue down them and the surfaces were greasy to the touch. the drawers also had a number of items left by the previous tenants such as school reports, photographs and debt collection letters. On the very first day in the property we discovered that the shower did not work correctly and on reporting this issue to Deborah, the property manager, we received what can only be described as a stroppy response telling us to hold the shower down to gain pressure. If the shower did not work correctly, why not send out an engineer? This was just another incident of Deborahs inability or perhaps lack of interest overseeing repairs to the property. Other issues in the bathroom included a mouldy shower curtain, blind and a window that did not close, a window that was listed on the check in as broken and was reported to Deborah who did absolutely nothing and did not even respond to our request for it to be repaired. The heating system was a relic from a bygone era and never heated the property correctly, again this was reported to the Deborah who did pass this on to an engineer but failed to make much difference. Understandably we had long had enough of this property and decided to put this nightmare behind us but it quickly became evident that leaders were going to make things more difficult. Deborah became rude and confrontational after discovering we had handed in our notice and refused to process the references for our new property until the following week despite having plenty of notice. It became clear that she was attempting to slow down the process due to sheer pettiness.Leaders began marketing the property over two months before we were due to leave, this included constant demands to access the property and daily emails which bordered on harassment. We made it perfectly that during viewings, potential tenants were not authorised to touch anything, this was with the agreement of leaders but on returning to the property after the viewing, we discovered that someone had opened one of the walk in wardrobes where all our possessions were clearly visible despite being requested to not touch anything. On one occasion a member of their staff carrying out a viewing attempted to gain access to the property without our prior permission, no such confirmation had been received for this viewing. We received an email from Jean, the so called senior branch manager at Reigate and Redhill requesting an “URGENT” EPC check whilst we were still in the property, upon calling the company who were to carry out the check we discovered that this was not in fact urgent and could be carried out at anytime after we vacated the property, on top of this we then discovered that Jean had gone ahead and booked an engineer to visit without our permission all during a global pandemic. On the subject of EPC checks, at the beginning of the tenancy we were told by an electrician that he “Had just condemned” that property, when we brought this up with leaders, their response was to not to worry as most properties fail. Overall, our experience with leaders leaves us with the conclusion that Deborah is a throughly inefficient, curt, confrontational and unprofessional individual. No matter how clean you leave a property, Deborah will claim otherwise and insist that an additional clean is needed despite a professional clean taking place.

Letting is easy with great Staff
Letting through leaders in Fareham was really easy and they've continued to provide great service since I moved in and have gotten settled. In particular Emily did a great job getting everything set up for me, talking to the landlord to make sure the contract worked for me and overall being extremely easy to get hold off when I needed answers to questions. I'd highly recommend both her and leaders for letting.
