100% great experience with Davis Gurton and Joe Mckue when they came to value my house, both really friendly and professional, didn't feel pressured into making any decisions there and then, and kindly said for me to take my time and let them know when i’m ready to move forward to putting my house on the market. Pretty disgusted with the Boston people in this Agency. I made a booking on 3rd March to view a property on Monday 7th which meant we would travel for 4 hours to make the reluctantly given time of 3pm. Late Sunday afternoon (6th) I happened to take another look at the property as shown on Rightmove and found it was listed as 'Sold subject to Contract' - Pygott & Crone don't work on a Sunday so that must have happened on Saturday 5th, but they didn't have the decency to let me know either by phone, email or even text. My wife and I could easily have spent 8 hours in the car, wasted goodness knows how many gallons of petrol and paid for our overnight Monday hotel only to find out at 3pm on Monday the property had been sold. That is an appalling way to run a business and shows what they really think of potential customers. My recommendation is 'Don't use them, they'll probably cost you money'

The gentleman, if you can call him that was extremely rude on every single occasion that I spoke with him. He had a bit of a god complex and thought he knew better than everyone else. I dealt with him on 2 different properties and each time he called me a liar. On the 2nd property I spoke with him about he also spoke to my estate agent who said the exact same thing and he even called her a liar, so I know it wasn't just me. There were definitely dodgy things happening with my offers as he must have spoken badly about me to the vendors as an offer higher than another buyer was turned down even though we were in the same position as the other buyer. I wouldn't touch these guys with a barge pole and won't ever contact them about properties they have for sale as they cannot be trusted. Buyers beware.

Contacted Pygot Crone Holbeach to arrange a viewing of a property we were interested in. Told someone would call back. No call back. Called again and again told someone needs to call back. Again no call back. Called again and was told the property was not on the market the owners were ill and taken off the market. Checked a week later and still on their website and on Rightmove. Called and was told the property was sold. A few days later when my partner called was told the owners were poorly and had been taken off the market for a few months. Also sent 2 emails enquiring about this and another property no response.

We have just had a very long journey to purchase our new property through the Boston office, partly due to an unreliable chain behind us and then the coronavirus lockdown. Coral Bennett at Boston has been fantastic. She has chased everyone and constantly checked back down the chain to find out what was happening and kept us informed every step of the way. Piss poor. Once we got our offer excepted, their attitudes changed overnight. We discovered loads of things they stated about the property were lies to push the sale and it reminded me of a dodgy second hand car sales. One woman that shall remain unnamed was particularly unhelpful, had a poor attitude and put the phone down on us when she didn't hear what she wanted. (Thank God she's put her notice in) This was just our buying experience, I wouldn't trust them selling thimbles, let alone houses.

Disgusting and incompetent behaviour

If I could have put no stars or minus I would. I offered on a property full asking price but the agent wanted it Subject to viewing. Sent my aip across holly in boston confirmed vendor happy with the offer just need to view on return from holiday today at 4.30. Gets a call and email from a joe saying vendor accepted offer over weekend and therefore viewing cancelled. Also tries to tell me cant offer without viewing which being a senior conveyancer for 27 years i know is totally wrong. Many people offer not viewing and I had seen it outside offered straight away just unfortunate that flew out. Have email stating offer accepted by vendor to come back to this just an absolute joke. Funny tho as was messed about on a bungalow in quadring years ago tenanted but we were not advised also subsidence it was a joke and the vendors Conveyancers couldn't deal with the issues again misrepresented. This will certainly be taken further. Absolutely rubbish service and to not even know what another advisor in office had done is just totally and utterly incompetent . Trying to make out it's my fault for going on holiday but I would have given full asking price without the viewing, obviously not even advised to the vendor. Emails from Holly very clear as are Joe's so let's see the poop hit the fan now!!
