Can’t tell you how helpful and wonderful Julie is at Destiny . She has made us feel comfortable and supported through the whole process far superior than ALL the other competitive companies we’ve been visiting too ! Her partnership with financial adviser Alister has also made everything extremely streamlined . They go above and beyond and we are very grateful for their help ! Even one of their solicitors, Emily was so friendly. We wanted to buy with Strata for their quality and even their employees epitomised this . Couldn’t recommend them anymore .

Excellent build quality and service

I have recently purchased and moved into a ROSAS four BEDROOM house at the AMBIENCE development by Strata. Charlotte Cora the Customer Experience Manager has been extremely helpful and provided great customer service from the start. I am extremely impressed with the build quality and service provided by Tom Rimmington, the Site Manager and his team they are extremely helpful professional and nothing is too much trouble. Five stars would highly recommend to anyone looking for a well-designed new build home finish to a very high standard and excellent customer service.

5 Star Strata. Excellent all the way ! at AMBIENCE

From the beginning to the end we have nothing but praise for Strata and their team. Every member of staff that we have dealt have been extremely professional, friendly and courteous. Charlotte Cora the Customer Experience Manager at Ambience was our very first contact, she understood our situation and what we trying to achieve. We cannot thank her enough, she was so helpful and considerate and kept us informed every step of the way. We had difficulties with the sale of our property, particularly towards completion day. We then had contact with Helen (Sales Manager) who again was absolutely brilliant and helped us through our stressful sale by assuring us that Strata were being patient with our delayed sale and understood our plight.Once we had moved in to our beautiful Palermo,Tom Rimmington, the Site Manager was our contact and any problems that we had (which were very few) were very quickly resolved. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his Tradesmen. All the Strata team have a huge amount of common sense and understanding and are most importantly, very good communicators. Quite simply, Strata have been nothing but excellent and we would certainly recommend them.

WOW Factor!

Firstly, i would like thank Marie for acknowledging my initial interest into Strata Homes. It was late one night when i made a search on the Internet, simply trying to find a new build property. Marie responded very quickly to my enquiry and pointed me in the direction of Strata DESTINY - Doncaster. Her recommendation was to contact Julie -Customer Experience Manager at this build site. I therefore, decided to book an appointment for the next day and a viewing was scheduled for the afternoon. I arrived at the build site and was greeted by Julie. I was truly made very welcome. We quickly proceeded to view 4 finished properties, namely the Passion Milan, a 2 bed semi. I was told, by Julie that i had the first pick of the bunch! As soon as i saw the properties, i had good feeling that i was going to buy and if possible, that afternoon. I did view all 4 properties, but i found that Plot: 059 was to my liking and the best option for me. Julie expressed, she would try and help me all that she could, to secure a good deal. It was now time to return to the site office, hopefully to strike a good deal. Before getting down to business, Julie asked, if i would like a drink of either tea, coffee or water? I chose a coffee and to my surprise, i was also offered a lovely chocolate biscuit. Anyway, refreshments out of the way and obviously not going into detail of the deal, i am pleased to report that i was able to get, what i believe to be a fantastic deal, thanks to Julie. The next stage was then to sign and date all necessary paperwork and finally pay my reservation fee. This was done very smoothly and in a matter of minutes. Because this was a cash sale, my expected date of legal completion is in about 5 weeks time. I simply can’t wait to take ownership of my new property and i’m also really excited about moving in. I can honestly say, best experience ever!

EXTREMELY POOR AND INSULTING

Had I written this review in June when I received the keys for our house, I may have given Strata five stars, but having moved into our property and experienced the aftercare I would have at times, struggled to give even one star. The overall standard of the finish within our property, in my opinion, falls far below what one would expect for a home advertised as 'luxury' and whilst Strata have sent people to rectify the issues, you never get the professional finish one would expect. On the face of it, staff always seem friendly and approachable and say not to worry about issues because "They'll sort it". This is normally followed with vague or no update until you chase it and get given an answer that nothing is going to be done. In my experience it is the customer who seems to follow this up as the levels of communication have, at times been non-existent.Having lived in my home since June last year, I gave Strata the benefit of doubt on some issues but it is now coming to light that we may have been mislead on a number of issues throughout the buying process. Despite several attempts to view the rear of the property whilst the house was being built, we were never given the opportunity to do so. I had concerns about the garden being on a slop and made it clear that we needed a garden that was fully usable and if this was not met, we would not purchase the property. We were told "don't worry. We'll sort it". A retaining wall was built to level the garden which sounds great. However, under 10-14 cm of soil was concrete which is 1/2 a meter wide and conitinues around two thirds of the garden. These areas are unusable; not deep enough to plant anything and the ground is soggy as water is unable to drain away. We have reported this issue and once again told "Don't worry. We'll sort it". Having received no communication after this, we chased this and have now been told that Strata will be taking no action to rectify the issue because it meets building regulations. In addition to this Strata have placed the boudary fence incorrectly but as yet this is still waiting to be moved. In my opinion, a clear example of being mislead. When we moved into the property, I questioned whether top soil had been used as there was a lot of rubble and broken glass on the surface. I was told that Strata do not provide top soil and that the ground is just rotivated. READ THE NHBC STANDARDS STRATA. I have now learnt that gardens ARE meant to have a certain depth of top soil. We have questioned the sound proofing within our home. We often hear our neighbours walking around their house and can hear their washing machine. There is no privacy within the house as you can even hear most things happening in the kitchen two floors up. Once again we were told, 'Don't worry. We'll sort it'. It has since been confirmed that there is no sound proofing between floors but it has passed minimum regulations so Strata will do nothing as per usual. Despite previous feedback about Strata representatives making negative comments relating to the local area this has continued making me belive that Strata do not care about the feedback they receive. A Strata employee even had the cheek to question my morals for serving in our Armed Forces.On moving into our home, we realised that our alarm was not working. It took Strata 11 weeks to rectify this issue by placing a fuse in the power socket and connecting a backup battery. Other installation faults have been the washing machine being incorrectly plumbed, the thermostates for the heating being wired up they wrong way and the shower not being sealed.Although Strata advertise that they sell luxury homes, in my opinion, they are barely delivering minimum standards. This includes poor workman ship, poor quality paint and a severe lack of genuine customer care. With luxury, one would expect standards to exceed the minimum. I believe Strata's use of the word luxury is misleading and a massive let down.In summary, the highlights of dealing with Strata is that our experience of the buying process was very smooth, albeit full of misleading information. The Customer Care Team appear to be approachable and friendly but tell the customer what they want to hear and when you chase them for answers, they tell you that Starta will not take any responsibility. I made several attempts to build bridges with the company but once again this has been thrown in my face. I even invited Mr Weaver to discuss the sone of the issues but this seems to have been brushed aside.In my opinion, Strata should start to exceed minimum standards before using luxury in there sales advertisements.

Best House Developer on the Market!!!

I can honestly say that in my life of dealing with people and especially companies Strata Kudos offer the best customer service experience possible. Nothing is too much or too little. A brilliant welcome is always received and Jenny is always on hand to help wherever she can. I have made an initial reservation and although it is 18 months away. I am confident Strata will enable me with all the best information from final reservation to mortgage options and final choices of fixtures and fittings for my property. I have had such a painful experience looking for properties and finishes that I liked however Strata hands down offer the best choices and layout of properties on the market. If nothing else please just go and have a look.

Excellence service from our Sales

Excellence service from our Sales Advisor Abigail Moody. From right at the beginning when me and my partner went into the sales office on the Emotion site in Hull to simply ask about the homes, she did nothing less than explain everything from start to finish, with a lovely and friendly manner. She gave us her number and was at hand whenever we needed her for any questions. We went away and came back that day ready to reserve our home, this partly being due to feeling so well looked after by Abigail. I was so close to giving this experience of ours a 5* however when we came around to securing our mortgage it was a abit of a slow process, which I completely understand is the normal expectation when dealing with mortgage lenders, however, we were left wondering what was going on on numerous occasions making just that part of the process a little bit stressful. Nonetheless, when we contacted strata and our financial advisor, Craig, to ask for updates, they provided us with details. We now have our move in date and it is all sorted, despite the slight critisism, our experience with strata has been brilliant from start to finish, from seeing the lovely show houses to signing our contracts, expertise where on hand to help throughout. As first time buyers we where given the right support and we are very thankful. Now we are looking forward to getting into our lovely new home. Thank you to Abigail, Craigand the rest of the Strata team.

Journey to a New Home

In February my husband and I moved into our first ever Strata home. We were immediately impressed with the design and build quality - the houses spoke for themselves! However, it is 34 years since we moved house and Tara Osman, at Definition Derby, supported us throughout our purchase. She rang us regularly to give us updates, tirelessly answering our questions and allowing us access into our home to be. Strata Experience

My experience of Strata from start to almost the end has been excellent. The sales team were always very welcoming and nothing was ever too much trouble. The on site construction team and in particular Mark Woodlock is always on hand to support and guide where necessary. Exceptional Service

From the moment we walked into the show house at Origin we have recieved amazing service from Esna Lee. We were first time buyers and uncertain of the buying process. Esna was able to answer all of our questions (we had lots and lots) and set our mind at ease during the process. We have brought at Temptation Burton, the treatment we received was brilliant Mary was great from helping us get what we wanted to delivering us flowers on moving day. Greg looked after us for the first couple of months with any issues which he ensured were carried out asap. My only gripe was that the finishing touches to the build i.e decorating and cleanliness were not up to our expectations. However I did report these to Greg and he solved them quickly. This has not dampened our experience and have recommended strata to our friends. Lovely houses with good incentives.

I excellent new build experience

So far our strata house has been fantastic, there have been the obvious snags you’d expect from a new build but all being organised and resolved quickly under Gabby’s supervision! Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming, the contractors have been very mindful of people living here and I must say that Darren and Gabby run the site very well. This being our second new build, by far this has been a vastly better experience. Had a visit from Jeff and Dave today to resolve some minor snags and they were so friendly and accommodating to me having a baby in the house and even interacted with him which was so warm and lovely to see! The snags were resolved quickly and with very little fuss, they even adjusted a couple cupboards for me (not on the list) but nothing was too much for them!

Where to start...

Where to start...Out Strata journey began on Friday 13th October when we met Ellie Hinds at Epitome Wakefield. We had already reserved a new build with another builder however the Palermo caught our eye and Ellie was the game changer. Long story short, we pulled out of the other builder arrangement and reserved with a Ellie the next day. Ellie’s customer service is exemplary. She made us feel like we were important and she cared about our new house purchase. She made sure every single thing was just right and everything went very smoothly. Exactly 3 months later on 13th January we moved into our Palermo. Everything I had asked for had been done and I was over the moon with our choices (kitchen, flooring, bathroom tiles, wardrobes etc).It was at this point that Matt Walters, the site Project Manager took over and was keen to get our (very short) snagging list ticked off. We had a couple of minor things which were all rectified immediately and again, the customer service was exemplary. I can’t speak highly enough of Matt. I know he has a huge responsibility taking care of the whole site but he has the patience of a saint when I ring up and ask for things and nothing has been too much trouble. All the lads on site are pleasant and polite and are a credit to Strata.Having bought numerous new builds in the past, I can honestly say I have never known such outstanding customer service and I would not hesitate to buy another Strata in the future. The contemporary features and solid design of the property are secondary to the joy it has been to buy and move into our new home.Thank you to Ellie and Matt for making it all happen and I hope you both get the credit you deserve for your outstanding service.

I found the whole process of buying my new house with Strata very smooth and without problems, being assisted by Kathryn Read in the Marketing Suite @ Ambition. In particular, the conveyancing carried out by Gordons LLP of Bradford were very professional and kept me informed at every stage. I chose to facilitate my mortgage via PMFS who were recommended by Strata and their advisor Adrian took care of everything. Jayne and Abbie in the sales office where always very helpful and got us any answers we needed! Jayne was especially helpful when we put the reservation down on our house and got us a great deal! When we moved int out property the we never actually met the site manager however his apprentice was extremely helpful and got all of our snags sorted within 2 weeks which I was very impressed with. We love our strata home and the finish is amazing, we would highly reccomend strata to other people thinking of buying a new build house as out of all the new build companies we looked at strata really are the best in finish and customer service! We feel lucky for our opportunity to buy a beautiful Valencia off the Opulance development in Whetstone. We initially dealt with Sadie in the sales team, who was nothing short of honest and helpful. There has been some change in who we are dealing with now, but I have no doubt that we are still in the right hands. Today I met Charlotte, who was absolutely lovely. Not only did she take the time to take out all the samples for the options we chose for our interior in between her busy day, but she also very kindly put together a printed image too. I cant wait to take this with me in the boxing day sales!Moving house is so stressful when you are constantly sorting other formalities around a busy schedule, but Charlotte has still reinstilled some excitement in us! We have moved in to a new build before, and we are more than aware that there will always be some teething issues with a hand made product. I trust we will be looked after well once we move in whilst we are in Charlotte's hands. We will be more than happy to change this to a five star rating once we are in and settled!
