Fantastic experience buying my first home at Kudos, from viewing the show homes and reserving my property (Lille) on my first visit Jenny was an absolute star. Everything explained to me about the process and being kept up to date with all stages of the build. I've moved in 2 weeks ago now and the fit and finish of the house is excellent I have no complaints at all.Would definitely recommend using Strata to anybody and for a dead easy largely stress free experience go see Jenny at the Ambition development!

In love with my new little house. Rachel in the office was amazing and made the whole process super easy. I moved in 5 weeks after putting a deposit down which was so perfect for me! Couple of little snags which are inevitable but Beth and the team were so quick at getting them fixed. Everyone on site is so lovely and nothing seems like too much trouble.

Impressive from the start

Impressive from the start. Thank you to Zoe for bringing everything together in order for us to live in our dream home.Service excellent. House excellent. Quality of fixtures excellent. Amount of space in the property is excellent. Storage availability is excellent. Quality of products used (appliances, doors, windows and fixtures) genuinely excellent. Great team on mortgage side. Attention to detail on finishing is excellent. We would strongly recommend Strata to anyone investing in a home. Struggling to put into words how elated we are with everything. This is the second house we've ever purchased brand new (from plan) and our experience on this occasion has exceeded all expectations. We had to look very hard to find the smallest of snags as everything was finished so well with attention. Instead of being let down with lower quality fixings/products (as happened in our previous home) our expectations have been exceeded again with quality sinks, taps, handles, windows, extractor fans, etc etc etc. Zoe, thanks, Melanie and Chelsea thanks, Dan and Nik thanks, thanks head office for top level service. Strata - Definition

This is my first home and at first I was apprehensive about buying a new build. However, from the first day of stepping into Strata’s offices and following a recommendation from a family member who has already purchased a property with them, I have not been disappointed. Although the house is not yet fully complete, I could not fault Strata for how they’ve handled the process - informative, proactive and great customer care. A massive thank you to Tara who has been an absolute star, always keeping me up to date with build progress and checking in to make sure all is okay. From looking at the brochure to choosing interior furnishings, Tara has been an absolute pleasure to have worked with and a real credit to Strata! Let’s hope I am just as pleased with the final product when it’s complete.

Highly recommended

After having a very bad experience with another new build company (Kier) we walked into the strata office at the Destiny site and straight away Julie made us feel welcome. Not only did she make us feel welcome but she restored our faith in humanity and helped us out with advice & information when we were in a very difficult situation. The whole buying process from start to finish has been so much easier than we’ve ever experienced before, a lot less stressful and a lot more enjoyable. Julie has been there for every phonecall and visit and helped us out with the million +1 questions we’ve had. Out of all of the new build sales offices we have been in (a lot) with other companies Julie has by far been the most helpful, polite and informative person we have come across and we are delighted to be buying a house with her and the strata team. Hopefully everything runs just as smoothly with the exchange of contracts and then we can start getting (more) excited to move into our beautiful new family home. Thank you very much to Julie and everyone at strata! I would definitely recommend.

We found the destiny site earlier this year and to our amazement we found our dream home, thank you so much to Julie Furr in the sales team she is amazing and so helpful and made the process of getting our first home so easy and anytime there was a problem it was resolved quickly. I would also like to thank Nik - our mortgage adviser, first of all WOW!, He is brilliant at his job he explained everything so well to us and ensured we looked into all the insurances to see which ones would benefit us the most.In regards to this I would highly recommend purchasing a house with strata as they are a very helpful company and even if there are a few hurdles they will always do there best to resolve it.Thank you so much!Elisha and Ryan

Would have had zero stars if possible

Strata, Epitome, Wakefield:***UPDATE***I don’t know how it passed - if one was carried out. Please send me proof of these tests.Poor service all round from Strata. Where to begin.... I would have given zero stars but not possible. We move into our lovely five bedroom Palermo home in February 2018, and we are still waiting for our snagging to complete!! Strata seem to think this is acceptable.We first reported a problem with our heating and water (no hot water on day 2, back of the house so cold it wasn't habitable). The water was eventually sorted out, but an emergency plumber wouldn't come out, so husband had to be talked through a workaround solution - this stayed in place for a good couple of months.Heating was eventually sorted out in December - 10 months after we moved in - again Strata seem to think it is acceptable. Response from Strata throughout was that they couldn't find anything wrong. Eventually, it was discovered that there were gaps in the brickwork and the outdoors where they hadn't sealed the property correctly. We had paint on just about all carpets, drainage smells, windows not shutting/staying open, leaking showers, problems with the external doors. The list goes on and on. Most of the jobs on the list were very small and wouldn't have taken long to fix, but they dragged on. They claim they have a Customer Care team - do they? I'm not sure they do, this must be a figment of their imagination, if they do then they need to make it an efficient team.Strata do not get back to you; you spend your life chasing them up for responses. Workers don't turn up when you have to wait in all day for them.STRATA: YOur information is incorrect. I was speaking to Strata on a daily basis and calling into the sales office as you failed to remedy the situation so there was NOT an 8 month delay as you are trying to make out!!! You took that long to fix the situation that we had summer in the way. We then had to wait for the weather to change to get this sorted which took you a further 2 months to sort. Stop trying to make out that this is our issue, strata clearly failed. How the house passed director inspection and air tests I don’t know because it clearly failed when they came back in December and spent all day filling gaps!!We are still waiting for our guttering to be fixed - getting radio silence again!!!

We found Destiny Strata in Feb 2016, placed our interest and everything went from there. We dealt with Karen in the Sales Office, Ian and Billy were our site Managers, they came through the whole journey with us and honestly nothing was too much trouble, they went above and beyond, keeping us up-to-date and even getting us in before our mortgage offer ran out. The house was everything we could have ever hoped for, we moved in and just enjoyed life. The customer care from Ali has been exceptional, all issues dealt with quickly and very professionally. Says who buying a house is a nightmare!

Buying a house is never easy. Our journey in getting this house that we call it HOME, however, with Strata was exciting, adventurous and smooth. Me and my partner were looking for a perfect house and the Montreux at Strata Definition is the perfect house that ticks most of the boxes. Immediately, we placed a reservation for the plot (April 2018). Tara Osman have been a great customer service and very helpful in walking through this journey with me and my partner. From the early reservation stage to recently moved into the house in December 2018. We would like to thank Ryan Stancill for taking care of us after we have moved in. Ryan is brilliant and very dedicated in his role as the site manager. He will make sure that we are satisfied with the conditions of the house and will immediately see to it if any repairs arise. We would highly recommend Strata to everyone and thank you Tara and Ryan for your professionalism and great customer care. It's been a wonderful experience for both of us. Fab experience with the team at Definition, Derby

Fab experience with the team at Definition in Derby where we have just moved into our new home (Nov 18). Tara has always been brilliant with our customer service and eased our worries when we had a build delay. We wouldn't have known about the Rosas and where to find a show home to view this style of house if it wasn't for Tara taking the time to listen to what we loved about the other show homes and realising that something like the Rosas is what we were looking for, and now we have the beautiful house we were looking for! Ryan was fab after we got the keys to the house, snags are still being worked on and so far so good but one think I would highly comment him for is how much he has cared and ensured that our house cats are looked after with the building teams going in and out of the house while we are at work. Very grateful for this care and really appreciate Ryan and the team for working around them and making sure they stay safe :)

Strata Temptation Burton upon Trent

For two people who were definitely never going to buy a new build property, the Strata experience has been excellent from start to finish. We took a lot of time searching for the right home and eventually fell upon the Temptation development in Burton Upon Trent. We were well supported through all stages, including finding a property that would be suitable for us, in the right part of the development, through to support with the legal process. We were given access to the house we were buying as often as we wanted and Zoe in the sales office was incredibly helpful. Once we had completed the sale, we were given a good induction to the house by the Site Manager, Greg. Any snagging issues have been dealt with efficiently and professionally by Daz and his team and i can't fault the entire process. Overall, it has been a simple and pleasurable process to buy a property from Strata and we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone, including people like us who definitely don't want a new house.

Strata Definition, Derby

From our first visit until we move into our new home Strata have been absolutely amazing! Truly faultless. We started our house hunting back in July and took a look around the show homes Strata had, each one was breath taking. Well designed, spacious and exactly what me and my family was looking for. Tara (our Customer Experience Manager) was in a class of her own, she was amazing from start to finish so friendly and helpful she made the whole experience that little bit more special. As our plot had yet to be built we have the opportunity to design the inside of our home in great detail, everything from fitted wardrobes to cupboard handles, lighting, tiles, carpets the list goes on....we loved the level of personalisation Stara give you. Once we moved in the customer care continued, Ryan (Site Manager) was now our point of contact should we need anything, he's outstanding! Cannot do enough to ensure you settle after the move. All in all ive been blown away with Strata and their staff i cannot recommend them enough. The biggest thanks to Stata, Tara and Ryan for making our house a home. Strata has proved to be a top quality…

Strata has proved to be a top quality builder with focus on excellent customer service.This is our second experience of buying a new-build home. We thought the first time was great (not bought from Strata) but this time has exceeded all our expectations. From the first time we went into the sales office to look at the site and showhomes to today, I can honestly say we are over the moon. Charlotte in the sales office has been by our side every step of the way with help, support and guidance. Jessica also has been wonderful after stepping in just before, and on, moving in day while Charlotte was busy with a new site. Tom the site manager has been so helpful too and has dealt with any query we have had really quickly.The house itself is superb. We were asked to do a snagging list about 6 weeks after moving in - there was 2 items on the list - a very small piece of floor grout had come away and one part of the guttering was slightly leaking. That quite frankly for a new house is amazing. Strata also provide a service, which in my opinion is outstanding - they visit you about 6 weeks after moving in and touch up any paint that has been marked or scuffed whilst moving in. The decorator came and not only did he touch up the marks on the stair wall we told him about but went right round the house to make sure he could see no other areas which needed painting or filling. My Strata Story...

Where to begin....Firstly, do not buy a house by Strata near their year end (June). It was the most stressful time of our lives with threats from Strata that they would pull out of the deal, remove incentives and even offered to pay us to move in when the house wasn’t ready and said we could use another garage to store our possessions in! We were hounded whilst on our holiday with these threats from their legal team and I even turned a weeks work down so we could move in the week after they were insisting and we were told we couldn’t move in for another month!This is all because our solicitor didn’t have the necessary paperwork to proceed with the exchange so what could we have actually done?Even when arguing over an outside tap being fitted we were told the build was too far on. Then we were told it would cost us, then we were told we couldn’t have one fitted as it was on the back of the house but we could possibly run a pipe down the side of the house. I’m sure pipes freeze in cold conditions? We then saw an advert for the house and it had an outside tap included, so when this was pointed out one was fitted, FoC, Woohoo!There are snags, which we expected due to it being a new house, but getting them fixed is like pulling teeth. I think ‘Customer care’ only turn the phone on every couple of months as we’ve not had a reply yet!The sitting room in our Vienna home is freezing. It’s so cold we have to sit with blankets around us but nothing is being done to help. The modem was fitted in the front storage cupboard, so if we want to make a call on the house phone we have to stand in the cupboard. Great idea, eh!? Met with shrugged shoulders when complained about. There was even no power in the garage and the door isn’t attached firmly so how does it get signed off for us to move in to?There are many more issues but if you’ve got this far you get the idea. Apart from that it’s great!A Strata quote;“Strata is a modern family business with a fresh approach to home building. Stress free Strata and our gorgeous new home!

We’ve been in our house on the Definition development in Derby for a month now and we are completely in love with our new home which is a 4 bed detached Madeira. From the very start of the process (which wasn’t long - 7 weeks from first walking in the office to turning the key in the lock!) it’s been so easy, stress free and so exciting! We chose a house that was already built and after going to other companies where the customer service was awful it was a breath of fresh air to meet Tara who was so helpful and attentive from day 1! Since moving in Ryan has been great in getting niggles sorted quickly and both Ryan and Tara check to see things are ok regularly which gives us peace of mind! We would recommend Strata and Tara and Ryan to anybody thinking of that move to their dream home!

Amazing experience at Ambience site

We bought a 4 bed rosas at Ambience in Linton, we looked at almost every new development in the area and also another strata one but this was the one we fell in love with.Charlotte our customer service manager/sales is literally the nicest person you will ever meet! She couldnt do enough for us and as we had a 6 month wait till our house was built she kept in touch pretty much every week regularly sending us updates etc. We even hope to stay in touch with her on a personal level as we formed a great relationship. Also we used all the people strata reccomended such as taylor bracewell solicitors and the mortgage beuro. All of the people involved (Emily , Alistair, Josh, Stuart) we all amazing and so helpful.We took a real shine to our FA Alistair, we had a few problems with our mortgage and he was so patient and understanding. He would even ring us in the evenings at 8pm when we were feeling stressed and worried. Without him we probably wouldnt have even managed to get our house due to the complications.I know a lot of people who say solicitors can be a nightmare, nope not taylor bracewell! The experince was fast, informative and Emily really knows her stuff. The site builders are all fab. Site manager Tom is very helpful a real lovely guy. He even offered us advice at the weekend when my other half managed to put a hole in the wall (dont ask) !! Today Tom put our tvs on The walls free of charge which was a real help- we didnt even ask, he offered.In regards to aftercare We havent had any problems minor snagging which is to be expected its a new house.Hole in the wall sorted the next working day. The people here on this site just cant do enough to help and get it done. Overall, amazing experience. I would definetly buy a strata house again . Thankyou everyone for our amazing experience we LOVE our house!!

Recently moved into my 3 Bedroom Semi…

Recently moved into my 3 Bedroom Semi Detached Pareti house on the Definition development in Derby and the whole process has been perfect from start to finish! Tara was brilliant through the whole sale process, was willing to put up with all of the numerous ridiculous queries I had and provided me with the most up to date information she could! Even down to extra little pictures of the house! Really went above and beyond which has been very much appreciated! Then on moving into the house I have been dealing with site manager Ryan who has again been a pleasure to deal with, any little queries, questions or niggles I've had have been dealt with instantly and very professionally and I have been constantly reminded that he is only a quick call away!The overall quality of the house is superb and I would definitely recommend Strata to family and friends!
