I recently bought through C J Hole and found them to be a very professional estate agent who I would certainly turn to again. Joseph originally showed me around the property and was not at all pushy and allowed me and my partner to come back and visit multiple times until we were confident. Emma, who helped once we'd decided to buy, was very professional kept me periodically updated, demystified the process, and removed a lot of stress I was going through dealing with solicitors at the time. Highly recommended!

We have purchased 2 properties from CJ Hole Bishopston and have found the service to be very refreshing compared to the usual estate agent experience. The agent understood the type of property we were looking for and had local knowledge which was invaluable in helping us choose the right property. The Agent did not waste our time showing us properties unsuitable to our needs. When we submitted our offer we had confidence that this was relayed to the seller without prejudice. Once we had an offer accepted there was no strong arm tactics to persuade us to use their financial services (also refreshing). We were kept regularly up to date with the progress of the purchase and even provided with advice for letting the property even though we had our own letting agent. I look forward to working with this Estate Agency again, and that is not something you can say often when it comes to Estate Agents!! If our current letting agent retires (a close friend) we will not hesitate to transfer our properties to CJ Hole's letting department.

5 Star service from all the team. We had registered our interest in a particular property several months before hand and were contacted by the team to let us know that there was a property about to come on the market - to me this was real customer service: that they had not only taken note of exactly the type of property we were after, but had kept our details to let us know about it. They quickly arranged viewings for our house, and got us several offers very quickly. We were then assigned Emma - who looked after the selling / buying process. She was excellent - gave us regular updates, kept things on track and gave us advice on our options / next steps. On top of all this she dealt very well with our very difficult buyer. At one point our buyer actually pulled out of the purchase, and the whole team worked very quickly, securing us a new buyer over the weekend, to ensure that we didn't lose the property we were buying. A big thank you to all the team at CJ Hole Bishopston. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to others.

"Terrible from start to..."

We were very disappointed with the service we received from CJ Hole. After requests for maintenance in our house, emails were ignored, and phone calls left us with false hope. On one occasion (when maintenance work was finally carried out) we were blamed for causing damage to an inspection tile which the plumber they employed had removed. On another occasion we explained the shower door was not shutting properly and causing flooding in the bathroom every time we showered. CJ Hole advised us it was not an emergency and were later blamed for mould growing on the ceiling. On yet another occasion a tap broke, which was also not treated as an emergency. CJ Hole took several weeks to contact the landlord, who then wanted us to pay for the repair. After we contacted the council with our list of problems, they came to inspect the property and requested CJ Hole to complete the work. After we vacated the property at the end of our tenancy agreement CJ Hole made attempts to retain our deposit. They sent a list of 12 problems, but we provided them with evidence for why we were not responsible (including a receipt for cleaning the carpets). After we advised them that we were referring our case to the deposit protection service and the council, the list was reduced to 3 items. We also objected to a gardening fee of £65 (the garden was overgrown and in a bad state when we moved in) but we gave in because we could not wait any longer to get our money back. A very disappointing service.

I was really happy with the approach the whole team in the Bishopston branch dealt with the sale of my property. They are really friendly and very professional, I would certainly recommend and use this company again. Although CJ Hole's fees were more from the other quotes i receieved i still choose this company to handle my sale because i knew i was going to get a proffessional service after meeting all of team, you get what you pay for and i could not be happier with the service i received from the Bishopston team. A big thank you to you all. Oh and finally the feedback you get after the viewings take place is 10/10 which is i found pricesless.

Myself and two friends are coming to the end of the administration process for one of your properties and are very much looking forward to moving into the property next week and I have to say that two of your employees have very much made this process really great. Mica Forrest initially showed us around the property and she was very friendly, knowledgable and we found her to be very approachable in a way which we felt we could email her any questions we had (even our silly ones). Our application was then handed over to Isabella Caci Marla which again helped make this process easy for us to follow. This is our first experience in applying for a rental property and Izzy absolutely made it so easy for us to under stand and was also very friendly over the phone and quick to reply to our emails and questions. I found all the staff at CJ Hole Bishopston to be friendly, polite and helpful. In a somewhat frustrating purchase (due to legal reasons, nothing to do with the agent!), they were always responsive and efficient, dealing with the issues promptly and with real professionalism. From the moment I made the initial offer they acted with complete integrity. Special commendation should go to Joe for his steadfast patience, courtesy, tact and professional demeanour in dealing with the whole settlement process.
