Needed a place to rent, was having issues elsewhere as most estate agents were fobbing me off however had no problem at Shipways. Attique knew the kind of property I needed and within a couple of days I was able to view and put down my offer which thankfully was accepted. Very happy with the service.

Not trustable at all. They told me that they’re going to hand over the apartment ready and when I moved in I found nothing changed. In addition to the things that you can’t find about until you live and try things in the flat. I’m sure the land lord would’ve told the Letting agency about these issues but they continue to put accommodations on the market just to earn money, but at the end the tenant is the only person to get screwed up.

We had our valuation done by Winnie from Shipways. She represented the company that seemd the most trustable and professional. We did a market check and apparently they are the best. Now about Winnie, first of all she spent the most time when we first met, she asked all the questions to understand what we changed in our home, why we want to sell and so on. When we decided not to sell she didn't push it but instead offered to help with their mortgage advising services. We've had a couple more meeting and decided to work with Shipways from all the estate agents because the whole team in Harbourne branch are nice and professional!

Inconsistent with emails. I'd agreed to leave behind some white goods at a house I'd resided at for a small price, yet I never received this money. I then tried to contact the landlady directly who turned out to be as clueless as this company, let alone miserable and greedy. I never received an apology from shipways either despite it being them who were dealing with the arrangement of these white goods, an apology would've pardoned this review. Just lacking in any professionalism.

Called to arrange a viewing for a property, got it booked but the agent never turned up. After waiting outside for 30 minutes and being told the agent was running late, I had to call back to then be informed they had already let the property. Which I suspect is bullcrap. Not happy about making me & 3 month old child travel for no reason and with no courtesy call. Avoid these like the plague... As an aside, I highly recommend YourMove Dudley. Check out their reviews! Update: The property that I wanted 3 months ago is still up on the market. I suspect I was treated the way I was because my income (maternity pay) was being supplimented by benefits, the last lady I spoke to, who made up the excuse about it being let, was rude upon hearing this. I find it ironic the property is still up for let, no "working professional" would want to live in crime central if they could afford it with no suppliments. I've always worked and always will work, I have always been a very responsible tenant, up against an irresponsible industry. What a world we live in when you are treated like a second class citizen for having a low wage.

Terrible estate agents

Terrible estate agents, they will rip you off on the selling fees. The offered to sell my house at £200,000 then two weeks later said the market had crashed and needed to drop the house by 10%. The housing market must have really gone mental in the two weeks..... anyways. Many..... Many weeks later, I eventually sell for £175,000, however they still charged my the commission based on their initial estimate. To be clear........ the communication was awful and the amount of effort they put in to selling the house was terrible. Don't use these guys, use anyone else!

To whom it may concern. 27/10/2022 - 12:41 A few days ago, I contacted Shipways Estate. I received an immediate response from Leah Ladek regarding booking a viewing the next day. I found her to be the most pleasant person Shipways could send for the view. Her support and positive attitude were greatly appreciated. She has a real knack for dealing with people! Due to a transportation issue, my partner was unable to be on time; he was 15 minutes late, and despite her heavy schedule, she waited kindly and without complaining. It is remarkable how positive her attitude is! It was a pleasant surprise to find such an attentive agent. You must be a great asset to Shipways Estate. Decided to get an evaluation before re-fixing my mortgage term, advised to growth their on-site mortgage advisor to get the best deal. Told them it was leaving fixed terms the end of the month and was not warned of the 4-8 week delay by going with them and not my original lender. Got harassed by phone calls 4-6 times a day, mess ups with appointments and being put through to different sites. Just as useless as when I bought with them 2 years ago. Awful and properly informing and gloss over everything to make it seem like it'll all work out fine so you go along with them.

Ignored by letting agent Great Barr

The letting agent just ignored my call and emails. Put me on hold for the last 10 days. Took all my necessary documents and then stopped contacting me. The tenant is living in a hotel now. They advertised that they need tenet immediately. I don't know what is going on but shipways Great Barr letting agent is.....everyone understand now. Just tell me yes or no. Don't hang me in there. You are wasting my time and wasting my money. Putting me in trouble. Can't you give a straight answer?
