GoogleI have recently completed on the sale of my property. This proved to be a particularly lengthy process - through no fault of Scriven & Co. The team at Scriven and Katie Mason in particular provided a great service from start to finish and put up with my constant chasing!! I would highly recommend George and his team.

GoogleGeorge at Scrivens single handed managed to scare our buyers away by filling there heads with a load of nonsense he knew nothing about. Avoid this estate agents like the plague I have never Been so disappointed and let down by anyone ever until we Met George . We were having issues with the property we was buying, we were selling to first time buyers, Instead of just keeping our buyers happy George went straight in like a bulldozer telling them we had this and that wrong etc it was going to take months to sort out. Which was all totally not true. Hence our first time buyers pulled out. Lucky for us we took it off market with Scrivens And put it up for sale with purple bricks to our advantage we sold it straight away again for £10,000 More. Which now shows me they also market your property waytoo cheap to gain the sale!!! i have had to put one star as it wouldnt let me put NO stars These estate agents only care about money not cudtomer satisfaction!!!
Prior to marketing your property you confirmed that certain information would be made available to us. Despite numerous assurances the information was not forthcoming. As estate agents we have both a duty to our clients and also responsibilities to purchasers under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Purchasers were introduced who later required the said information, they also issued a deadline for completion and had stated that they would not be prepared to wait indefinitely. Throughout the process we tried our utmost to communicate between parties to facilitate the sale, however you did not provide the necessary information. With the deadline approaching your purchaser emailed us having been advised by their solicitor that the outstanding information had still not been provided, and they also advised that you were still awaiting a mortgage offer on your related purchase, and therefore completion the following week was looking unlikely. We then received an email from the purchaser’s solicitor advising their clients had withdrawn from their purchase due to concerns over the delay. We agreed to remarket your property on the understanding that the necessary information was provided and as a result you withdrew your property from the market. We agreed to waive our fee, even though the required information was not made available to us. To clarify, we commenced marketing your property for sale in July 2017, and at this time the asking price was higher than the “sold price” you recently achieved. Since July 2017 the housing market has seen sustained growth and consequently house prices have continued to improve.

Very well established company, personal &local service which you wouldn’t get from larger corporates. GoogleAbsolute diabolical company stay away they do not like people of colour, they try and come up with excuses as to why they cannot proceed with anything. The colour of my money is the same as everyone else's I offered the full asking price for a property and still got denied because of the colour of my skin. Please people keep away as they waste your time and don't want your money anyway !!!! Wow the reply is all lies again, we told you we didn't have to complete the sale as we already had funds available from another property we were ready and then ebony or gina said to us they would only sell to 1st time buyers. You are all full of it and I would never use your Agency nor would I ever recommend you to anyone. Again people stay the hell away absolute joke of a company

GoogleI work with a lot of estate agents owning a property company but I have never experienced the treatment that I have received from scriven before, they advertised for one price, then charge me an extra 70 per month for buissness rates,(I have email proof from felicity friend about this even tho she is refusing to reply when i ask her) I then found out months later the property is exempt (which scriven now also confirm), yet they refuse to lower the price back to the advertised price or give me the money back ive alreay paid (blatant tax fraud), I am unable to get a phone line or Internet installed at the office as the office has no registered address (prob another tax fiddle) and the Internet company's cannot install a line due to the location, so I'm now stuck in a 3 year lease for a office I cannot use, they refuse to end the lease ,basically saying tuff, deal with it, they are the worse estate agents ever, liers and con people
Dear Mark, in response to your review we confirm as follows. The premises you rent is situated on a site where there are approximately 40 residential units, all of which can/are able to have internet. We understand that the reason you were initially not able to have an internet line installed, was because Royal Mail did not recognise the address that the local authority had assigned to the building in question. Once we were made aware of this, we arranged with your landlord and the local authority so that Royal Mail would assign you a new address, enabling you to have an internet service. This was organised and you were notified. If in the event excavation is required so that a new internet line can be installed, we remain happy to further explore this with your landlord. However, we understand that a line should be able to be installed, running from the pavement, to the building in question, submerged into the raised lawn [eradicating the need for excavation into the tarmac]. In regard to rates, you are not charged additional rent in relation to rates, and there are no rates charged in relation to the building. However, from the outset, our client and your landlord decided that if rates were applicable, these would be included (at a cost to them). Your lease reflects this, and to be clear, you are NOT charged any additional rent in relation to rates. Finally, and in regard to the rent value. When you initially enquired about the property, we presented lease terms to you. You did not respond immediately, but after a short time had passed, you contacted our offices and informed us that you would be happy to accept the original terms. Naturally we are surprised to receive your review, as we feel that we have tried to support you, which we have demonstrated through continuous communication with you [since your tenancy commenced], in order to try and help resolve matters, with our latest correspondence being sent to you on the 8th November. This correspondence suggesting that we would be happy to speak with your landlord regarding the possibility of assigning/surrendering your lease. We did not receive any response from you until your email reply of the 7th December, which was followed by your review above. Despite your review, we remain committed to resolving the situation for you, whether this be assisting in organising an internet facility, or communicating with your landlord to explore the possibility of a potential assignment, or surrender. To help you consider the latter further, we will gather some potential costs and will email you with further information. In regard to the internet line, we are still waiting to receive from you further information relating to installation implications. Please can you provide this as soon as possible, should you require our assistance in respect of this. He arranged to come to my house at a time that was convenient for me. He had done his pre-valuation checks and was very well prepared. Throughout the discussion he was very honest, professional and took time to explain everything backed by evidence.
