A fantastic experience from beginning to end! Rice Chamberlains guided us through our sale and purchase and just made the whole thing so much less stressful than it might have been. The lovely team members at Rice Chamberlains were always friendly, reassuring and very professional, giving good advice all the way through. Every single member of the team - at both the Moseley and Bournville offices - was always quick and responsive with our many queries. Our moving process was fairly protracted (through no fault of Rice Chamberlains), but the guidance we received helped us stay calm and stay on track. We were initially hesitant to put our house on the market, because we knew it would take a long time to find a suitable new home. Rice Chamberlains prepared all our sales details, took photos and created the 3D tour even before we'd decided to put the house on the market, so we could act quickly when we were ready. The final stages of the move were a bit frustrating and stressful, due to some difficulties between solicitors elsewhere in our chain. But the Rice Chamberlains team were brilliant at chasing things up and keeping it all moving. It was also an emotional move for us, leaving behind a house and a street that we loved, so it was great to have such kind and empathic people to support us. Estate agent fees can seem like a lot of money, but Rice Chamberlains more than earned their fee, they worked so hard for us. It was money really well spent. All in all, I simply can't recommend them highly enough - I wish I could give them six stars! Thank you!

I would not hesitate what so ever in recommending Rice Chamberlains to anyone. Ashley and Sarah have both been nothing but helpful to me. They have both helped me in selling my property, it was a long and hard road but especially with the help from Ashley we got there in the end. I would always get constant updates from Ashley and his team, they have been chasing every day for me. I can't thank them enough, but thank you very much for all your hard efforts in getting this sale closed.

My initial experience with Rice Chamberlains was very good and sorting out a place to live was very simple even though i was living in Spain at the time. Unfortunately since moving in (i rent) the level of service has been poor. I reported a faulty window that could not be closed in February 2016, it is finally going to be fixed in January 2017. During this time I had 5 different appointments of which 1 was unexpected, 1 never turned up and 2 nothing happened after them. That was several days holiday wasted waiting in due to the agents telling me they did not have a set of keys for a property they manage. I have also had higher heating bills due to having to heat the house constantly. They recently arranged for a new floor to be fitted in the bathroom. They turned up a few hours late, left rubbish in the house and the carpet they removed was just left in the front garden without any explanation of what was going to be done with it despite me having an email exchange just hours before explaining i would not be as annoyed if they communicated better. I would say if you are buying a house or renting a non managed place to live then you should be ok. I would suggest looking elsewhere if the place is managed by them or if i was a landlord looking to have my place managed. I am not sure what landlords pay for this service, but free would be too expensive in my opinion. Despite this, i would like to say there is a glimmer of hope for them with staff like Melissa who has been very helpful.

I worked with Ashley and Sarah as a buyer, looking for a property in Moseley. I had numerous complications with other purchases and the sale of my city centre flat and so I dealt with them over a period of many months. Both Ashely and Sarah are very proactive, always took time to get a thorough understanding of my needs and were consistent in providing an excellent service, even though I was the purchaser as opposed to the vendor. They act with honesty and integrity as well as having a in depth knowledge of the local market and a great reputation and network in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends, and have already. When I sell this property (which I hope is a long way off!) I would only use Rice Chamberlains to market it.

from the very first call to the Bournville office to collecting the keys upon completion yesterday Mr Steve Watson, James and the rest of the staff could not have been more professional, flexible, and helpful throughout our purchase. We required several escorted visits for tradesmen to make assessments, kitchen designs, quotations and with us to consider what alterations we needed prior to moving in.
