I chose Rice Chamberlains to sell for me, and I was extremely pleased that I did. Right from the first visit from the Rice Chamberlain’s agent (James Llewellyn), to discuss my options, I felt they were very professional. Everything was done in an efficient way, and they kept me up to date with what was happening. The house I was selling was my father’s house, after he died. I didn’t actually want to sell the house, but circumstances did not permit me to keep it, so it was a very traumatic and stressful time for me. I explained this to James from the outset, and it was very clear that he understood what I was going through. I felt supported throughout the selling process, and never pushed to do anything before I was ready to do it. Whenever I phoned Rice Chamberlains, the person I spoke to knew the situation with the sale, and could update me, but if I wanted to speak to a particular person, a message was left for that person to phone me back, which they always did. It was clear they were not just about selling houses, but also about care for the people involved. If I had another house to sell, I would definitely go to Rice Chamberlains without any hesitation.

Sarah and the team at Rice Chamberlain in Kings Norton were excellent from start to finish. Sarah was very friendly and professional, she provided a very fair and realistic valuation of our house, and gave us great pointers on how to make it ready for sale. There was no contract, deposit or obligation, which really put our mind at ease. Sarah took lovely photos that really showed the best of our house, and put it on the market within 48 hours. We very quickly had a block viewing arranged around our schedule, and were lucky to secure a sale from the first viewing. Throughout the rest of the process - the surveys, solicitors, and arranging exchange and completion, Sarah and team were always on hand to answer queries, chase up tasks, and mediate communication with our buyer. The whole process was as smooth and stress-free as moving house can be, and at a very competitive rate. We can't recommend Sarah and the team at Rice Chamberlain Kings Norton highly enough, thank you all so much!

Moving house after 18 years in the home our children grew up in felt like a huge step for us but the team at Rice Chamberlain in Bournville were brilliant from the outset. Our initial visit from James was very reassuring and he took great photos to showcase our home at its best. Both Aimee and Matt managed the viewings really well with great communication to keep us informed. There were disappointments along the way but the team were calm and reassuring, managing offers with great experience. We can’t thank them enough for helping us with our house move and we would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of selling or buying in the area.

We first started our house selling/buying process with Rice Chamberlains back in April 2024, when we saw a wonderful house that they were selling. We made a full and final offer that was accepted by the seller. We then put our house on the market with them. During this initial process, all of the members of Rice Chamberlains (James, Matt, Aimee and Karen) were fully supportive and helpful. Fast forward almost a year and we were on our 3rd buyer and our second property to buy and heading speedily towards the April Stamp Duty rise. Needless to say that there had been many hurdles we had to overcome and many upsets and disappointments. Throughout this period, we knew we could rely on honest and expert advice on what steps to take (and NOT take). In particular, James and Matt were very open about our situation at various points and answered our questions. I'm sure that there must have been times (like us) when Rice Chamberlain felt like jumping ship - but they didn't. Particular mention for Matt, during the last couple of weeks of the process, where there were some crazy events happening from different directions in the chain. He stuck with it and went above and beyond. I'm pretty sure that, if he hadn't, then the whole chain may well have collapsed. So, thanks again, Rice Chamberlain team. We totally recommend your professionalism and your levels of service. The best on the block.

Bournville team, you are incredible! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a very long journey selling our home, over a period of months/years in total. So many ups and downs, but the team could not have done more to keep us up to date and informed. Right from the start when James first viewed our property we knew we would go with Rice. They were always at the end of the phone and we always felt comfortable popping in to have a chat, always approachable. When we contacted other estate agencies when viewing etc we quickly realised how professional and efficient our team was in comparison. Amiee helped us find our dream home, after many many viewings on different properties! Moving house has to be one of the most stressful things that you go through in life so when you instruct an estate agent you hope that everything is going to go as smoothly as possible. Fortunately for us we decided to use Rice Chamberlain to help us sell our house and they were excellent. At every stage of the sale James was open, honest and did what he said he was going to do quickly and efficiently. Communication was excellent, not only with us but also with solicitors and the other estate agents in the chain. Sarah and the team helped us sell our last rental property. There were unexpected delays due to the buyer which were out of the agents hands, they kept communicating with us throughout and worked with the buyer to make sure the sale completed as quickly as possible. I had recently rented a property from Rice Chamberlain, and would like to share my experience as they deserve all the praises. This is the first property i've rented in the UK and as such the whole process was unfamiliar and stressful to me. Wanted to share my experience thus far of renting a property from Rice Chamberlain in terms of maintenance as often overlooked once a property is rented/bought. The team are fantastic, always quick to respond and importantly, communicative throughout. A special mention to Maisy Smith and her team as our boiler cut out leaving us without hot water and a 2 year old to look after. Maisy quickly engaged the landlord and had it repaired within 24 hours, at all times keeping us up to date with the maintenance team. I would not know where to begin with how fab Rice Chamberlain were in both the sale and purchase of our new house. We met James long before we actually put our house on the market and we were immediately sure we wanted them to be our agents. He has great local knowledge and is always clear and honest in his communications. The service, brochures, viewings etc. were excellent.
