BE WARNED! I’ve been hacked or Instacrap is not letting me close my account! Has anyone else had this problem?! Extremely frustrating and worrying! Owned and run by money, not for people. Just another distraction! Keeping the human population dumbed down! Haven’t used it for years and set up an account to support for good uses so how can I be following people all of a sudden?! No help or support from instacrap to help close my account so leaving this review.

Instagram has perennially disabled ad accounts for businesses over the most arbitrary of reasons. I can’t tell you the amount of times my ad account has been temporarily disabled due to “suspicious payment activity”, when in all honesty, nothing is actually suspicious and I pay for everything using my own credit cards. This has happened to me once every few months, and although the issue automatically fixes itself in the next few days, Instagram is disgusting for allowing AI to dominate their platform, suspending people’s accounts and disabling people’s accounts not for policy violations, but alleged “payments issues”. These companies claim that they’re protecting consumers’ best interests, but in reality, all they’re doing really is driving businesses away and discouraging small businesses from thriving. You’re allowing REAL fraud to happen, but in the same vein discriminating against people who’re actually using their OWN credit cards to pay for their own bills. There needs to be a better technical system in place to mark real fraud as fraud, and not disabling innocent people’s ads accounts over “pAyMenTs IssUes”. Gross, negligent and unacceptable. Whenever I attempt to pay my ads bills using a new credit card, the same problem occurs where I’m all of a sudden “disabled”. When I click on the button that says “verify your account to start running ads again”, it shows me nothing - and you’re guided to the appeals and reviews process which takes ages for a human being to respond. Compared to its’ rival TikTok, TikTok actually responds to its consumers and users in a matter of days in a clear, concise manner, unlike Instagram, where its’ customer service bots/humans are cocky and arrogant and show a complete unwillingness to help.

GOOD:You can post great pictures Stay in contact with friends and family Meet new peopleMake Status in your story Organize your messages (public account only)BAD:Customer Support- They give no fuxk about you or your issue. Your not famous you don't mean shixt to their bot.Terms - Change when they want to update and change them, No warning on new rules and terms and they will remove your brand label if you followers fall short to them. You can be building a new business and If you do not have at least 400 followers or more your brand label will be remove and you just promoting yourself. Marketing: I pick a photo I wanted to promote instagram decided it wasn't worth being promoted even when I paid my funds to do so it stayed in pending for 3 months on both photos than on one photo they sent me a message saying my photo does not meet their requirements when it was about hungry children.Verification 6 to 8 digit code: I used an app for authentication verification Instagram deactivated my verification where it was no longer able to be sent to DUO I switch phones and my 3yr account I had I temporarily disable for a break. When returning instagram email stating upon log in you got a message saying we disable your account for going against our Terms, That was no further from the truth. I receive an email saying we made it easy to get back in your account just click the link. I said okay sure. Once I click the link it went back to asking for a code. I contacted instagram with no answer. There phone service is a joke! Filters / Word Filter Pictures Filters work when they want too instagram put so much time in a fancy platform yet ignore the fact users are telling them that the platform is starting to make no sense buttons are being hidden or move around you have to try to fit a full picture on instagram with a 3rd party app. The system will warn you about saying "Ass, Men, Ugly, Dumb, Nasty, Fat, But you look around words are all on instagram in Usernames saying Dick, Pussy, Ass, N.word. pedophile behavior, Oh and if you report it they will tell you that it meets there Terms lolPosting pictures -If your plus-sized and take pictures neck up with the top of your chest showing no titis or nipples, Instagram will remove it calling it nudity, Sit with shorts on and your leg folded to instagram that's an ass and it's consider nudity. They dont have a reliable bot or security service that actually recognized nudity. Oh but browse the instagram with keywords BigAss, Titis, Big Girls, DickPrint and etc. You will find so many pages showing the whole nudity scene ass cheeks open and all but I guess to instagram thats a mouth. Bullying is allow on instagram by InstagramHere a review for Instatorted you guys are a piece of shxit! Billions of dollars on pointless ass updates that still have instagram screw up yet your customer service sucks ass and rude as fuk! I really do like Instagram.Posting is fun, interacting with others is entertaining, and it's a great way to keep in touch with loved ones during a pandemic.H O W E V E R.The customer service is ABHORRENT.They can and likely will disable your account for "sharing your information with a business" for followers, whether you did it or not. Once this happens for the first time, you might as well make a new account because it's just gonna keep happening. There is no reliable way to get in contact with people to help, either. Speaking of help...Their report system is trash too. Known child predators keep their accounts while others are shadowbanned for spreading content revolving around pride.Your comments can and will be hidden for including the words "men", "racist", or "stupid", but if someone says "all women are inherently whores" it's fine. Instagram is... a headache.It has been a headache since they took away the chronological order of posts in your feed.

Update: I set up a new account after my previous account was deleted (without warning or explanation). I had just reached 57 posts and gained 157 followers when Instagram shut me down again "We detected suspicious behaviour on your account". The last thing I did was to try find all my hashtags again that I had previously followed and liking / bookmarking things I previously had. There is nothing wrong about that, it is not against the guidelines I have done no harm. It is by now very obvious to me that the company simply wants to keep people down that show too much activity and could therefore be successfull without paying for promotions. The only way to do that for Instagram is to shut you down if you like too many things or interact too much. I am not going to invest my time and effort a third time. Update: after my business account was disabled I created a new one to rebuild my business. Naturally I reached out to my old clients to tell them about the new account. I now received a message from Instagram that my behaviour is detected as unusual and they might disable the new account within 30 days. So it is being made impossible to recover from a mistake that their bot made to start with and restart my business. This is becoming more and more absurd.---------------------------------------I have/had (not sure at the moment what the situation is since customer service won't respond) a business account with Instagram. Yesterday I was disabled without any warning or reason given. This means Instagram basically closed my shop and cut me off my clients. Older clients reached out to me via WhatsApp saying they cannot find me anymore, others called angry saying I unfollowed them (because whatever Instagram did is shown as such in their analytics). I had ongoing transactions that were being discussed via messaging that I no longer have access to. I have tried various channels to contact Instagram and at least understand what is going on but got no response. This is basically the equivalent to your web host just disabling your online marketplace without any comment or help. Imagine one day you went online and Amazon is gone: no website, no way to contact, you don't know what happened to your orders,... That is basically what is happening with my business right now. Instagram shut down my business and I am not sure why and if or when I will be able to open again or get my (potential) clients contacts and transaction details back. I do not recommend using Instagram to build your business - especially if you are a small business owner. I may not actually have a choice now but I will focus my efforts on my website going forward. Since both Instagram and Facebook are the same company I do not trust either anymore to not ruin my business and therefore my lifelihood.

Instagram is pathetic no customer service available they closed my acc about 3 yrs ago with no warning and no good reason except I breached their t&cs which I don't see how as all I posted was pics of my lovely kids for my family to see who BTW were my only followers and I have now lost my photos and have been searching and trying for yrs to get back as these were not backed on the cloud. Needless to say I have given up on social media competly have lost some precious memories and absolute gorgeous pics of my babies think I will just go back to good old fashioned printed photos rather than digital

Dear all, Just that you know recently a person under l.eda2h Arabic person has done an algorithm on Instagram which allows him to report gay accounts to Instagram. My boyfriend and I got banned from Instagram after this Muslim individual has reported our profile using multiple accounts. He said he hacked them in and did severe violation of terms and conditions by posting and commenting abusive. My conclusion is that Instagram should have reviewed the reports and not take down our accounts!Instagram is HOMOPHOBIC and bans accounts with two people hugging I guess while there are millions of accounts with gays showing their bulge hard or soft naked or not naked decent or not decent. This is my review on Instagram and after more than 24 hours no warning from them no nothing except You have violated our terms and conditions! In the meanwhile this doesn't comply with the European Safety Data protection rules and therefore I'll do everything in my power in order to defend my rights! I hope this helps other people out there knowing that Instagram bans a few or million homophobic accounts... who knows ... Thank you, Anonymous report

I'm upset that I even have to give them a star. Never in my 8 years on IG, have I been able to reach out to any type of support or whatsoever. Even though I don't have a Facebook account, I have now twice tried to be unable to log on my IG account, and after EXTREME research, been able to send FACEBOOK an e-mail, because IG couldn't manage my account - which is very "basic", no important followers or different content.Once I had to provide FACEBOOK with a copy of my PASSPORT, with no explanation why, and another time, a selfie proving that I am in fact, me, with a piece of paper with information - they would open my account again, with no information AT ALL.There had been no attempt from others to access my account.I have then afterwards been told my account is not manageable, unless I of course update my (already given) information, and accept cookies etc. which is for marketing. Nothing has changed on my profile. And last time I said no, they then told me that I was banned until I posted pictures of my personal information.Let it be noted, that the e-mail address I then had a correspondence with, is no longer in use.You also can't find OR WRITE Google reviews etc., regarding Instagram. They guide you through the process of making a bad review of other company, but you're not able to review their own lackluster company.They have removed views etc. from my profile, even though I'm a BIG nobody.I've never had a warning, a notice, nothing. They just ban me as they please, and ask for my most private information.Biggest platform in the world, and they deliberately choose NOT to prioritize customer service or help.They have EVERY option to do so, and even excel in it, and still chooses to not. Because if we as users get tired and lost in translation, chances are, that we'll drop it. HOW can the biggest platform have 57% HORRIBLE reviews on this site ALONE, and NO ONE gives a damn?!This is not the first time I'm leaving a review and EVERY TIME it has magically disappeared..! I'm typing the following (and taking screenshots!) - because it has happened before, that my reviews were removed. I'm notifying Instagram about my review, and then time will tell. You also can't access the "help" browser on laptop without agreeing to all cookies etc., and it still doesn't provide help. We need to be able to change this!?!?!? How is this STILL an issue?! Biggest and richest social media platform IN THE WORLD, with THE MOST users, and we can't even ask for help?! And get blocked for no reason, and being told to send PRIVATE information?? I got a warning that I was liking too many posts which is very strange because the whole reason of this platform is to like. I ended up deleting my app because I am so paranoid of getting blocked. To the point that my stress and anxiety levels go to the roof. I waited over 4 hours. I re-downloaded Instagram and I liked only ONE post and they blocked me for a whole week. There is no way of speaking to a human so they could check it out on their own. Everything is being controlled by cheap bots that don’t know anything. It is HORRIBLE. I need to speak to a customer representative but instead I am left with a help button that doesn’t do anything at all. I hope there is another platform that doesn’t act like this. A social media platform where you cannot be too social and you cannot like posts? What is that?!

Instagram is a nice app where you can post a picture of your self and watch your friends story’s. It has good quality like when you are watching videos or photos. It’s really nice because you can chat with friends and sometimes it has new updates. One bad thing about Instagram is that sometimes it freeze.

My account was recently deactivated. Then I have been asked to send in either a picture or video of myself, handwriting, or some personal information. This is unacceptable as they can't just collect our data like this!I think it's an invasion of privacy. It's disgusting that Instagram is collecting data without our consent and then misusing its position in the social media world.Be careful sending information on Instagram!

I had an account, with a password. Suddenly Instagram doesn't recognise the password and if I try to reset it says that there is no user with my email address but if I try to open a new account with my email address it says that my email address is already in use. There is no help on their help page for this situation and no way of contacting them.So I can't have an instagram account! Too bad!

Instagram is horrible! I got locked out of my account, after I switched phones and logged out of my old phone and Into my new one..... but while I was attempting to log into the app from my new phone, my password wouldn’t work! Even though it was the correct password.... so I ended up creating a new password. And then when I did that, it gave me an error message! But then I got an email confirmation, stating the change of my password was successful! So then I logged into my account again using the new password I had just created and it gave me another error.... this was a repeating cycle for about a couple hours! Eventually I gave up and ended up creating an entirely new account! But then eventually I was able to get ahold of Instagram support and I was able to get into my original account ! But then with the intention of deleting the new account I just made, I logged out of my original account; to try to delete the new account I just created, but then when I tried logging back into my original account; it locked again!! So it’s just an on going cycle of trying to get back into my original Instagram account, I’ve sent support like 10 different emails in the last 5 days and they haven’t replied! I don’t have access to the original phone number the account is under, because from the time the account was open until now, I’ve gotten a new number! But the authentication code to get into the account, is being sent via text to the old number, not my current number.! I keep asking support to email the code via email and they don’t reply! I had a fairly large following on my original account and now I have this new account and I feel like a loser! I had verified public figures who followed me on my original account, and now I can’t even log into it, because Instagram support won’t get back to the many messages I have sent them, to recover the account They are so unprofessional. Also when I try to log in with Facebook, I still need an authentication code
