Communication with the support team is a problem with this platform

I think Instagram is a good social media platform, but the big problem is communicating with the customer service or support team, There is a lot of mystery If an action is taken against an account, the account holder cannot know the reason clearly, nor can he appeal.They provide a checkbox "if there is an error tell us." But it is only formal, no one got a response from them (I asked more than 50,000 on YouTube and all the answers were negative)Contacting them is impossible and difficult, and if that happens, you wait for a response for a very long time.Some problems can't wait long. This affects a lot of accounts.I think that communication with the support team should improve and that it should be transparent and clear about any action taken by the Instagram platform against the user, what is the benefit of not revealing the reason, Does this mean that Instagram is completely confident in its decisions? Why then is there a button "If you think this is a mistake, tell us" ...

Meta are clowns

Yeah, definitely avoid this platform. Their moderation is all AI, and the algorithm they're using goes way way way overboard. I commented "omg so good" on a my girlfriends post, comment was removed for being spam. After that, my account started getting disabled every second or third day for account authenticity and integrity - which is laughable, given my profile photo was my face and there were multiple posts that showed my face. I ending up having to appeal their decision every few days which involved taking a photo of my face and sending it to them. Most recently, account was disabled for "promoting dangerous organizations" - given that I only ever posted about work, seems a bit farfetched.Trying to contact anyone to actually speak to a real person at meta is a nigh impossible task without actually paying for meta verified, something that I'm certainly not going to be doing for this POS app.

Instagram allows gore of children and genitals

Instagram allows for footage of children and people being blown up by bombs. It allows footage of people mutilating their own genitalia, for example, cutting open their ballsack and taking out each individual ball. Instagram also allows for scam bots and regular scammers. When I report any of these things my reports get updated saying these things don't violate their guidelines. It also opens your camera any time you exit the app. This is not at all what I expected.Edit: animal abuse is also allowed apparently. They told me this doesn't violate their guidelines and declined my report

They are slowly updating it into the ground. I think its run by tech students who are more concerned with appearing like they are doing a 'good' job, than actually ensuring the app works properly and intuitively.

I used to have a Instagram account but I worried about hacking and privacy concerns so I deleted it, I don't use social media anyway so I don't miss the account, I never liked the contents on Instagram and having read all the negative reviews I see I am not alone, it's a waste of time and doesn't take your privacy seriously, I deleted the account so I hope they have erased all my data from there, I don't know for sure, it says they do but it might not be true, I worry about my data getting hacked, and there are scammers on the site also, I won't be going back there.

At 58 years old you would think I would know better but I had been bombarded with an ad on Instagram for weeks about easy to assemble metal shelving. Every day all that I kept seeing was this ad for the shelving so I submitted an order for the shelving. ALL OF THE WORDING ON THE VIDEO WAS A LIE. I am out $50.00 and the shelving never arrived.The company was GXFmall1216, based in China. I did not know this because the ad stated shipped within the U.S. It even used QVC’s branding. A fake email address Aftersales@sservice was sending replies to my anger and lack of delivery. Those replies dropped with the last reply being: The logistics shown that the merchandise have arrived at your shipping address. please check it out.The “logistics” company they speak of is 17Tracknet, another China run company who is a front for scammers. In the past newspapers would vet ads to make sure their customers were not taken advantage. Instagram has blood on its hands for not vetting anything while reaping and raping others for its own wealth. You cannot say Buyer Beware. All reputable companies should stop producing content for Instagram cause their brand will be spoofed next. Someone needs to stop Instagram.

Don't buy anything from the adds on Instagram.Even if the store looks legit, more often than not its a front for cheep Chinese knock off. If you like the store on Instagram, find it online and make sure its the real deal. I bought three things from different adds. Each one looked like a different British store and each one was shipped from China. The product was not as advertised and the store refused to refund me! Stay away!

Never takes down bullying comments or accounts

I never intended on reviewing instagram online but here we are - getting really sick of reporting actual trolls and harassment on instagram, only for instagram to never do a thing about it. I have been doing this for years and not ONCE have any of the comments been taken down, or accounts removed. I now give up. And these are pretty vile comments, some consisting of ‘go back to China’ and others literally threatening to r*pe women - apparently this isn’t bullying according to Instagram! They need to sort it out asap, whether its bots or real humans reviewing these cases, it’s completely unacceptable.

Elite Cricket Store ScammersI ordered a pair of shoes from "Elite Cricket Store." They required a 1500 PKR advance payment, with the remaining amount to be paid upon delivery. I paid the advance, and they assured me the shoes would arrive within three days. But three days passed, and there was no delivery. When I reached out to them on Instagram (@elitecricketstore), they didn't respond, they blocked me instead!After some research, I found that they’re known scammers. The "positive" reviews on their page are fake, and even the location on Google Maps leads to a J. shop, not to any "Elite Cricket Store." Please report this page and stay away from these scammers! Don’t fall for their tricks.

Where do I start

Where do I start. I have no intrest in social media however it's an unfortunate part of life. For the most part I haven't had any issues with IG but lately I guess because I don't usually post often, it says I'm not found. I bit the bullet and spent a lot of time to get computer to recognize me. I finally was able to get back into my account. Now again, it says I don't exist. (but I guarantee this review will exist).. I thought you know I spent all this time accordingly dealing with Instagram and now you don't find me. Again. Oh, but wait, you do have an account for me. It's marked as under 18 or kid or something. There's a bunch of childish stuff on it. I can't get rid of it even though it's got my name and email and phone attached to it. In order to get rid of it, I have to sign in with the password. I didn't create the account If I say I lost the password then it doesn't allow me to.Use my phone number online email address very odd.Instagram created on.The only thing I could think of to get their attention is to post (Oh, yeah I can post on it isn't that bizarre)? Thinking of posting some of my images of models that are scantily clad, especially because I own those images. It's my work. I figured maybe that will get the attention of someone there? Because there's no other way for me to reach them. Trust me, I've tried.

I recently lost my phone with my 2fa and fotos and the first thing they ask for is recovery code if i dont have access to my 2fa and the only way they give you the recovery codes is that you have to screenshot it and since i dont have my old phone fron like 2019 when i set it up i have no way of getting my account back i tried emailing instagram support and got no responce. (and the whole app is just ads)

Instagram is the worst... 3 days back they locked my account for nothing and it is asking for some video selfie verification.. which is weird and it is not even working.. whenever I submit the verification it shows error... and I am unable to access my account... and there is no support system or mode of contact where I can get help... Instagram only cares about the accounts from which they are getting revenue..

Seriously needs proper formatting

Website designer really needs to sort out the formatting to be more strict and rigid - doesn't make sense to have the 'main[web]page' function as if it were the 'explore[web]page', those are different for a reason so stick to purpose of why those were made to begin with. I don't care if the mainpage barely has posts on it, because if i wanted to browse different profiles etc i'd used the explore page.It's very easy to achieve. Also, i'm 100% uninterested in seeing profile 'suggestions' on the mainpage - if i'm to be creating and plastering my own art on my own profile, i certainly don't want to be suggested something based i want i do - that's just stupid and makes a mockery of the entire instagram website. The person that had that website design idea was an idiot. Chronological order rules.

Promote Scam companies.Obviously the owners of the platform ((META) are colluding with fake Chinese drop companies. One of these are “Saltdays”, (see their business model on Trustpilot) They use Uk email addresses and UK models and influencers to sell Chinese rubbish which either takes weeks to arrive or doesn’t arrive at all. Beware of buying anything off Instagram and use your due diligence by checking here in Trustpilot before parting with any money. Always use PayPal or a credit card which will refund you in the event you’ve been scammed.

I got hacked, security Instagram is terrible

Hello, my Instagram account has been hacked and I can not find a way to contact Meta. The hackers also hacked my Outlook account and managed to change the mail address linked to my Instagram. They then deleted all the mails which meant I could not undo changing my Instagram mail address. I have followed all the steps through the Instagram Support website but nothing works yet. Please I’m writing this review. To tell each one of user that instagram is now the worsted versions of itself so should stop using for some good reason cus no matter how healthy investment you’ve got. Someone’s gonna seat down take all. I’ve been a good user since. But unfortunately Instagram banned my account. Reason you just waken up damn your artist profile is gone. But imagine how heavily you’ve come now year, you’ve never go against it’s rule and terms but why, so heartless my three year investigation gone. Imagine you’ve got a million followers and you woken up, to see your account gone. This is the best time to think, pls go for something else. Instagram is now inherently prejudiced

Instagram is inherently classist and prejudiced now that you can only use it on a smartphone. Many people can't afford fancy technology and rely on public computers. The poor, the disenfranchised, the rural and inner city people are being deprived and systematically snuffed out of options on social media given only to the privileged. Thank you instagram for perpetuating the cycle of systemic injustice for the less advantaged and widening the gap between economic classes.
