hanging on to my deposit money after landlord happy

I have rented a property for the first time of life at age of 52 for my kids i paid these guys 1 years worth of rent and a deposit in advance we have been perfect tenants and Jay shergill is delaying my deposit which i paid them and emailing me a false check list when the owner of the property is happy with the state we left it in. it does not pay to be a perfect tenant as you get messed about even when you pay all the money to them last time i would use martin and co

Renters be aware

Prop was viewed with other people, they call it a block viewing. Prop was in a disgusting state, dirt, rubbish and smell, was off putting. We relocated and required a 2 bed apart and saw beyond the mess and felt it would be a great apartment. Prop required a thorough clean and once we were advised prop was cleaned, i asked if we could view again, prior to taking up occupancy. Martin & Co, would not accomodate our request. Once we moved in we took various photographs of damage etc, to our surprise Martin & Co inventory photographs do not show the current damage, wear and tear as our photographs do. Martin & Co appear to be selective in what they want their inventory to look like and not the real look. Their marketing photographs showed the property in perfect condition as though it was refurbished, so of course, when we viewed, we really were shocked, I felt embarrased for their colleague showing us around. Do not trust staff, particularly, Isabella AND Simran, but have a careless attitude and do not return calls or turn up for signing up meetings. Upon moving in the fridge was not in working order, the extraction fan in Bathroom doesnt work, the plug missing from bath, marks in the bath, plastic edge missing off shower screen, walls not painted properly, the decorator appears to have made cutting in brush marks at edge of wall and forgot to actually paint the wall itself, plus ( I mean) various other issues. We had to purchase a fridge, at our expense, having moved in on 2 June, ironically, the fridge was replaced today (14th June ), but we are now £120 out of pocket, money we had to spend in order to have a working fridge, in this hot weather. We have taken photographs when moving in and have submitted these to Martin & Co, I will keep the photographs on my phone until we hand the keys back.
