GoogleWe signed contracts for Maguire Jackson to sell our flat. The whole process took 3 months. When we pushed them to get it up they dragged their feet. The sales manager called Stephen was getting really confused about shared ownership. In the end they said ‘they might not be the right agent for us’ The one star is for how long it took and how drawn out it was and feeling like we lost 3 months due to thier lack of commitment.

GoogleI rented Flat 14, Newhall Court, B31DR. I arranged for the state agent to manage my property. The contract outlined property checks to ensure the tenants maintained my property and no damage occured. After one year, tenants requested to stay at the property on a monthly basis contract but i requested a month notice. Mackguire Jackson failed to make me aware when tenants left. When I enquired what happened. I realised that I was made aware 6 days before tenants left by email. When I checked my property, bath, seat toilet, over were damage. Rubbish was not taken out. I have to replace oven, bath and fix toilet seat before i can put my property in the market. The animals who I had as tenants were not civilised. The State Agency failed to check the property. I emailed photos, no acknowledgement or apology.

GoogleI moved into a new rental property managed by Maguire Jackson in August. I was assigned Danielle Bishop, the letting negotiator to oversee the viewing and process the Contract documents following a successful application. I found Danielle to be very professional, attentive and responsive throughout the process. There was a brief period of negotiation with the Landlord of the property, this was handled very well by Danielle and I was informed daily of any updates. I now deal with Siobhan Bartley, who has followed suit in being attentive in any issues I have had, fortunately they have been minimal. GoogleMy rating is related to the check-out procedures that MJ put in place when I moved out from one of their property. There is no communication between their staff members as they ask for an external company to do a kind of a snag list and then they take that list as the Bible, unless you provide proof that what's written in there is wrong, or at least, not caused by you. So please, KEEP EVERY PAPERWORKS/DOCUMENTS with you. Moreover, they will stand by the landlord side in case of a dispute, even when you show evidence that something is wrong in their calculation. On the first report, they want to keep more than £400 from my deposit to do maintenance jobs that the landlord was already aware of and refused to do during the last period of my tenancy because (knowing that I was about - 6 months later - to move out). This was known by Polly, one of the staff who makes mid-term inspections, but she didn't tell anything to her colleague Penelope which charged me of the sum written above. After showed the evidence (email conversation) the costs dropped to £200 which is still a price made up by errors. I have been charged for removal costs of furniture that was already into the house. The dispute is on going, as I've got evidence on my side. So please, be very careful. All that said, I appreciate the fact that they reply quite soon at your emails and they always smile via phone call or when you meet them at the office. But....it is not beacuse you smile that you are delivering great customer service.NegativeQuality

As a firm we have for many years successfully used the independent services of an inventory company before tenants move in who also do check outs when the tenants move out. The unusual disjointed nature of the service you received was exacerbated by having a new member of staff in training and we clearly apologise for this.

GooglePenelope was professional and helpful at all times when dealing with our check out and the negotiations with the landlord for the deposit deduction. If I was being critical, I'd point to the number of deductions originally charged as some were over the top, however I understand that this is driven by the landlord and Penelope was very effective as an intermediary to get the result we wanted. She was understanding and ultimately was able to secure us a reasonable final position which was much appreciatedPositiveResponsiveness

GoogleReally impressed with the property management team, especially Siobhan! Our oven broke a couple of days before the Easter bank holiday, so after emailing and with it being so close to the bank holiday, I didn't expect to have a working oven for over a week. But Siobhan managed to get someone out to look at the oven the same day and the contractor came by again the next day with the new part to fix it. Good communication, super friendly and I got to have a good Sunday dinner! The team have also been really helpful throughout the process of renting, offering advice when needed and answering my questions (even the stupid ones), props to James for being so helpful at the beginning!PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleIt is interesting that on the dedicated estate agent review site, AllAgents, Maguire Jackson scores 2.0. They do not appear at all on the most trusted and comprehensive review site, Trust Pilot. My experience dealing with Maguire Jackson has been very negative. I have been deliberately mislead regarding availability of properties, on one occasion traveling from overseas to view a specific property, only to be advised the day before the viewing that the "vendor had taken the property off the market". I learnt subsequently from the vendor directly that the property had been withdrawn only from Maguire Jackson's portfolio. Communications have been dreadful, with expressions of interest in relation to properties not being responded to, and other communications requiring chasing up numerous times. It is a great surprise to me to see that on this review site they score 4.3... hmmm!?

GoogleThe worst estate agent I’ve ever used. Horrific customer service from most the team, liars and rude. Cracked window never fixed through a year stay (and other flaws), moved into a dirty place that they promised would be clean prior to move in day. No deposit back. On my move out I left it immaculate with no damage and after waiting over a month I still have no deposit back or any form of communication. Do not trust this estate agent.
