If I could have given 10 stars out of 5 I wouldn’t have hesitated.As a new to the scene landlord I had a flat to rent out in Birmingham and had the luck of the Gods to be connected to Lily Johnson at John Shepherd.Since taking it on she has been proactive, effective and efficient beyond my wildest dreams and the level of communication and collaboration to get things sorted and moving forwards has been outstanding.From the moment we made first contact to when the first tenants moved in it took only 2 weeks and she had a few hurdles to clear in the process. GoogleThis agency is not recommended for students, they take advantage of your lack of knowledge & abuse their power. Kai - the property manager was very argumentative over the phone when trying to deal with a situation, he is not very helpful. Also I called the maintenance team multiples times on different occasions & we never received a response from them. When there was a fire in the building, located on our floor, there was no power & tenants were not allowed in the property, despite this the agency / property manager never reached out to their tenants & blamed it on the fact that ‘no one knew’

We have been complaining about no cold running water in kitchen. Which works when it wants n 4loose taps in bathroom which seem to be getting worse over time these issues have not been rectified n feel strongly let down

GoogleIt is a company that you can not trust, as they habitually do not address your questions. Without my prior consent or agreement, they suddenly charged me a bill more than £600 for some simple repairing works that were not urgent or emergent.

After selling via JS (see previous post) we were left in a situation where renting short term was our only option - thankfully the whole process has been just as flawless with their lettings department as it was with their sales department!We were stung quite badly by a local competitor (I don’t like to name names but Xact) however from our very first interactions with Alan booking us the viewing, Gail being a fantastic viewings rep & Jamie and Drew taking over once our application was in I’ve been floored by the service.It all went without a hitch. They kept us in the loop while we were away on holiday & Jamie even responded to me outside of hours to ensure I had the metre readings I needed when I needed them.I wouldn’t think twice about using JS again in the future & hope that in 12 months time when we are looking to purchase we will be dealing with them!
