GoogleHad a very poor experience with this agent and staff. Wasted allot of valuable time. Viewed a property in Edgbaston Birmingham, as an investor the property was good the price obviously marketed low to drum up interest. Upon speaking to one of the team at the property on process of making a offer I was informed to make a first offer of another person makes a better offer we will contact you back and you can make a best final offer. So I made an offer 10k over asking. I was then contact by Clair asking for all my personal information bank statements etc, which was sent. She said we will get back to you. After two weeks I heard nothing so I emailed her twice. Explaining I have another deal which I can go for elsewhere if this property is not going through. Three emails no reply. 2/3 weeks letter I get a offer refusal letter. I replied back to the email. “ please inform me of what the landlord is seeking” once again no reply. I called a week later to be told property is now sold to higher offer. I asked why didn’t nobody contact myself so I could increase my offer. I was given an apology. As an investor be mindful working with this agent. Time is money communication is key. In the end I lost both deals and wasted approximately 8 weeks.
Dear Mr Yafai, I am sorry you were not happy with the experience you received from my company and will look into our processes to make sure this does not happen again. I can conclude though that we could have done better, we are not perfect and mistakes can happen from time to time so please accept my sincere apologies that you did not experience our usual 5 star service - I have reviewed the file and can see this was a very popular property with around 30 viewings undertaken and 10 offers placed. We communicated all the offers to our clients for their consideration, but sadly you were not successful at this time. I can see the timeline between your initial offer being placed and us coming back to you following completion of all the viewings and our clients making a decision was 10 working days. We did try to call you to convey our clients decision but believe you were out of the country, we subsequently sent you an email regarding your offer. GoogleHaving used numerous agents over the past 15 years it’s such a relief to finally find one that does things professionally, efficiently and with a friendly approach. Ian kept us informed along the way and made logical suggestions, and we had a great tenant vetted and moved in extremely quickly. Can’t fault the service and Humberstones will be our “go to” agent in the future.
