Dixons team were really helpful and supportive through what is a very stressful process, in particular during the current pandemic. They respond to messages extremely efficiently and come back to you promptly with any queries you may have. The team were always professional when accompanying viewings and gave feedback throughout the process. In selling our property we have dealt with other estate agents for our onward purchase, and in comparison to the Dixons team they have proved to be a disappointment. Georgia and Ilan were amazing ! This 5 star only goes to Tayla from Dixon and Sharon from countrywide . Tayla Managed to sort out the problem so efficiently also very helpful , patient and caring . Sharon I really don't know which word I can use to describe her fantastic customer care . It has been more than 3 years as a tenant , every time there was an issue and noone could help me out regarding to apartment etc…Sharon was there to listen to me and were trying her best to sorted out . Horrendous experience with this estate agent. Convinced me to send over £198 for a holding deposit which I was assured would be refunded withing 3-5 working days if I did not get the property. No mention of a guarantor throughout the whole process until the last minute. Explained that I could not secure a guarantor and was assured that my money would be refunded promptly should I be refused the property, due to late notice of guarantor being needed. It has now been 7 working days since I sent Jaia my details and she confirmed a refund would be on the way, and I have still not recieved my money. Every time I phone the branch nobody seems to answer, or when they do they give me a flippant answer such as "it must be tied up in accounts or something" . Have now had to escalate my complaint to head office. Disgusting way of handling this process from start to finish - would certainly avoid these cowboys

I went to Dixon for a flat on Oldbury, all god till i got there to see the propriety i was shocking in what condition was the flat, absolutely disgusting, they want 850£ rent for one bedroom and another 850£ deposit, the condition of the walls absolutely unbelievably all wallpaper falls down and tales from kitchen missing, no dors between bedroom and kitchen, and at the end I have refused to get the flat they refuse to refunding my holdings fees, absolutely legal robers this agents.

I am giving the highest recommendation to Dixons Selly Oak as they found the buyer of my house in 9 (NINE!!!) days. As a scientist I made my own research to decide which estate agency is the best. First, based on Zoopla recommendations, I invited agents from 13 estate agencies from South, West and Central Birmingham to valuate my house. They brought their brochures and lists of properties sold recently for comparison. Most of them provided fairly similar valuation values (differences were within £20,000), although the difference between the lowest and the highest was £60,000!!!! Most of the agents were very kind and friendly. The differences appeared with the agency fees and the selling process. Some agencies had rather low fees in comparison to others (below £1000), but needed to be paid upfront with additional payments for accompanying viewings. Not all of them offered the viewings during the weekends. Dixons Selly Oak maybe does not have the lowest fees, but believe me, they were not the highest. In addition to that Dixons offers professional photographer included in the fees (some agencies offer that for some extra fee). I also checked my chosen top three agents sending them emails from the another email account requesting details of another properties. Dixons answered immediately, asking when I would like to view those properties. The other estate company (a fantastic small family estate agency) answered in the evening (which was understandable, as they are much smaller), but the third one (a big one) did not answer at all. In addition Dixons have many branches, and lots of contacts, which is really important if you want to sell your house fast. All of that convinced me to choose Dixons. The viewings were always on time, and people had lots of time to ask questions :) Finally, at this point I would like to thank Jan Sturley, the Property Sales Co-Oridinator who called/send me emails every week with the updates and chased the solicitors. She made the process of selling a house less stressful for sure :)

Bad experience

I would strongly advise to stay away from dixons/countrywide letting agents from managing a rental property. Especially the Warwickshire office as they would do everything in every opportunity to instruct their own contractors making false allegations of works required on the rental property to make money for themselves. They also hide their complaints procedures when contacted directly and asked about the process and their calls are not recorded so they make things up and completely disregard any instructions given by the landlords. Unfortunately complete professional crooks. They will put all sorts of barriers to raise a complaint and refrain from providing a final response to prevent escalation for their governing body to investigate.
