I did not receive the level of mortgage…

I did not receive the level of mortgage support I expected from this company. While their general customer service was satisfactory, the mortgage advisor was not helpful. Despite charging a substantial fee, I do not feel that he secured the best possible deal for me. In my view, Mr. Mazar Singh appeared more focused on maximising his own profit than on acting in the best interests of the customer, particularly given his £700 fee.

Dixons Erdington made it easy

I've recently completed, I was a first time buyer, I'd had a previous bad experience where a dodgy seller pulled out at the last minute and cost me money, I was kind of struggling with the whole process, but Dixons made it easy for me. I was shown round the property by Alison, who knew everything about the property and the area, even who the neighbours were, then from there Sarah handled it and she was brilliant, always keeping me informed and chasing the other solicitor. Then my solicitor went into administration and couldn't carry on working and even then Sarah told me exactly what to do and handled it all for me once I had a new solicitor. It was a massive relief in the end. I'd definitely recommend Dixons after that.

Dixons - Erdington Branch - my brother and I sold our late parents property through Dixons Erdington. Charlotte Rose is a magician! Charlotte was superb from the outset with open and honest discussions about the property and excellent advice to sell the property via the Modern Auction Method. Charlotte had developers/buyers on her books who didn’t waste time. They visited the house and confirmed the same afternoon that they wanted to buy the house. A stress-free sale with no fuss and no mess. Also, Charlotte was very supportive, caring and assisted with arranging ID checks and documentation for my brother. Charlotte, again, turned into a magician by having a stunning flat on her books which was perfect for my brother and she negotiated a great price. The whole team at the Erdington Branch were approachable as well as completely professional - I would totally 100% recommend the team in Erdington. Thanks so much.

Forget the money-thirsty Oakmans, go to Dixons!

I have dealt with Dixons Estate Agents on several house viewings in Birmingham, and my experience has been excellent. Amy and Claire are genuinely the nicest estate agents I have met. They are energetic, professional, and, most importantly, they take the time to listen. They really paid attention to my preferences for buying a house, made thoughtful recommendations, and never once tried to push a property on me that didn’t feel right.

From start to completion the experience was excellent. Pete and Molly were both a great support throughout the process from viewing the house and the seller accepting the offer. Weekly updates from Pete and Molly over telephone to explain what will happen and as it was a probate case, they detailed explained the steps we have to follow. I have heard people say buying a house can be very stressful, but through DIXONS and thank you so much to Molly and Pete it went smooth with no stressing. Well where do I start, definitely with two word'Top Notch'. Abi, Pete,Ali and my absolute favourite Molly worked so hard to secure our happy ever after home that words are sometimes difficult to express. From myself and my husband deciding to put our home on the market, truthful words were spoken to inform us of what to expect, cost, timescale of the lengthy process,expectations from e.g solicitors and so forth. Been kept updated with each process was very helpful. Whether you had the smallest question and needed to telephone the Moseley office, never feel that if you don't get through straight away and you hear the office recording, don't worry as in our case, Molly 10/10 times returns your call within minutes. Molly even came into work when she was on 'holiday/leave, as our sale was so close to completion. Our sale went through successfully and our follow on purchase was successful too, we are now in our dream home, thank you Moseley Dixon's Team, much appreciated from the Holloway's.

We used Dixon’s to sell our parents house after they passed away. To begin with they said they could achieve a price far in excess of their competitors valuations - I was sceptical but we liked Abigail’s ideas on marketing so we decided to give them our business. In fact they did achieve the asking price and offers above were also received. We were offered an additional marketing package with professional photos - this was definitely worth paying for as the photos were excellent and showed the property off to its full advantage. Dixon’s marketed, conducted viewings and vetted the applicants, providing a spreadsheet of all offers with details of the funding. This allowed us to make an informed choice as to which offer to accept. The house was empty and unoccupied for 10 months as we were unable to exchange contracts until we obtained probate. Abigail and her team went over and above by regularly collecting mail and checking on security. Pete even visited to take final meter readings on the day of completion. All of this was over and above and helped us enormously since the property was not local to any of us.

From day 1, Peter was incredibly positive, extremely responsive but more importantly, had great suggestions for homes to view based on my needs. I have recently brought a property with Dixons and they were very helpful from start to finish. Abi is a perfect branch manager and runs the great service with the very helpful Molly and extremely helpful Sam - the mortgage advisor. The process was a lot quicker than I was told by others - it ended up being 2.5 months to get keys rom first viewing. This was helped by Sam who stayed in the office for hours after the store closed, the solicitors which were allocated by Dixons who have an online portal with all the documentation posted on it and Molly and Abi who sold me the property from minute 1.

I was purchasing a property through Dixon's, and I have to stay from start to finish we had a great experience. First up, Peter was down to earth and honest at the viewing and was really helpful giving us an insight into the property. He assisted us in making the offer and was reasonable with all our requests. We then got passed over to Molly who was an absolute joy to deal with. In what is naturally a stressful process, Molly kept us updated and was helpful throughout. She was a friendly face and really understood all the frustrations you can go through with a house purchase. When Molly wasn't available, Abi was always happy to pick up the pieces and provide updates in the same helpful and friendly manner. I can only speak from a purchase perspective, but I have no doubt they would be equally as helpful with all aspects whether you're selling or renting. I recently purchased my first property through Dixon's at Moseley, which was a bit daunting, and after multiple viewings all over I met Peter who I had met for one of my first. He was honest and helpful, and I finally settled on a place that suited. Molly was always keen and available to support and keep it moving, and Abi helped out if she was not available at first instance. Together with great help from Samar (in mortgages) they got me through the whole process and pushed right to the end to make sure we handled all the details with solicitors and the previous owner. The service was very professional and I'd recommend them to other buyers. They have firsthand experience in the area and work as a team to support their clients.

I went to Dixon for a flat on Oldbury, all god till i got there to see the propriety i was shocking in what condition was the flat, absolutely disgusting, they want 850£ rent for one bedroom and another 850£ deposit, the condition of the walls absolutely unbelievably all wallpaper falls down and tales from kitchen missing, no dors between bedroom and kitchen, and at the end I have refused to get the flat they refuse to refunding my holdings fees, absolutely legal robers this agents.

She was responsive and helped following up. Dr Cheng had to find contractors to complete the house job. Yet I think that's because his tenancy ended in the "unfortunate time" during Christmas. Anyway, he found Ana had been working closely and promptly with him, and his tenant to sort out the deposit deduction. The deposit deducted went to his account without delay. Bad experience

I would strongly advise to stay away from dixons/countrywide letting agents from managing a rental property. Especially the Warwickshire office as they would do everything in every opportunity to instruct their own contractors making false allegations of works required on the rental property to make money for themselves. They also hide their complaints procedures when contacted directly and asked about the process and their calls are not recorded so they make things up and completely disregard any instructions given by the landlords. Unfortunately complete professional crooks. They will put all sorts of barriers to raise a complaint and refrain from providing a final response to prevent escalation for their governing body to investigate.
