UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE

POOR SERVICE!! My property, which has been under the care of Erdington Lettings for the past five years is lying empty. Following the recent departure of my tenant, the property is now vacant due to significant damp and mould issues, which I understand have been exacerbated by a leaking roof. Despite the seriousness of this situation, the level of service I have received to date has been extremely disappointing. I have been required to repeatedly chase for updates, and in most cases, I receive no response. On the occasions where I have managed to speak to someone, I am assured that follow-up emails will be sent, however, to date, I have not received any written communication as promised. I am now trying to arrange for the property to be re-let, but I am again experiencing a lack of response from the lettings team, despite leaving multiple messages requesting a call back. This situation has now reached a point where it is unacceptable. The lack of communication, delays in addressing essential issues (including potential structural concerns such as the leaking roof), and failure to progress reletting are causing both financial loss and unnecessary stress. I require the following as a matter of urgency: I require Immediate contact from the lettings team to progress marketing and re-letting of the property Access to my property so remedial works can commence. A dedicated point of contact going forward If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no option but to escalate this further.

Gave 1 star as was not able to give no stars. I rang the office on 17/7/25 at 16.51 and arranged a visit for 13.00 today to carry out a valuation. No-one turned up!!!, wasted over 2 hours waiting around. They did not have any record of appointment. If a company cannot be efficient when they are dealing with potential new business then god knows what the service will be like once they have your money.

Recently put an offer in for my first house and was super daunted by all the legal and morgage requirements that needed to be in place to make the purchase complete. Thankfully the team at Dixons Acocks Green helped me. Adam, Lee and Courtney were always a phone call away. I would recommend anyone buying there first home to buy the hand in hand house purchase service provided by Adam it does come at a fee but well worth it as all solicitors are in house and he will save you allot on your monthly morgage repayments.

Forget the money-thirsty Oakmans, go to Dixons!

I have dealt with Dixons Estate Agents on several house viewings in Birmingham, and my experience has been excellent. Amy and Claire are genuinely the nicest estate agents I have met. They are energetic, professional, and, most importantly, they take the time to listen. They really paid attention to my preferences for buying a house, made thoughtful recommendations, and never once tried to push a property on me that didn’t feel right. Their approach is completely different from my experience with Oakmans, where I always felt like just another person in a long queue and, at times, as if they were doing me a favour by showing a property. With Dixons, the process felt personal, respectful, and genuinely helpful. If you’re looking to buy or sell a house in Birmingham, I would definitely recommend going to Dixons.

Dejan is very knowledgeable about the local market and that's what made us choose Dixons. He and his colleagues were always highly professional throughout our sale, returning our calls promptly and keeping us updated regarding viewings and feedback, with valuable advice. We were unfortunate in that 2 potential buyers pulled out (just a change of circumstances, like so many people), but as Dejan had interested potential buyers waiting we had a good offer within a week of the second buyer pulling out and have just completed. Covid restrictions lengthened the sale process, but Dixons marketed our property as actively as possible throughout that time. I would recommend Dixons Kings Heath.

I did not receive the level of mortgage…

I did not receive the level of mortgage support I expected from this company. While their general customer service was satisfactory, the mortgage advisor was not helpful. Despite charging a substantial fee, I do not feel that he secured the best possible deal for me. In my view, Mr. Mazar Singh appeared more focused on maximising his own profit than on acting in the best interests of the customer, particularly given his £700 fee.

Dixons Erdington made it easy

I've recently completed, I was a first time buyer, I'd had a previous bad experience where a dodgy seller pulled out at the last minute and cost me money, I was kind of struggling with the whole process, but Dixons made it easy for me. I was shown round the property by Alison, who knew everything about the property and the area, even who the neighbours were, then from there Sarah handled it and she was brilliant, always keeping me informed and chasing the other solicitor. Then my solicitor went into administration and couldn't carry on working and even then Sarah told me exactly what to do and handled it all for me once I had a new solicitor. It was a massive relief in the end. I'd definitely recommend Dixons after that.

Dixons - Erdington Branch - my brother and I sold our late parents property through Dixons Erdington. Charlotte Rose is a magician! Charlotte was superb from the outset with open and honest discussions about the property and excellent advice to sell the property via the Modern Auction Method. Charlotte had developers/buyers on her books who didn’t waste time. They visited the house and confirmed the same afternoon that they wanted to buy the house. A stress-free sale with no fuss and no mess. Also, Charlotte was very supportive, caring and assisted with arranging ID checks and documentation for my brother.
