Had our house on the market for a while and these guys came knocking asking if we’d prefer using them which we politely refused. Not a problem when you have a house on the market. However fast forward to recently when our house is now off the market and they still came knocking which is ridiculous and unwanted. This just means that if we ever look at putting our house back on, we won’t be using them. Also had a bad experience about 10 years ago as our vendors agent too. Don’t like their tactics and manner. Very sly and unnecessary. We’d personally avoid these guys.

Where do I start amazing people amazing services and just the smoothest process. Everyone in the office was lovely approachable and really helpful. Showed me around many houses and were really friendly. Then helped me find the right home and ensured that everything was correctly and quickly. I was a first time buyer so I didn’t know much but they helped me and talked me through all the process. There in house services are brilliant which I used as it saved me a lot of money and time. Absolutely Terrible, if i could rate 0 stars i would, I have called this Estate agents over 15 times spanning across a week or more to try to book viewings on over 5 different properties and they never answer there phone, I have left mutliple voicemails requesting a call back and have heard nothing, I would never recommend anyone to sell a Property with Burchill Edwards as they can never answer the phone to potential Buyers or even make a attempt to contact them back, Absolutely Shocking!

TERRIBLE! We had given them £320 in deposit in mid Feb this year for rental property which we were told is refundable but they could not find us a property. Despite this, 2.5 months later, they still have not given us a refund for this even after multiple calls and visits. Gracie does not reply to our calls or emails - this is absolutely disgraceful and I would not recommend trusting this company. If they don’t give me a refund as soon as possible, I will take this to to court.

Just wanted to mention the first Class service received by Ellie in the Tynemouth office. She is more than helpful every time I speak to her. I am a Landlady and despite the extremely expensive charges Bridgefords have for every aspect of Letting, it is Ellie who is polite, extremely efficient, always pleasant and a delight to deal with. Service like this needs to be recognised ...Ellie should run the office as nothing is ever too much trouble. I was visiting recently from London and Ellie was off, sadly. Other staff were on the phone and didn't even acknowledge I was there! so rude considering the money I pay them. I am in the Property business myself, so know how people expect to be treated. We met Lee Johnson from Countrywide without any knowledge about house buying or what is needed to make it happen. He enabled us to create our credit profile as we had never had credit before and needed this to get a mortgage. He told us everything about getting the maximum we can afford from our salaries, making sure we had the best mortgage provider/rate and also ensuring that if anything bad was to happen, the house and our earnings would be covered and the house would be paid for! I had an appointment booked for today at 2.p.m with the view to put my house on the market so I would be in a position to make an offer on a viewing tomorrow. I received a call around 1.30 to inform me that the agent is running 30 minutes late, making the expected visit for 2.30. 3.15 came. I rang the agents to be told she's not attending. To rub salt in the wounds furthermore I was told she couldn't come to me because of traffic and she would make the visit after me late. Viewing cancelled as I had wasted my day off waiting round for nothing.

Contractors should avoid at all costs!! We fitted a cylinder in a property for this agent, and have received no payment, now three month overdue. They tried to pass us onto the landlord when we’ve worked direct with them. We’ve still heard nothing, despite numerous calls, emails, complaints. We will be forced to get a debt recovery involved. Would not recommend working for them!

There is a major issue with this agent at the Sheldon branch, they don't allow you to view their properties unless you use their mortgage broker. Their excuse is the vendor not letting them book in the viewings when the problem is them. If you guys out there wanting to sell your property, I suggest you go somewhere else. I'm not the only one on here is saying this, there's a lot of people saying the same thing. Such a bad reputation for such a big company

Dealt with Louise at the Sheldon branch - avoid at all cost if you hear the name, for your own sanity. Purchased a house a few months ago and had the displeasure of dealing with this individual. She wouldn’t pick up calls or return any at all. Constantly chasing her around. Vendor was so fed up as the sale of property was stalling due to Louise’s poor communication skills, vendor contacted us via their solicitor. Within a week the sale had gone through, due to direct contact. I really can’t give enough warning to not sell your property with these people. I feel well and truly ripped off and I’m ashamed I paid them. I sold my house and was actually told by a potential buyer that he wanted to offer what I had asked for when he viewed, but was told if he took their mortgage services they would convince me to knock 3k off. He turned up to my house after having his (lower offer) declined to warn me how bad they are. Couldn’t ever get through on the phone. If I was employed for financial services by them, I would be seriously concerned about losing my right to practice or the FCA getting involved. Seeing other reviews I can see it’s common. Stay away, you’ll hear in a few years they’ve been shut down and we’ll find out the true extent of their dishonesty/ fraud. That was only one example of the many problems we had.

They Walk the walk! Wow, what a result! I sold a property from start to finish in 8 weeks post COVID! I was quoted by lawyers and estate agents to expect 12 to 16 weeks due to the sheer volume of property sales putting pressure on all aspects of the sales process. Stephen S (branch manager) said he could achieve above my expectation and quicker as he had sold others on the same road. Worth mentioning is Stephen was very keen and professional - what you'd expect from a business owner as opposed to an employee! From start to finish the experience went smoothly. Stephen viewed and valued the property, i was then passed to the sales management team who liaised with me during the marketing and viewing stages, then once sold, i was passed to aftercare (customer liaison) who ensured the process kept moving. A well sorted business model run by a very competent team that clearly works like a well-oiled machine. Thanks to all at Burchell Edwards Sheldon especially to Douggie and Stephen!

Contacted the Sheldon branch to enquire about a property they had on the market. Stephen answered the phone he was professional, helpful and made you feel comfortable. An appointment was made at short notice, Steve accommodated so we could view the property on the same day. Jordan met us at the property, what a delight this young man was, courteous polite and showed us around the property maintaining a professional manner at all times. I then had an appointment with Gary (Mortgage Manager) what a breath of fresh air. He was very informative, knowledgable and you could see he genuinely wanted to help. I have found all staff I have dealt with at this branch polite and really focused with providing their customers a good service. Steve has always got back to any calls promptly regarding a further viewings, questions or queries we have had. Why I need to give them one rate star. They don't deserve even for 0.Scammers and unprofessionalls.September 1st I should have moved to a rented flat in Manchester. On the pics and you tube short movie sent by this agency( which are old to attract attention !!!) everything looks very nice.In the reality completely different. Place is not in a good condition to live in, not even in a basic. It's not health and safety. Flat had not been cleaned after previous tenant or even tenants(if someone really lived before). Inspection had not been done before my moving date. Mould is everywhere in the flat, walls are dirty (black),gas cooker is damaged, knobs pop out and using of it may cause fire and even explosion, there is no possibility to open windows, in case of a gas leaking or dense smoke there's no chance to make flow of air, in case of a fire the only one way to escape is through main door only, smell of this flat is disgusting, grouty mould in the bathroom. Old, dirty mattress with stains. Old shaking wardrobe that may collapse and cause injury. A devastated piece of furniture inside the room. Living there may cause serious health and safety problems.Flat should have been prepared before moving. But no one did anything.Letting agent/Landlord was not in the flat during moving in. Key collection in the branch. Flat looks like an abandoned place!!!!Straight away I gave termination to the landlord due to negligence.I asked for a full refund but they are not (letting agency/ landlord)willingness to do this.I recorded video and took some pictures (if someone would like to see, pls contact me)One week after my moving date agency sent cleaners (8th September)cleaners to that flat. Next day I came there to take a look at a result. Cleaners done - bathtube, toilet. In the kitchen - worktops, cupboards and top of the gas cooker.Knobs from the gas cooker poped out as previously.Walls not even touched. Mould still there. Rest as I mentioned above.I returned keys to the letting agency.Next week (Monday 12Sep) I received an email from letting agency that landlord agreed to release me from the contract but wants to keep my deposit which I think in these matter is absolutely not fair.I'm feeling scammed depressed,broken down and humiliated.If you will find good place in a very attractive price and want to arrange viewings then agency usually will never give you any response or send response that flat/house is not available anymore.If you call them and say you're interested and ready to pay then you attract attention.Agency and landlord earned money and have you deep in their ......!!!!Shame I can't puy in here pics and movie.I lost £1290. Luckily I could come back to my former place. Otherwise I would be homeless or had to move into that ruin place.STAY AWAY and RUN AWAY!!!!! Not worth your health.
