To be a guardian of a house is very special indeed 😁I came from a private shared house in the city which didn't have much space,no living area, tiny garden and the rent was high. I felt Iike I was a sardine in a can and I was going crazy with the lack of privacy.There are 5 people living there don't now how they got away with it.Now I live in an old retirement home as a guardian which is beautiful and gots lots of space. Feel like I live in a castle copared to my last home .My room is twice the size of my last room and £100 cheaper😁.I have my own bathroom on my floor.A good working kitchen with lots of straoge.The garden is huge. which we all help to maintain and I plan to grow my own veg this year which I have always dreamt about 🙏🏾💫✨ The rent is amazing for what you get and no stress of any bills or taxes.I live with 11 people all of different ages and walkes of life. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.Its very special to be part of the guardianship 😊🙏🏾 AD Hoc are very well organised and very professional at what they do🙏🏾its really nice to see a company being fair to give people a home🙏🏾 especially at these hard time when everything keeps going up. Thank you hoc team for this new beginning home is where the hart is 🙏🏾💫✨

idealy for those who would like to save some money!
I have lived in one of adhoc property for nearly 3 years...
unfortunately, they had to give the property back to the owners and I had to find a suitable place to move in near central Bristol; only bacause all of the other properties managed by adhoc at the time, where not suitable mainly because of the travelling distance otherwise I would carry on living in one of those property!
Maybe in the near future.

Great service from start to finish. Due to a swift change in personal circumstances I needed somewhere cheap to live and the option offered by Ad Hoc was a life saver. We received our eviction notice 2 days after Christmas. Coincidentally the heating “stopped working” on the same day and hasn’t worked since. 36 of us are at threat of homelessness, living in temperatures which are below legal requirements. We’ve been threatened by Ad Hoc’s guardian manager, Dean Tidy, with withholding our deposits and not giving us references. The eviction and heating dramas aside, we are living in a property where one of the 3 communal kitchens is defunct (but still advertised as having 3 communal kitchens), one of these kitchens’ windows doesn’t close, and one kitchens’s sink’s drain didn’t work for over a year. (A guardian was the one who fixed the sink in the end.) The power in the laundry room is fried so the washing machines are now powered through an extension cord to the hallway outlet which fails regularly due to too much power for the power strip. 3 bedrooms have leaking issues, 1 that is currently lived in, 2 that have recently been shown around to potential guardians. And 2 doors to the property don’t lock properly.All of this has been raised with the guardianship agency, namely Dean Tidy and Ayla Soupe, with no real action taken and an annoyance with our prodding to get things fixed. We are writing this anonymously as we are afraid of losing our deposits and references for our next homes, if we find one before we are evicted. Would not recommend.

My only negative is it can be difficult to get through to anyone on the numbers provided, but if you need cheap accommodation, some all inclusive and you don’t mind having 28 days notice, this company is great. Well done for providing a much needed service especially while so many of us are struggling financially!

Be careful ! this company is really incompetent. I live in one of their properties in Lockleaze, Bristol. Last year, we had no heating and hot water between November and February. Their maintenance manager just kept fobbing us off and is doing the same this year. Why Bristol City Council provided them with an HMO licence I don't know. When I tried to get redress by contacting Bristol City Councils Private Sector Team I got nowhere. It appears they are complicit in their incompetence by issuing this abortion of a company with a licence and they told me they were unable to take enforcement action as the contract they had with them didn't allow it. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend this company at all.
