House not sold as a refurbishment or renovation project. Might just consider keeping a dog in the house until it is brought up to decent standards. We did not get a survey done, but there is a legal requirement for honesty from the vendor and the agent. Just spent quite a few hours removing an old section of guttering, that was too short, and fitted in such a way as to make removal difficult. Made up a bespoke section and now the water from the roof goes down the fallpipe and not down the outside wall. The seller volunteered that there had been a problem, but that she had got it sorted. No way was it sorted and the damp patch was hidden by a large fridge and curtains. And that is just the tip of the iceberg a lot more and expensive work to be done. House was not occupier ready

I cannot praise the team at Gates Estates enough for their care, support and patience in supporting me to sell my late father's house. It was always going to be an emotional time and two sales falling through didn't help but they worked so hard to get the ball rolling again. They were responsive to all questions, gave really clear advice (as it was quite daunting never having sold a house before) and kept me informed every step of the way. I felt the house was in safe hands throughout and I am really grateful to everyone involved.

Thank you to all the sales team at Gates Estates who have helped me and my cousin in dealing with the sale of 4 houses and a plot of land over the last few years. I personally don't know what I would have done without the help of Ryan, Marc and Rebecca. The last property sale was completed yesterday. Marc has always been there for advice and has helped in many ways eg taking meter readings which saved me a journey to the house. Rebecca has kept us up to date with the sale as it progressed. The whole team have shown compassion and dedication. I will have no hesitation in using the services of this company again if needed. I highly recommend them.
