GoogleThe most professional, friendly, supportive experience with Remax, Bexleyheath. James was by our side throughout and ensured that the sale of my Nans property was smooth running. Everything went to plan on moving day and it couldn’t have gone any better for her. And that was all thanks to James. We are so grateful for all of James’ help and support throughout the whole time from start to finish. He was always at the end of the phone if we needed any reassurance or had any questions. This was a big move for my elderly Nan but James made the whole process less stressful for her and she was top priority throughout making sure she was okay and was kept up to date with everything. Very considerate, understanding and down to earth. Am so pleased we used Remax, thank you so much again to James, and to David who supported with all the viewings etc at the beginning. GoogleAlthough the flat buying process was good. But on keys exchange when me & my wife was most excited to see our own flat that's when we got totally disappointed. After receiving keys from James(in Re/Max Bexleyheath office) we headed to see our new flat along with friends. We found that flat was not given to us in useable condition. Dust all over the floor, beneath & behind sofa, on lights, etc. Gas hob, Cooker hood, oven not cleaned and was sticky. Kitchen sink has bigger uncleaned spots. Reached out to seller through agency and they were not ready to pay for cleaning. RE/MAX also took their hands off as we only viewed the flat through agency. Utterly disappointed & now we had to pay high charges to get the cleaning done on urgent basis as we had to move into flat soon. This one point totally went over all the happiness we had on moving into our own flat.

We want to clarify that as estate agents our responsibility is to facilitate the buying process and ensure we do our best to help both buyer and seller reach exchange and completion; and we took great satisfaction in the 5-star review you originally left us as validation of the high value we place on the best customer service. Whilst we will always go above and beyond for buyers and sellers, we reiterate that we are not responsible for the physical condition of the property at the time of completion, as this falls under the purview of the seller and solicitors through the terms negotiated in the contract of sale. Nevertheless we were on hand and willing to mediate between yourselves and the sellers after completion, and, as per your request, we did indeed ask the sellers if they were willing to cover the cost of a professional cleaning service after completion. The sellers were not willing to pay for additional cleaning, saying they had already cleaned the property and, additionally, left the property virtually fully furnished free of charge. Furthermore, professional cleaning is not commonplace upon the sale of a property, unlike letting where it is obligatory. However we understand the situation you found did not meet your expectations and how this was frustrating for you. Please be assured we genuinely empathise with your sentiments upon completion, especially after what was a very good relationship throughout the whole process, and we deeply regret that it has marred what should have been the joyous occasion of moving into your own flat. However please know that we appreciate your feedback which is valuable to us, as we are committed to continuously improving our services.
