GoogleI had an amazing experience with them. Mr David was really helpful throughout the process and guided me with his expertise. Being a first time buyer, I was quite nervous. But thanks to David, he helped me and it never looked like he was looking to complete a deal. He instead recommended me to have survey checks to make sure if there is any fault with the property, we can back out of the deal. He was quite prompt in answering to any concerns, dealing with negotiations. Very nice and pleasant experience. The deal went through very smoothly and a lot of credit to him for that.

We had a long chain with a house that had gone through probate and my partner became critically unwell during the process. Google"Worse than the Virus" Disgusting experience. I had the worst experience at the worst time (pandemic). Why when we rent a property we have to pay before making the contract and if you delay to pay a month's rent, you are evicted and taken to court...? But what happens when the contract ends, you move and repeatedly request the return of the deposit, but they intentionally delay for more than half a year...? Nothing. Sounds pretty illegal, doesn't it? That was my experience with this real estate agency that proved its: incompleteness, insensitivity and uselessness. They don't even care that people lost their's jobs and are going through a very difficult time because of the pandemic, they continue to play with people's money at the worst possible time. I'm tired of this kind of agencies that have infested the real estate market and are just looking to make profit without respecting their customers.

GoogleWe recently bought a property in the Bexleyheath area through James at Remax. As first time buyers we was very anxious but James was excellent at explaining the process from start to finish and reassured us throughout, even though this wasn’t compulsory for him to do so. We found when viewing other houses through local estate agencies the agents were very pushy and was never completely honest. James always gave us an honest opinion and allowed us time to decide and respected us as first time buyers. James kept us up to date at all times and done his very best to ensure the purchase went as smoothly as possible. We was never chasing or waiting for a response and could always pick up the phone with any queries! We viewed many houses before finding the perfect home for us and we was very lucky to have James as the estate agent. The service was very professional, helpful and friendly. We can’t thank James enough for helping us through this stressful process and would highly recommend him to anyone either buying or selling a property.

GoogleI had a poor experience with RE/MAX as a purchaser overall unfortunately. I was sold a property that was supposedly 'chain free' and I offered a price above market rate because of this. However, shortly before exchange of contracts, the seller tied me into a forward chain of at least three more. This made what should have been a straightforward transaction incredibly stressful and uncertain, not to mention more costly for me due to interim accommodation costs due to the purchase being delayed as a result of the chain. Given that I then wanted to withdraw from the purchase or renegotiate the purchase price, I found it staggering that the agent then became invisible i.e. as opposed to directly intervening to save the sale. In the end, I only proceeded due to the overwhelming desire for my new wife and I to have a home we could call our own. I complained to RE/MAX post completion and had a debrief with the agent involved and his Area Manager, who came across as rather arrogant, but ultimately as someone who did not take any real responsibility for his agency's actions, or rather, in-action. Worse, as part of this de-brief, it turned out that the reason the seller tied me into a chain was because RE/MAX referred her to a financial advisor (and received a referral fee as a result) who advised her that it was best to buy and avoid a chain-free sale 'for tax reasons'. It was incredibly greedy, short-sighted and frankly stupid of RE/MAX to risk the sale in this way as a result and I am not sure they really know what they're doing. I suggest you avoid and try an alternative therefore.

We welcome the opportunity to set the record straight. When we were instructed to market the property as "chain free", it was the seller’s exact intention. Their change of plan is permitted under current law, which admittedly allows unstable and stressful situation such as this to occur by not locking-in all parties once an offer is accepted. As previously explained, the seller's decision to tie their forward purchase to the sale of their property was communicated to you as soon as we were informed. We have accepted that our communications with yourselves should have been better. We should not have assumed that open email communications between solicitors (with all parties copied) implied that everyone was fully informed and comfortable with the conveyancing process, which at that point was solely managed by solicitors. It is always the buyer's prerogative to renegotiate (or indeed withdraw) before exchange of contracts. We would have been receptive to any such request from you, and would have communicated it to the sellers immediately. Our agents are available 24/7 on mobile phones or by email. We are sorry that you were unhappy after our conversation of 02.07.24. Our recollection, supported by notes, of that conversation of over 30 minutes, is that we apologised for not communicating better with yourselves during the solicitor's conveyancing process, and also, that we resolved to ensure in future we do not assume all parties are comfortable with solicitor communications without checking. By way of clarification, the seller's reasons for linking their forward purchase were shared with you prior to our 02.07.24 call. It is categorically wrong to allege that we referred a financial advisor to the seller to prompt their decision. We can confirm that we did NOT refer any professional to the sellers at any point, and we did NOT receive any kind of fee for any such referral. These unfortunate accusations are based on a false belief, we hope our clarification has reassured you. Nevertheless, we will always accept responsibility for any shortcomings on our part, and resolve to use this experience to continually improve our practices and level of care. GoogleBooked a viewing for a property on Sutcliffe Road only to be told by text an hour before that the viewing had been cancelled! Also if I had not text the estate agent myself for confirmation I would never have known! I had to leave work early to attend this viewing and my wife had to cancel her trip to see family. Reply to the below response: Thank you for that police report you have written but if you can’t be bothered to turn up to an appointment then I’m not prepared to waste time and money trying to buy a house from you.

GoogleRE/MAX sold our maisonette recently and gave us a really great service. We worked with James, who kept us up to date all the way through the process and gave us advice that was best for us, rather than pushing for an unrealistic, overinflated price for our property. He was also instrumental in keeping the sale process moving along, liaising with other estate agents and the solicitors within the chain to make sure we completed at the agreed date. Couldn't recommend enough.
