Ashton Reeves weren’t our first choice when we chose to enquire about our property which was marketed by another (big) agent as well as Ashton Reeves. This (big) agent practically gave us the cold shoulder and we were made to feel like we had done something wrong by enquiring about a property more than £500k for whatever reason (maybe they thought we didn’t look the type to afford it). Having no luck, my wife found that Ashton Reeves had the same property advertised so we approached them. The difference was unbelievable. From the first point of contact right up until we got our keys; Ashton Reeves we’re friendly, welcoming, and so professional. The service we received is probably one of the best services we’ve received from any company.I can’t praise them enough!

We had 3 agents, including Ashton Reeves, value our property and charmed by the higher valuation of another agent (also by the number of branches they had) we went on the market with them. A few weeks and no viewings later the instructed agent's advice was to reduce, instead we instructed a second agent who, only a week after instruction, advised the same.Turns out we should have just listened to the honest valuation Ashton Reeves gave us at the beginning - Ashton Reeves were happy to put our property on their books and within a couple of weeks we had an offer agreed and now sold.They saved the chain and thanks to them we didn't lose our new home.Couldn't recommend or thank them enough!

Having had some terrible experiences with Agents in the past, Aston Reeves managed to restore faith that there are still incredibly professional agents out there. Their prompt and informative replies to all questions sprinkled with charm and good humor made, what is usually a daunting experience, a real pleasure. Somehow they made my little one-bed lettings deal feel like a key account for them, breaking away from the industry norm that Tenants are a dime a dozen and it is only the Landlords that matter. Dear Amber We are sorry for the delay in responding to your review. We take accusations of dishonesty very seriously and spend considerable time investigating these type of complaints thoroughly. Looking into this case; There was a high level of interest in the property that you were interested in, with close to 100 enquiries. In normal circumstances we would have held an open house across a number of days, however, due to COVID restrictions, we are not permitted to do so and therefore had to plan allocated time slots for all those interested. We appreciate this may be frustrating for potential buyers, and that you feel that you had to force your viewing, but we are glad to see we were able to manage the huge number of enquiries whilst keeping in line with current regulations and that we managed to get you a viewing arranged. Again, due to the huge volume of interest and the number offers flooding in, the vendors (who were overwhelmed with having to consider so many offers) asked that we obtained best and final offers from all by a set time and date. We emailed and sent a text to every interested party advising them, of the deadline for their best and final offers and that the vendors wouldn’t accept any offers past that time. I can see that you received both the email and a text and subsequently you kindly responded with your offer.Unsurprisingly, there were a huge number of submitted offers and, unfortunately, a number of these offers were higher than yours, you will be able to see the final sale price achieved yourself from Land Registry records once the sale completes. The vendors picked the offer that was best for them and we have to follow their instructions.We hope you may now have a better understanding of the situation and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused yourselves but after investigating the situation we can confidently, and proudly, say that our team managed this matter with the highest professional integrity whilst following current guidelines.We wish you the best of luck in your search for your new home.

Ashton Reeves were very good at keeping me in the loop with the move in process and were honest about delays and obstacles with referencing etc. Communication was regular and refreshingly not full of the duplicitous platitudes estate agents normally throw at you in place of honest conversation.
