Scott Knight was brilliant. Personable, really knowledgeable about the area and great with my 9 year old son who is nervous about a big move to Yorkshire. We met Scott at the office and he walked us up to the property which gave us time to ask him questions about Ilkley which he happily answered. He allowed us plenty of time to have a really good look around the property, about which he knew all the little details including a ‘secret hidden cupboard’ behind a mirror which captivated my son! He showed us an alternative, scenic route to the next property we were viewing so we could see more of Ilkley and he gave us a great lunch recommendation too! He definitely helped us make the most of the limited time we had in Ilkley. Thank you Scott! 🙏

As a landlord I expect a good level of service and care along with professionalism from my Letting Agent. This is exactly what I get from Linley and Simpson’s Willerby branch. Emma and her team listen and act on instruction and are competent and efficient at getting my property ready for letting. They get back to me when they say they will and their hard work is impressive, and results in a good relationship. They have trustworthy tradespeople who they can call on to carry out repairs for tenants with no fuss which, after all is what everyone wants to ensure that tenants are happy in their rental home. Very pleased !

All the team in York were so helpful with my move, especially Sharon! After issues with a property I was initially meant to move in to I only had a week to find somewhere else and they managed to sort this out for me and get me moved in in time. My daughter used this company to manage her apartment in Leeds. They failed to do any inspections during the tenancy and when the tenants left the apartment was in a very poor state. Furniture was badly damaged and there was very clear evidence that the tenants had kept a cat in the apartment, in breach of the tenancy agreement. All of this would have been revealed had L&S done their job properly, At the end of the tenancy L&S seemed indifferent and unconcerned about the issue. They then took months and frequent cajoling to deal with retentions from the tenants' deposit to cover the cost of the damage. Consequently we appointed another letting agent. We would not receommend L&S to other landlords.
