GoogleDan and his team led my wife and I through the auction process in selling a piece of land in a very professional and skillful manner which resulted in outstanding results which exceeded our expectations by a substantial figure. We are extremely grateful for the way in which the whole process was managed and the way in which we were kept informed and regularly updated. I cannot recommend Dan and First for Auctions highly enough.

GoogleSelling my property by modern auction was a bit daunting but, I can thoroughly recommend the excellent service provided by Daniel Gale from First for Auctions. Daniel’s knowledge and experience were invaluable, and he remained the ultimate professional throughout. Daniel kept me updated and was accessible at every stage of the process. He was proactive, solution focused, and responsive and an excellent communicator, who liaised with all parties to ensure that the sale completed despite delays from others. Daniel's colleague Sam was also extremely helpful in Daniels absence. Thank you so much Daniel, for providing a wonderful service, it was a pleasure doing business with you.

GoogleAfter unsuccessfully trying to sell a property through an estate agent I was put in touch with Simon at First For Auctions to discuss potentially using their services, it turned out to be a good decision as the property sold at auction for the price that we were looking to attain. Throughout the whole process Simon kept me informed, any documents that needed completing were sent to me in a timely manner, he even put me in touch with a solicitor who deals with auction sales, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend First For Auctions.

GoogleWe chose first for auctions to sell a house for us , Gareth took the reins for us , we had a buyer for it , they gave everyone the run around messing us about , but Gareth was having non of it ,he was on their back , I only chatted to him on the phone but he was brilliant , keeping us updated , I cannot thank him enough for all he did , we got the result in the end , would definitely use them again , thank you Gareth 😊

GoogleSelling our property through an auction was not something we had ever considered. However, having had two sales fall through, and needing some certainty in accessing our funds, we took our agent’s recommendation. My initial telephone conversation with Gareth was detailed, very informative and above all, candid. He fully explained the procedures and discussed the advantages and disadvantages at length. He recommended an excellent conveyancing solicitor, who was on the ball throughout the process. Having committed to auction, Gareth kept us informed at every stage, and was a reassuring and accessible presence. He proved very knowledgeable, and his predictions and valuations were spot on.

GoogleInitially, I used the conventional way in an attempt to sell my property, via an estate agent. Since my property was vacant and recently redecorated ready for sale, I assumed the sale process would move swiftly. I was wrong. There was all sorts of drama typified by eg infrequent viewings and substantial haggling re the asking price, which I did not appreciate. As a result of this experience, I compared the prices which prospective buyers were prepared to pay with those of auction valuations/auctioned sold prices. After extensive research and a great deal of informed decision making, I approached First for Auctions. Yes I’d heard all the stories of ‘you’ll never achieve full property value’ etc via an auction, but I’d made a calculated decision which fitted my circumstances and requirements and I was confident in going ahead. Alex Bicknell, from First for Auctions, responded to my email enquiry and explained with absolute clarity and in explicit detail the entire process of selling by auction. There was no bullsh1t. The First for Auction website is a treasure trove of no nonsense advice complete with past sale’s forecasts and sold prices and I’d advise everyone considering selling a property, by which ever method, to take a good look at the information there and have a really good think. I may add, that after my first enquiring approach to First for Auction, I was not pressured in any way to sign up. Alex was incredible throughout the entire process and I will always be thankful to him. He was, at all times, polite, professional, courteous and kept me fully updated on the process. He responded to my emails within minutes and was totally committed to the sale and supporting me. Indeed, I felt Alex ‘looked after’ me in every way. The entire process was totally drama free. I didn’t have to do anything. Alex arranged to have the property details advertised, amongst others, on RightMove and set a substantial auction reserve value. I was very keen to have the property sold and asked Alex to lower the reserve. He was obviously confident with his reserve value but was happy to accommodate my wishes. Alex made all the arrangements and dealt with the auction and my solicitor. Incidentally, this was the best solicitor I’ve ever worked with. She was recommended by Alex (Jo Reader of Clifton Ingram). The property achieved a substantial sale price which was only a few thousand pounds less than the original estate agents advertised it for and equalled what prospective buyers, via the estate agent, were offering. Totally brilliant! I was delighted with the entire experience. Everything was a dream, no drama, no unexpected issues or small print and clearly explained fees and expectations. I totally and unreservedly recommend First for Auctions and would absolutely use them again. Everything was open, honest and straight talk unlike the sweet talk of the estate agents. Thank you Alex, you made my year.

It had a few twists and turns along the way, but Dan was fast, professional, and reassuring throughout the whole process making it all a lot less panic inducing than it might have been. Highly recommend.

GoogleAll I can say is Wow! I achieved a sale price at the November auction which was so much higher than I expected. A huge shout out to Alex Bicknell who offered excellent advice on the guidance and reserve price to generate as many viewings as possible. Alex was extremely professional throughout, keeping me informed and making sure the process was as smooth as possible. Fingers crossed that the process now to completion in January is just as smooth. I'm sure it will be given what I have experienced so far!
