Googlei have been renting with this company since April 2020, i moved into my flat and it was disgusting, there was food everywhere, it was not cleaned atal, i had to go into b&m and spend so much money on cleaning things which they were not willing to give me back, even though there was meant to be a cleaner in before i moved in. i was in there for around 2 months and i had already had 2 noice complaints, although my neighbours are very loud i never complained about them but when it started to get too much i tried to complain and got put down with it and was told to just phone the police, but when it was me i was getting hounded because of it, then in about October time i got a phone call saying i had to be out the flat before April because "the landlord is selling up". So were now in February and i have put my notice in to leave on the 4th March 2021, i am a full time carer, key worker, but due to my partner having Covid-19 i had to take weeks off my work, i then have to put a deposit down for somewhere else to stay and have to pay for a lockup to put my things in before i can move into my new place and thats came to allot of money and due to missing out on wages because of covid im struggling this month, i had asked them if i could have abit of my rent put down this month and pay the rest on March 1st 2021, and i got sent a demand of £425 which is my full rent. so instead of just telling me no they have taken it way further into something its not needed to be. Also when i got my notice through the door i received a email from one of the workers saying that they have gave me my notice and i said i would "get out the flat asap" when thats not what i said, i feel like they were just trying to rush me out the flat. Im also pregnant and they are doing nothing but putting stress on me. my downstairs neighbour also said she hated martin and co due to her previous flat. they are really not a nice company to go with with renting. i 100% do NOT recommend. it has been the worst experience of living in my life.NegativeProfessionalism

When I tried to cancel my contract no one would sign for receipt of my letter then I was sent a horrible email from them telling me I was now banned from visiting the Office. The manager then continuously cold called me asking me where I’d taken my business and accused me of lying to him, threatening me with court action. Negligent would be putting it kindly. - lied about carrying out property inspections on numerous occasions, cleaning was carried out and the bill inflated. Staff unprofessional and rude The list goes on. Of course they will deny, but people vote with their feet and people in this area talk. Wouldn’t trust them as far as I could spit into the wind. GoogleI'm not sure what this company is like on the selling end, but as a prospective house buyer they are appalling. Generally one can obtain a home report instantly or within a very short time of requesting one. This company took 4 days to reply with 'you will be included in the next stage if you email ..', and finally sent a home report a week after initial request! It took about 10 phone calls attempts within the space of a week to get a call picked up, and the sale person responsible for house in question would not engage in a phone conversation about the property. We were ready to make an offer even without viewing -- given that is proving such a feat - but this unprofessional attitude would make our first home buying a dreadful experience! GoogleI would advise people, mainly students, to stay away from these con artists. Constantly lie, use decieving tactics to gain more money off you and have the most unprofessional staff I've ever dealt with. A few of their reviews are by some of their staff so don't believe the overall rating. If I could have I'd have gave them no stars at all. Avoid at all costs unless you've spare money to throw away and are okay with being robbed.

GoogleOne of the most incompetent companies I've had the mispleasure of ever dealing with. Renting a property where for most of this winter the heating and hot water were broken (two different issues) they don't seem to care even though there is a young child in the house and this is the last in a long line of problems that never get attended to. It's always blamed on someone else and you are never updated on anything having to continually chase them up and it only gets sorted when you have to resort to witholding payment and even then they phone every day demanding payment but only phoned once to check if the heating was fixed satisfactorily. Really awful experience!
