EDIT 2017-09-04: Everything below may be true about their Letting services, but when someone in a Mark Naylor sign-written white BMW tailgates me aggressively through town on the afternoon of Monday 28th Aug it does make me want to take it back.. I know you guys read your google reviews! Sort it out! ============================== Genuine, helpful and honest letting agents. No, really!! We were rental tenants with Mark Naylor for two years. We've have some ups and downs during our time, but Mark Naylor have always answered our emails, addressed our concerns and put repairs and redevelopments into practise in a fair and friendly manner. Sometimes things took a while to push through as with all agents but they seemed to work out in the end. I've had some real underhanded, cut-throat agents in the past but this lot are all right :) EDIT: I've just read the negative reviews below and generally I have no idea what they are on about. Sure, Mark Naylor are good at taking money off you, they are a successful business that's what they do. I'd be worried if they were offering services their dirt-cheap. I do agree that the "depth" of customer service varies depending on who you deal with at the office but it never falls below adequate. I have generally been impressed with the level of dialogue you can have with them regarding an issue compared to other agents.

My partner and I rented through Mark Naylor for just short of two years. In that time we maintained a very amiable relationship with them, finding them helpful and responsive. When small issues arose (appliance malfunction etc.) they gave us reasonable timeframes for fixing them, and made sure we were happy with work that was carried out. On the one occasion we had a serious issue (water leaking from a separate apartment) they responded quickly, advising us how to limit damage and sending a repairman to restore the affected area to to its original condition. We looked after our apartment well and cleaned it before we left, and our full deposit was returned just a few days after we vacated. We have now moved to a different area, but if we were moving locally, we would stay with Mark Naylor.

I'm glad I chose to ignore this review and continued to use them to form my own opinion as I really liked the look of the property they were advertising. They couldn't have been more helpful from start to finish, I firstly struggled to find the property I was supposed to be viewing and they waited for me, talking me through directions on my mobile. I proceeded to take the property and go through their procedures for renting, it was easy and all completed online so did not require me to visit their office which was great with working full time. Unlike many letting agents they open on a Saturday which meant I could make an appointment to visit the office without taking time of work to go through the contract (which they emailed me in advance so I could read in my own time), everything was explained fully. I still rent from them now and at any time I have had a maintenance problems it has been dealt with promptly, they also have a 24hr mobile number for emergencies which actually goes through to a member of staff so they know the property and can help even when it was my fault as I locked myself out! I would have no hesitation in recommending them and if I ever bought a property in Bath to let would be confident to have them manage it for me.

Recently bought a property that was listed with Mark Naylor, and i really couldn't say a bad word about them. They were brilliant in communicating with me, both via email and phone as they understood my job meant i couldn't always pick up calls. Very friendly people to deal with and always very understanding in some of the frustrating situations you are placed when buying a property. I also felt i could trust them, where as other estate agents i felt just told me what i wanted to hear. I certainly recommend them.

Anna and the Lettings team at Bath Stone Property have been nothing short of fantastic. From initial contact all the way through to check-in for our newly sourced tenants - they have been professional, courteous and diligent in all aspects. I would highly recommend for landlords and tenants alike. I have had dealings with other Bath based estate agencies, and BSP’s personal touches and “family ethos” put them, in my personal opinion, head and shoulders above their competitors.

Abysmal customer service and vial staff. For an entire year I had to put up with the rude, arrogant females working in this letting agency. Truly disgusting human beings who have no respect for your personal space, are unable to apologise when they make mistakes and who treat you like dirt on their shoe. Here's an example of an apology from their 'manager' ...... "I have looked into our conversation yesterday and did see that you were not given the 24 hours notice as required and you had indeed text to cancel the viewing. I was in fact on holiday and did book the viewing so I have spoken to the relevant person in the office with regards to this. We have now let the property so do not need anymore access anyway. Kindest regards, Jo Milton" No 'sorry for arguing with you on the phone' or 'sorry for shouting in your face when I tried to unjustly barge my way in to your flat' just a 'We have now let the property so do not need anymore access anyway'. Rent with someone else because their are plenty of decent (and cheaper) agencies in Bath.

Please don't base your opinion based on the below review. We recently used Mark Naylor to sell our property, and all the staff were knowlegable, friendly and helpful. Very communicative and not the least bit pushy. We trusted Mark immediately with his valuation of our property and he gave us really helpful advice at various stages throughout the sale. Our house sold very quickly (before it even went to market!). Our main point of contact throughout the sale, Helen, was absolutely brilliant in terms of communicating, was patient, helpful and always called back / emailed when she said she would. She made a stressful process much more bearable! Couldn't rate her / her service levels highly enough. All the agents knew of us and our property as well so the service was highly personal too. I would gladly recommend them and should we move back to Bath in the future would use them again! Thanks to you all for making a v stressful event much less so!

Very good at sorting any issues you may have with a property as long as you provide them evidence of the damage (ie photos in an email). All staff members are very friendly and after being with Bath stone as they changed hands I can safely say they are far more efficient and will send you to the right person to deal with any issues you may have.
