Experience as a landlord. Not sure what has happened over the years at the Basingstoke office, it used to be okay. I used to let 4 properties with them, but have withdrawn all properties from last month as the service is awful. The staff seem to have a degree in extremely poor customer service, with the lack of communication being their speciality. Taking the one review here that relates to GP property sales aside, every review here is 1 star. Why does this not ring alarm bells with senior management? To top it all, I now have a tenant having trouble getting their deposit back (from 3rd party company appointed by GP), and GP are being less than helpful getting it returned.

GoogleI completed on my house the other day which I bought through Gascoigne Pees. GPees was informative, accommodating, and had good communication throughout the entire process. Nic, Marlena, Kim, and Jim especially were patient and answered all necessary questions I had, as I am a first time buyer and was not 100% with the whole process. Buying through them was overall a good experience. I also notice they always had their vendor's interests at heart throughout the process rather than just trying to get a quick sale - so if you are selling a property soon, consider GPees as they will definitely do a great job of it. When I come to sell the property I will definitely consider Gpees as an option to sell through.

Terrible experiance Saw property pre launchPut full asking offer in at the time then told its going online for a while No EPC given said they would forward once it was in they didnt!No follow up calls thereafter10 days later Phoned in to see how things doing & if they had the EPc! agent dealing with me was off for the day said he will call me in the morning.Didnt get a call till late next day afternoon saying sold to the other intrested party. (I only learnt there was one other by making my call)No pre call to see if l was Prepared to up my offer. Feel having put full asking offer forward l had a valid intrest to be informed of its progress before putting forward their offers to seller.Shocking customer care The agent who showed me round lovely fella

GoogleThe worst estate agents I have dealt with. I won't deal with them again, also said to my friends to avoid renting from them. We received only 1 main door key (for 2 people) after a half year living in the property (we requested for one to be cut, it was a special one only made for order, never received it) When something was broken, after we reported it never got fixed. Not to even mention waiting for months to get back our deposit. Simply just never again.

GoogleLooking to move to the area. Saw a few properties online GP were helpful in sending me to view a couple. The house I put an offer on I was shown around by a lovely lady called Martyna she was really helpful and friendly. Then once my offer was accepted had another called Billi who was very helpful chased solicitor and checked in often with progress. I was always on her case and nothing was too much of a problem. Would recommend selling through them.

We called their office about a property advertised online. The woman who answered said the property was no longer available. This property has been advertised by them at least for a few weeks while at the same time actually not on the market any more. When we asked why still advertised the woman hunged up the call.

GoogleWe can't fault the experience we had with Gascoigne Pees throughout the process of selling our property. We were particularly impressed with Jim, who was excellent and very professional in all his dealings with us. His valuation was absolutely spot on! Kim also deserves a mention for going the extra mile in preparing for the open day. We would highly recommend GP to anyone thinking of selling their property.

On our move in day it was discovered that the property was not as advertised. It has been a nightmare since and we have incurred heavy losses as a direct result.Broken boilerBroken cookerBroken dishwasherNo fire alarmsNo valid gas safety checkNo heating or hot waterNo cleaning undertakenBlack mould throughoutBrown speckled mould throughoutSigns off water ingress in numerous areasDamp walls in areasSmell of mould and damp causing coughUnusable showers x2Broken front door lockNo postbox keyNo evidence of parking spot listed on tenancy agreementNo attempt has been made to repay the costs we suffered, nor has anyone apologised for ruining the lives of two disabled tenants. Absolutely appalling.

Have an incredibly positive experience with the Gascoigne Pees agents and I've finally found a property management company that's actually making an effort and favours both landlords and tenants.Upon entering, the flat wasn't in a good condition and needed cleaning and a few repairs; however they've been extremely cooperative and have arranged everything to be done, replying to my emails and sending me updates right away.Couldn't recommend them enough.

They are extremely pushy and have been making repeated phone calls trying to get our business despite repeated requests for them to leave us alone. If they can be this unpleasant and unprofessional when they’re trying to entice you in, what will they be like once you’re hooked in? Don’t do it!

After purchasing our property with the help of GP Basingstoke in 2014, which went very smoothly, I recently had a couple of issues so asked Nic Austen in the branch for help. He spent a good 30 minutes on the phone with me and then suggested I drop in the office so we could compare notes. He was really helpful and generous with his time, and spread some light on my situation.

I found a house to rent through Gascoigne and pees in Basingstoke. Never rented before, signed the tenancy, set up all the bills, gave notice on storage unit, booked Van etc, I got a phone call a week before saying the current tenants are refusing to leave. Whilst I get this is not the lettings agents fault and I was pretty understanding it was the aftercare, was told I would need to find somewhere else, when I asked if they had anymore properties I was told no, then I went on to explain I had sent another enquiry about a house that they were advertising over the weekend, I was told what do you want me to do about it as it’s not ready until mid November, as they didn’t even bother to ask if I had anywhere to go that was totally irrelevant. I asked them about all the expense I had laid out, buying things for the house, removal van etc, my storage unit doubling but all I got was nothing we can do. I felt very let down and felt there was no support at all. If I broke the tenancy then everything would have been thrown at me.
