Hi Maria Further to our conversation on the phone, I find the treatment from you very unprofessional.I have provided full information to you and your company with the details that the property is owned by a limited company.I am acting as a agent on the company’s behalf.You have my contact details and I have spoken to various people with no indication there was a problem with making a visit to the property for a valuation.I find this bizarre that your company with offices nearby to the property have caused such difficulties when three further agents have supplied the same information as you & also visited the property.

Following a detailed review of our files, it would appear the property is owned by another individual and there is no record of you as a third party, whom we can liaise with. We have a duty of care to our clients and would not be able to carry out an appointment for someone else, without prior authorisation from the legal owner. I signed a contract with Beresfords Shenfield to sell my home in Autumn 2023 (along with with my joint homeowner wife). The sale was then delayed because my wife developed health problems that required hospitalisation. Over the proceeding year - I found Beresfords to be uncaring, unsupportive and uncommunicative, in helping us progress our house sale. After having my complaints dismissed by the Beresfords regional director, I am now making a formal complaint to the Ombudsman and would not recommend using this uncaring Estate Agent.
