When I put my flat on the market at the beginning of March 2023, I did not envisage that I would still be living in it at the year’s end. But so it was, as interest rates climbed and nerves were stretched. In the first weeks of 2024, we sailed into calmer water towards completion. Treon was a rock, a consistent presence throughout, dispensing useful information and wise advice, always reassuring, and cajoling when it was needed. I learned an enormous amount from the sales team, and always felt supported. Extremely Unprofessional and Unpleasant Experience

I’ve been renting with Martyn Gerrard Estate Agents for two years, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Before moving in, I requested a deep clean of the flat, which was never done. Instead, I entered a property full of mould and dust, making it clear that tenant well-being is not a priority for this agency.Throughout the tenancy, the property manager changed four times, and every single one of them was rude, unhelpful, and unpleasant to deal with. They have all been unprofessional and seem solely focused on ensuring rent is paid, with no care whatsoever for tenant welfare.Within the first six months of living in the flat, I developed a serious illness due to the extremely old and dirty carpets. I repeatedly requested that they be replaced, but this was ignored for almost two years. It was only addressed earlier this year, after one property manager mentioned that the landlord had already agreed to replace the carpets long ago, but nobody had bothered to communicate this to us.In October, we were served with a Section 21 notice. I tried negotiating for an additional three months as I’m starting a new job in December, but the landlord rejected this. We managed to secure a new property and planned to move out a month early, but since then, their renewal consultant has made my life miserable. She has been disrespectful and sent nasty, threatening emails, demanding full rent payment for the final month, even though I’ve offered to surrender the tenancy on my vacate date, which aligns with their plans to sell the flat.Dealing with Martyn Gerrard has been a deeply distressing and appalling experience. Their behavior has been unprofessional, uncaring, and outright abusive. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through them to think twice, you deserve better than this.

Last year, I unexpectedly had an issue with my tenant, which ended up lasting around 3 months. Not only was I extremely glad I listened to Martyn Gerrard's advice and took out landlord insurance, but more importantly, they handheld my case from start to finish. From dealing with solicitors, insurance groups and the tenants, they provided my with sound advice and guidance and led me through the tough times successfully. They provided clarity and the step by step process we needed to follow to resolve the issue. They resolved the situation for me and I was not left out of pocket at the end. It was a very stressful time for my family and im not sure I could have done this without them. A very special mention to Greg Tsuman, Andrew Eleftheriou and Paul Van Halle.
