Could not have asked for a better team of people to assist us in our first house purchase. From the first viewing through to the exchange and completion they went above and beyond to help us in every way possible. Barrie and Christian were always available to answer any questions about the property. We used their in house mortgage services. Akill made this process a breeze, even making time on weekends for conference calls and helping us with the application. We were so impressed we even decided to take out a health insurance through him. We were concerned at the speed of the solicitors but Barrie chased them up everyday and kept us updated with everything. First house purchase is supposed to be daunting and stressful but we never felt this working with Barrie, Christian and Akill. We are in the process of finishing the purchase of a flat and I can’t recommend Barnard Marcus highly enough. We saw the property back in august last year with Chris who was very helpful. We went on two viewings and saw multiple flats and he didn’t once make us feel like we were taking too much time. He gave honest advice which we really appreciated. When we decided on a flat the team were again very efficient and guided us along the way. Buying in a pandemic proved to be difficult with everything taking longer than usual but Barrie was a gem and acted as a middle hand between us and the developers. He was there to answer our many questions and worked tirelessly to get the purchase through even though we encountered our fair share of delays. We also had some conditions before the purchase and Barrie made sure to get everything in order for us. They’re reliable and genuine, something that’s difficult to find in agencies these days. We would highly recommend working with Barnard Marcus Whetstone and we will definitely contact them if we decide to buy in the area again.

Very good agents - we had a couple of potential agents to sell our flat. Others were very snakelike with their tactics and overvalued our place to try and secure our business. Barrie at Barnard Marcus instead was very professional and gave us a detailed, well prepared and data driven breakdown of how our sale was going to be pitched and managed. Akill the broker was very personable and did excellent work with the mortgage giving us great advice on how to get our next property when the budget got tight. All members of the team were very responsive and professional - we got a bid within two weeks and even though we had a very difficult process with conveyancing and slow and obstructive solicitors from our buyer they were polite, professional and considerate throughout.
