We put our family home on the market with Barnard Marcus after a recommendation from a friend. It was a decision that proved to be the right one. From the initial contact to completion the process was made easy by the team at Whetstone especially Barrie Christophie, who, during the difficult times we endured with our buyers and the chain, and there were a few, made the whole process bearable. His expertise, knowledge and professionalism shone through every time. Despite the fact that Barrie has numerous ‘sold’ properties he is dealing with on a day to day basis, he always made us feel like we were his only client. I cannot recommend Barrie and Barnard Marcus enough and we will definitely use them again.

I can't speak highly enough of my experience with the whole team of Barnard Marcus Estate Agent (Whetstone), especially Barrie Christophi. The whole branch worked very well as a strong and solid team, and proved it was excellently managed by the branch manager Christian. All throughout the negotiations and closing, Barrie quickly handled any issues that had risen, and went way over and beyond his duties to help. Barrie was always available to answer my questions, and I felt like I could talk to him on a friend level for professional advice. He was very supportive, caring and understanding. If the time ever comes when I will be looking to buy/sell again, there isn't any question on using the team at Barnard Marcus again. I will most definitely suggest Barnard Marcus Whetstone N20 branch to anyone i know, who is selling or wanting to purchase a home. We recently saw a property which was on the market with Barnard Marcus Whetstone, we were recommended their inhouse mortgage broker, Akill Patel. Myself and my husband met with him the very next week he stayed late on a Monday after work to see us and from the get-go we felt like we were in safe hands. I purchased my flat through Barnard Marcus 16 years ago and because it went smoothly and quickly, 6 weeks from start to finish, when I decided to sell up and move on I returned to them. This time because I was buying and selling it took much longer but I am pleased to say I have exchanged contracts and completion will be in 2 weeks. The agent I dealt with mostly was Barrie. He kept me informed all along the way as to how things were going. If Barrie was out of the office his colleague Christian was usually available to help and assist me with any problems I may have. It is very stressful buying and selling properties at the same time but both Barrie and Christian were always able to calm a situation and eventually made the transition go as smoothly as possible. I would recommend Barnard Marcus to anyone who is planning to buy or sell a property.

My husband and I had had a bad experience with another estate agent over an eight month period, resulting from offers being continually put forward from insufficiently vetted potential buyers who we were recommended to accept but who subsequently pulled out. As a result of this, we disengaged from them and signed up with Barnard Marcus in Whetstone in June 2024 Our first point of contact was Cameron who advised us to leave the property off the market for a couple of weeks, following which they put it back on the market and arranged an open day towards the end of June. The open day produced an offer which we accepted, following which Barney and Barrie became involved and the three of them oversaw the process in their respective capacities. in view of our past experience, I know that we were probably not the easiest people to deal with. That said, the three of them handled the situation with absolute professionalism and treated us with total respect throughout. They were proactive throughout the whole process and kept us up to date every step of the way. We have just exchanged contracts (October 2024) with the same buyer. We therefore cannot recommend Barnard Marcus as estate agents, together with their staff, Cameron, Barney and Barrie highly enough.

I Sold a family members house through Barnard Marcus Estate Agents and had a very good level of service from beginning to end. I sent an email and was contacted quickly by Barrie who was able to come and value the property and talk me though the process with no pressure at all. I had 2 other estate agents come to the house that day and Barrie was by far the most professional so it was an easy choice. Along the journey of selling the property we had 2 people pull out ( down to the buyers not our fault ) Although this was stressful, I was thankful for honest imformation and opinions which made a very difficult time slightly easier to deal with. I appriciated everyone at Barnard Marcus always being accessible when I had questions and answers were given to me promptly. This is more important to me than most things when dealing with a business. I don't mind issues with a sale or business transaction, thing happen, but honesty is key and that was the level of service I got. The property was finally sold for a brilliant price and I would like to thank Barrie and Barney and everyone at Barnard Marcus for all their hard work A++
