Bad management, no care for furnishings and no proper monitoring of condition of rental property.

I had rented out a furnished flat with Clyde Property in the West End of Glasgow. It was in prime location and was our family home. I informed the letting agent before the rental in 2023 that I would be away for a year due to personal circumstances.During the visit by the agent, I explained the sofa and bed had been purchased from Flexform and was expensive and explained it would need care especially as it was a coloured cream. Clyde failed to convey the information to their regular client and he washed the sofa. It had not been dry cleaned and resulted in the fabric shrinking. Furthermore it was then forced back on to the sofa and the ends of the fabric became torn. It also affected the shape of the sofa.I had a management contract with Clyde and did not receive regular inventory reports. Even after highlighting the issue to them via email they failed to mention it in their inventory report.For 3 months I have chased to get the tenant and Clyde to get the fabric replaced and sent quotations. I did not get anywhere. Many further issues had occurred during the year where Clyde were quick to make decisions without informing myself the landlord. I am now left with a massive repair bill on a sofa. Clyde Property's response at the moment is to make a claim on the deposit and take the client to court. In the meantime they have rented out another flat to him.thanks Clyde Property.

Firstly, Clyde achieved a very strong sale price for my flat, above my expectations. Seven viewings and four offers in ten days, partly perhaps because of the very professional online presentation of the property. The Matterport 3D file captures the interior literally in the best possible light. The negotiator in the Helensburgh office, Seona quickly rescued the sale when the first chain collapsed and found a new buyer coming in with a similar offer. Clyde Helensburgh constantly updated me on the progress, were always prompt and shrewd with advice. I always felt they acted to protect my interest - they were professional, well organised and reassuring.

Selling remotely...

It is not easy to sell a house when living in another country with an 8 hour time difference. But, after an initial face to face meeting with Gavin, everything else was handled remotely. Photography and video footage was excellent. Everyone we dealt with at the Clyde Bearsden office was friendly and helpful. Nicola gave great advice and guided us through the whole process. Would definitely recommend Clyde for professional service.

Consistently unprofessional

Consistently unprofessional, Clyde property professionals do not respond in a timely manor to most if not all requests nor follow up queries when asked. Clyde property professionals in other words could be described as the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing, distracted and uncoordinated.Clyde property professionals do not do any of the imaginary claims stated on their website such as “Taking care of your investment, while you look after the important things” the important thing for a Clyde property customer is to do their job for them or it simply won’t get done.Clyde property also don’t inform landlords or anyone else for that matter, even other Clyde property professionals, of what is going on with there customers properties, landlords and tenants are left chasing things up themselves, the 10% management fee is really for keeping irresponsible, incompetent employees in a job, Clyde property professionals.Obviously would not recommend Clyde property or Clyde property professionals to anyone with a property, stay well clear if you value your investment or are looking for tenants, it’s not worth it to be honest.

THE ULTIMATE SCAMMERS.....LOWER THAN LOW

I rented a property several years ago, and to this day I am still livid at the way I was conned by Clyde property ( should go by the name Clyde Fraudsters !! )After signing the agreement, I moved into a small one bedroom flat in Stirling.When I moved in, there was a dehumidifier, in the flat, which I was advised to use ( I was suspicious,as they must have known there was a problem,with dampness that they never disclosed to me at the time , but more fool me I trusted them that the flat was in order ).FFWD several weeks / months, I contacted Clyde several times regarding dampness in the flat ( which by now was rapidly getting worse ) and by now my suspicions were confirmed, hence the reason of the dehumidifier !!They come out and do regular inspections, so the dampness ought to of been picked up ( and the fact I told them verbally), SHOULD prompt them into taking immediate action. As a Tennant you have no rights to see the inspection report, unless you apply in writing.When I moved out the flat 16 months later, the flat was in poor condition, as Clyde continually ignored my concerns ( I kept it tidy, and done everything by the book BUT, due to Clyde's lack of care,and ignorance it resulted in me getting the blame for the dampness, and losing my deposit ), which is the lowest of lows which I can only describe as ' theft of the highest order '.I also reported other faults such as the front door not closing properly, dampness on the kitchen ceiling, but again fell on deaf ears.The deposit scheme Clyde use is not an option ( though there are a few to choose from in Scotland ). They even tried to charge me extra rent on the day I moved out as they claimed , I had not vactated the property by 10am , in which they never told me this was the time I had to be out for , and no one was moving in anytime soon.Absolute vile of a company, that are pure evil, and while still trading will happily continue to fleece customers !!.Please take my advice and take your business elsewhere, but if you use Clyde, please please take photo's of any problems and date them, and keep all correspondence ( names, even record any phone calls ) so you have proof that all problems had been reported and I would also advise that you send an e mail to the managing director with any issues ( as he / she has a duty of care even though the branches don't ), as trust me they will use all this against you when moving out. I wouldn't trust them to look after a tent far less a house !!, and since that horrible experience several years ago, I have bought 2 properties, and the thought of using Clyde sends shivers up my spine.Seriously robbing every last penny you have when it's not justified, gives those evil people great pleasure. The day this company closes down is the day I will open champagne celebrating no other person will be conned !

Very Highly Recommended - Absolutely first class job done by…

Absolutely first class job done by Clyde Property Bothwell in selling my house in a mere 5 days. I got far more than I ever expected and that was in the main down to Clyde Property’s excellent marketing. The photography and video in particular was exceptional and was commented about positively by many viewers, friends and family. The extra value I received more than covered the very competitive price I paid them. I dealt directly with Jack Johnstone who was very helpful and friendly and clearly knows his stuff. Most importantly he was there to assist on every occasion I called with some minor query which was subsequently dealt with almost immediately. Jack obviously gets the importance of selling your home to each individual and conducts his business accordingly. What more do you want other than great personal service from staff who clearly care, excellent value for money and superb marketing leading to a quick, easy, profitable sale. I cannot praise Clyde Property Bothwell enough and would highly recommend them.
