A good experience!

We have just sold our property through Fine & Country - Diss branch - and purchased through a different agent (not locally) who will remain nameless. Talk about both ends of the spectrum!The F & C team, Chris(topher), Tania and Sue were great. Enthusiastic, good communication and lots of viewings in a short space of time, and we accepted an offer very quickly. As everyone knows these have been difficult times with the stamp duty chaos, but we still received good service. They could really teach the other agent a great deal about communication, efficiency and courtesy, and we wish we had been buying through them as well. Our thanks to the three of you.

Dreadful & Unprofessional

Dreadful & UnprofessionalOur experience with F&C Banbury has been consistently dreadful from start to finish. We don’t normally leave reviews but feel we have to in this case. Too many basic, unprofessional issues to list here. Even after we terminated the arrangement it still haunts us ….. months after they are no longer our agents they have re-added our property on their own website and on right move, which is clearly detrimental to our ongoing sale efforts via another agent. Astonishingly, when asked to remove it immediately they shirk responsibility and actually tell us that it ‘is nothing to do with them’. We are speechless - it’s on their website!Their ‘Gold’ service in our case was more like ‘Rust’. It’s odd that it’s an optional extra on their client agreement form but we were informed that it was obligatory to pay the extra for it. The sales percentage was more than double all local agents and we paid almost £1000 upfront for a shoddily produced and edited video and premium marketing that was in practice worse than others provide for free. Perhaps think very carefully before falling for the slick sales pitch. Good luck with selling your home whichever agent you use.

Sam Funnell of Fine and Country

The marketing process used by Fine and Country is excellent. It was unfortunate that the Covid situation was around when our property went to market, thus slowing things down somewhat. The extension of the stamp duty period really created a rush that Sam and his staff handled really well. Good communication was their forte. A bit more expensive to use than your normal high street agents but in the long run worth it. Would recommend the Rugby branch. Thank you Sam

I can't rate Fine & Country Rugby highly enough! I dealt with Claire Heritage as a purchaser and she was helpful and knowledgeable all the way. She kept me informed of progress at all times and I couldn't have wanted for a smoother transaction - and all in a really short time, too! I'm so thrilled with my new home and, having dealt with other excellent staff at the branch before (selling two houses), I was so relieved the house I bought was being sold through Fine & Country as I knew I'd be in good hands!

Fine & Country's fees are at the top end but they certainly work for them & get results. Halina Day is 'on it' 24/7. She's 100% responsive & very supportive - & works hard to ensure both seller & buyer are well looked after, & the process runs smoothly. Her partner Richard Harper is extremely experienced & knowledgeable about the property market in general & the local area in particular. His historical knowledge is first class - area, land, even the architectural features of a property. All in all a dream team. Everything changed when we met Guy Simmons.

Everything changed with our plans to move to Oxfordshire the day we met Guy Simmons from Fine and County. Guy truly understood our perhaps unusual needs and was able to identify a property not yet on the market which was ideal. Guy has a network of trustworthy professional colleagues who addressed the conveyancing, survey, planning, building, rental agreements etc and he has an amazing degree of local knowledge and he became our go-to man for all aspects of the project which he worked tirelessly on to bring to fruition. Guy is always easily available and friendly and has great personal skills and is a great communicator and clearly very loyal and commited to Fine and County. We have now completed and exchanged on the property but Guy continues to help us with our building plans and I hope we will stay friends for years to come. Definitely top of his game!

Anita Adams property sale fixer

We put our sale into the hands of Anita Adams at Fine and Country Staffordshire knowing we were going into safe hands. Anita originally sold us the house over 20 years ago and her talents are simply unquestionable. We had struggled to sell initially with a local well known agent and their down comings were simply overcome by Anita. We hit various hurdles along a short timeline with a listed house ( sale agreed Jan 2021 and completed March 2021) Anita went above and beyond to make the sale happen and quite simply is the property sale fixer. 4 stars for Fine & Country but 5 stars for Sales Negotiator Alice. Fine & Country provided exceptional service from valuation to completion. Selling and moving home is stressful enough but covid and ill health of partner made it one of the toughest experiences I have had. Alice was there every step of the way, knowledgeable, pro-active but importantly understanding and compassionate, I cannot rate her highly enough. Sale of Somerleyton HouseWe have only once used F&C and were impressed from the start by Chris the Manager of the Diss office with his pleasant manner and efficiency. The start of Covid 1st lockdown interrupted our start but Sue efficiently organised the brochure etc in that time. Tanya and her team organised viewers from the start of June and we had over 20. Our buyer’s buyer had many troubles and we should have exchanged far earlier than we did. Tanya organised for the said person a good mortgage and continually chased him and it up.However busy they endeavoured to keep us up to date with the exchange; for all of us 7 months was too long!It was not their fault. We would highly recommend Fine and Country estate agents in Stamford. Jan and Ildi were so helpful in helping us to sell our home and found our dream home for us. Our sale was pushed through quickly to enable us to secure our purchase and we were always provided with regular updates and support during the conveyancing process.
